Dymo I think that if someone has the opportunity to buy the 11 Pro or Pro Max, they should. The reason I decided to go with the Pro Max is so I could get that third camera, an OLED display, a better IP rating, and the biggest battery in an iPhone to date. Those features are all something I value in a smartphone.

I'm still using iPhone 8+ as my primary phone. Thought about upgrading multiple times, but the home button with the haptic engine, the design and how it runs so smoothly even in 2022 post 14 launch is beyond me. I'm a great fan of iPhones that had the traditional Steve jobs touch and it wouldn't let me think take an action to upgrade to something new. And it came with a charger that I'm still using, although I had to upgrade the cable on multiple occasions.

@@alexandrucionca3281 Hi Alexandru, Yes I'm still getting updates on my iPhone 8 plus. I have it as my secondary device now, as recently when switching a back case I caused some internal damage and lost the WiFi connectivity. Other than that, it still works like a charm.

There have been reports of bad call quality on the Iphone 8 so far. Rumor has it that it might have something to do with software, but the antenna in the iphone seems to be pretty shoddy compared to its Android competitors regardless so that might be a factor as well.

The only difference I can see is a decreased battery life with no real world difference.

I got an iPhone 8 coming from an iPhone 5s and I love it. It's everything I want and need and this will be my primary phone for the next few years. Sure, for people who upgrade every single time an iPhone comes out I can see why this update is boring, but for people who try to make their phones last for a while, this is a beautiful phone and should not be overlooked or dismissed.

Yeah I know how you feel I have iPhone 7 Gold 128GB and iPhone 8 Gold 256GB (both Unlocked, mint condition, hardly used) I’m really happy I got these in my collection because one day we’re gonna look back on these phones and we’re gonna have the same bit of nostalgia that we do for iOS 6.
I have this phone- iPhone 8, using it till today, 4 years going strong !! Running the latest ios 15 and hasn’t run out of storage till today!!
I think IPhone 8/plus is good for still having the same design and screen because many people would still prefer having a home button or prefer the old design over edge to edge display, that's why Apple probably included iPhone 8/plus as an alternative. It's also good mention other than design and display the IPhone X and 8/plus are almost the same in every other aspect so I really like the fact that Apple did this. Also note that though a OLED screen will look much better than the already perfectly nice looking 1080p screen, at the end of the day it's a phone screen. Unless it's your main entertainment device, a fancy OLED screen is pointless on a phone because you'd be more focused on the functionality of it notice the sharp blacks. (I have used a Samsung phone, so I do know how an OLED looks) so buyers know that your only going to be paying extra $200 for an OLED edge to edge display... And that's about it. Furthermore if you have been using Apple you'd know there is a certain pattern, when the iPhone 4 came out it was great but the 4s was the same phone but so much better, same story with 5/5s 6/6s and now 7/7s which they call the 8, and with the X it's going to be a great phone but you know what's going to be even better the Xs. So if you aren't too bothered by display and design, please save your self some money and buy the 8 or even 7 which still holds up pretty well.

I got the gold iPhone 8+ in 2018 and I remember thinking it was the perfect combination of the 7 and the X because it still has touch ID and the 2 cameras (GREAT QUALITY TOO) but then, it also has the wireless charging feature. Plus, personally, I thought the Gold looked really nice! (I know some people don't like it. So, I guess to each their own!)

By establishing some kind of baseline value (even if it's terrible) and then making a better offer, people tend to think of the new offer as a good deal regardless of what it's actually worth. I'm still on the original SE because here even second hand grade C the 8 plus is $500, and I just can't see how that isn't completely ridiculous. If someone who feels blah about having the 8 plus will send it my way, then I'll happily accept it!
