    I bought the WYZE OG and I'm amazed at the amount of features for a 20$ cam!
    I also got the window mount and I was befuddled as to why I get the glare at night. I had the IF on. Thanks for the video, everything works perfectly now!

    As I didn’t want a subscription (like a lot of people), I went with Eufy. I’m using the Mini Indoor C24 and the Mini Indoor 2K (the Best Buy Exclusive Pan & Tilt) inside home to view outside. For the Indoor C24, I would love to find the same window mount to reduce glare but the camera face is not flat. It would be nice that Eufy thinks about this for future models…

      My only complaint is that you can't remove the window mount once its placed. The area you set it up is its final location so you can't make any adjustments or place in new area. That's a real downside 👎🏻.

    Interesting window mount.
    Only can it be angled a bit up or down? If not then it might be useless.
    2:46 though I really like to see about or at least a 30-degree of tilt in each direction.

      My front Reolink NVR cameras..a couple of them record 24/7 and the rest especially on the side and backyard record only all motion events. I only set some of them to give me person and animal notifications. I also have a mix of 4K and couple of 4 and 5 MP cameras. These setup in a 8 channel NVR with 2 TB and gives me 11 days worth of recordings.

    Love the wyze content! Just curious, any up coming reviews on the new anker and eufy products? I like what they make but it makes me very upset to see the recent controversy surrounding them at the moment so I'm guessing that's why there seems to be a sort of hold on eufy content over all on youtube. Wondering what your opinion on this is and keep up the great videos!

    • @LifeHackster
      @LifeHackster  Před rokem +2

      I did review their wall cam recently and they have other new products coming out...2-3 months from now. Yes, that controversy kinda halted their plans..but it is more of misinformation surrounded that issue because the snapshot/rich notification being uploaded to the cloud is a SOP of that feature and every other camera brand also does that...the only difference is that Eufy is not charging money for it..and they are the ones that got it trouble. Thanks for watching!

    You can get a similar window mount for the Eufy C24 camera and the same sets to control IR and LED lights. I've been running this setup for a long time. Plus, there are no subscription cost for thumbnail notifications.

    • @LifeHackster
      @LifeHackster  Před rokem

    ^For a home alarm system.... would you go wired or wireless. I am new to this and trying to figure out which to choose for my godparents house as they have an old wired system that is out of order and the sensors are screwed up. With wireless i worry that the alarm isn't loud enough to hear usually... as their current old wired alarm the whole neighborhood could hear it at night if it goes off lol. ( not that it matters because no one bothers to check their house when it goes off.) With wired i worry though that it could cost more than $2000 for installation? They need a new alarm panel, and then the sensors set up on the windows and motion detection. Not sure what to do as they travel often and want them to have the best. I know nothing will deter a bad guy 100%, but it's also for mostly peace of mind and to check in on the house when away

    • @LifeHackster
      @LifeHackster  Před rokem +1

      Wireless is the easiest way and you have a lot of options. I personally use the ring alarm and hasn’t given me any issues..plus you can build it up..meaning you can start buying the essential kit and add more sensors eventually. The alarm base also has a pretty loud siren.

    Too bad Wyze decided to go with their subscription service. I will never pay for a camera that constantly has to update its firmware. Then, your settings have to be reprogrammed as well as some of the new cameras do not work on the older software. Old cameras record without subscription and new ones do not.
