I feel so old looking at this show zoom I watch it everyday back when I was 7 years old looking at this everyday after school sure does bring me back memories I miss this show.
I was 11 going on 12 when this came out.
Compared to the both of you That means I am ancient history becausre not only did I watch this I also lived through the origonal series back in 1972 to 1978
I’m 1999, I was 8 going on 9 and I was glued to this show. At the time, the kids always seemed much older than me.
I wish it was all online. I’m hoping to find someone who has recordings of season 1, there are 18 episodes of it that aren’t online.

He was about 13 to 14 when Zoom aired at least I think so!
But he passed away at around 21.
It's like seeing your old friends you grew up with. Me and sister loved this show and tried so much stuff from the show when we were home on the weekend, good times!

The Zoom Along is exactly why Keiko is my favorite from Season 1. It was amazing how she could measure crickets chirping.

My favorite show since I was a teenager
I watched this show from 3rd through 6th grade. By season 5, it started to go downhill for me. Season 1 to me, was the best.
Couldn't agree more. I prefer the cast Zoe, Keiko, Jared, David, Pablo, Alisa and Lynesse. I still watched when Carolyn, Claudio, Kenny joined but it wasn't the same for me and stopped watching shortly after. But I would say another reason was because I moved to another state and just lost track of the show.@@amylee8969

One good thing about this episode is that most of it is ZOOM stuff. The zoops was brief and the ZOOMGuest wasn't too long.

I saw this episode well before I even started watching ZOOM regularly in late 1999, so when this episode reaired I recognized it because I remembered the dirt pudding. (I saw it on December 1, since the other time it aired was on Thanksgiving and I doubt I watched ZOOM that day. My station might have even preempted it).
What's interesting is, from what I've researched, I think after season 1 finished premiering in April 1999, it started again with 103, and 102 didn't air again until August. So I must have first seen 102 right around the time the show first premiered. What's odd is I think it was in the morning on a Sunday. My station usually repeated episodes of shows that had aired the previous Tuesday morning on Sundays. 102 aired the first two times on a Tuesday and Monday afternoon, though.

David Sukenick Season 1 is my fave, then season 3, than season 5, than season 2, then season 4. And season 7 is my least favorite so I guess seaosn 6 would be next on the list.

I loved this show growing up its why I loved learning ! Man we need shoes like this now ! very educational and fun I would recommend to all children.

Hi-5 was another great one. Nathan was funny and had a amazing singing voice. He reminded me a lot of Jared.

Here's something interesting. The local station usually rebroadcasted the same episode the next day, right? Well I found a site that lists that as happening, but in December 2002, things were a little different, as the local station would broadcast the episode FIRST and then air it on WGBY later that day!

Adam Sukenick Yeah. It convinced me 125, 113 and 105 don't have Cafe ZOOMs and 121 and 116 don't have ZOOMDos.
I'm pretty sure 113 had three.
The episode where Pablo makes a rainstick also had a segment with Alisa making a color symphony. But the paper worm looks like it's from the same episode. That would be awesome if Alisa, Pablo and Keiko all got a solo segment in the same episode. I know Jared and Alisa both had a solo segment (the germinator sci and the friendship bracelet do) in 125; it would be so cool if Pablo did as well. Fingers crossed for an episode where all three had one! :)

I have to THANK YOU for uploading all of these episodes. You're AWESOME!!! Now I can relive my childhood. I loved coming home from school to see carmen San Diego that gameshow (2:30- 3:00), then it would be Bill Nye or the Magic School Bus (3:00 - 3:30), then Mark Kistler's Imagination Station (3:30 - 4:00), Wishbone (4:00-4:30), Arthur (4:30- 5:00), and finally ZOOM (5:00 - 5:30). And World News Tonight would be on from 5:30 to 6; and then local news (or CBS's channel 13 Jeopardy) on at 6 to 6:30. And Wheel of Fortune on at 6:30 to 7:00. and I actually have Asperger's syndrome. That's how I can remember detailed things like this.

I remember I used to think the Cafe ZOOM was so good. Now I see it's just chocolate pudding with some crushed wafers and gummy worms. And the foil at the bottom...I wouldn't to have that when I eat it.

Yeah season 1 was a little less polished than the other seasons. The original ZOOM was even less so.

ZOOMfan1 I don't remember it terribly well either. When I got back into ZOOM in 2004 it was the only season I was unable to really rewatch since I didn't really have any recordings of it and it wasn't being aired. Thankfully I did sort of see a bit of it through The Making of ZOOM, which I got on VHS from the library in January 2005.

It was at this time another Zoom like show started. It was an Australian show. The guy Nathan on that show was very much like Jared as well as Kenny and others and the girl Charli reminds me of Kaleigh.

I read she went to Disneyworld over the summer on her ZOOMpage, so maybe she missed a week of filming.
I like that she's in all the ZOOMChats of the season that ZOOMFan1 has.
I know I said it wasn't my favorite before but this episode is almost perfect aside from the Cafe ZOOM. But that does make a big difference.

Did I ever tell you about the time I actually had dirt pudding? It was at a garden party I went to for my school (it was basically a someone homeschooling their kid and some others like me) in the spring of 2001.

Oh that's awesome how ZOOM closed the day before NBR. Where I lived I don't think ZOOM closed the PBS Kids block on weekdays until September 2003 and continued to until October 2004. That was after season 1 had been pulled out of rotation.

In season one it seems they crammed more stuff in. ZMail included this episode had 8 proper segments, three of which were solo segments.
Season 2 did as well. At least for some episodes.
