You're so pretty and your locs are absolutely GORGEOUS 😍 I agree with every single reason, especially the length retention and the low maintenance. Thanks so much for this video ❤❤❤
I agree about the loose natural hair. My sister locs are everything. Wish I had done it long ago. It's me and I'm free. The rain or working out does not scare me either. Bonnet and bed. Your whole video is the gospel. Stay beautifully you.
I went to youtube university (lol) and learned how to retie my sister locs. I love it!! I don't have to rely on anyone and I can take my time doing it and save that 100-150 a month. I don't have that disposable income, maybe when I do I will get them professionally retied. I agree to everything you said, being a free natural was tiring and being in my natural state I do feel beautiful for sure.
Great video these are all the same reasons I chose SisterLocks. Detangling my hair was down right depressing and seeing how much hair I loss. My hair is thanking me for the freedom of SisterLocks🥰
My loctian charges a flat rate! And I love how fast she works; usually 1 hr. to 1.25 max. I'm on my second set, but my first set was past half way down my back.
Hi Tanika!! Thank you so much😊! My Most recent upload shows my hair down. I also had a professional color my loose natural hair before my establishment. Here is link for most recent video. czcams.com/video/Qtk_Ic7bQHE/video.html
Your added videos are cracking me up🤣🤣🤣 i am also crushing on the sister loca but I cut my hair some months ago and miss the length. Thinking about waiting but not sure.....?
It is a lot less to loc when shorter. I am however glad I waited and grew my hair out before locking because I didn’t have to deal with a lot of slippage and the starting awkward phase didn’t last long for me.
Thank you Tiffany! I actually have not been swimming in the last year. Knowing how I am, I would probably braid and band out of an abundance of caution lolol. But honestly I haven't experienced any unraveling or slippage so if I went swimming freestyle I would be ok more than likely.
Your hair is so freakin beautiful 😍. I’ve been thinking about getting sister locs,,,, I have 3 types of hair textures and the shrinkage is horrible. Do you have advice on shrinkage and locs?
Thank you!! Its just something you have to deal with until your locs mature. I have major shrinkage. Finally starting to feel like I am getting some length after almost 2 years of being locd.
Hi Sharida, I've been watching your you tube videos on sisterlocks and I found them to be very informative. Thank you for being so transparent. My question is, I've been researching sisterlocks for the last 2 years and no one has covered what I'm about to ask. I would like to know if I can keep my hair short once I get sisterlocks? Being that sisterlocks start at the bottom of the hair shaft and not at the root, would keeping them short be a problem?
I think once they have locked you can keep them as short as you’d like. If you cut before locked they my unravel and you may prolong the locking process.
Ok I am now doing my research and to be honest I have not seen any locks that look like yours. Now that I’ve seen yours I would like the texture and length. Your locks look so smooth with a define curl. Is that due to your own texture if your hair?
Everyone's will look different...even if you have the same length and pattern as someone else. The way in which they are installed can also make a difference, so be sure to find a good consultant. I started with 17 inches of hair and I have mostly 4a/4b hair type.
I’m have gray that I don’t want to see. Any advice on what to do with it until I am given permission to color. I am scheduled to loc in a month. Anything I should focus on while waiting?
I honestly think you may have to get comfortable with the grays temporarily. Color can relax the curl pattern a bit and cause some issues with locking. Talk to your consultant to see what your options are.
@@SharidaM thankyou can you tell me who your loctician is me and my friend were looking at your locs last night she didn’t know what they were but when she seen yours she was like omg her curly ends hers are absolutely beautiful

Thank you so much Lena!! 💕🖤How long have you been on your journey?
@@SharidaM how are they low maintenance? I read It's expensive to retwist compared to other type of locs
I want my hair done just like yours.

I envy you!!! 😩 I wish I had the skill and patience for self reties. A serious downside for me is having to rely on others for my hair maintenance.
Should try to get a professional retie once per year....

Absolutely lol!
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous 😍
Thank you so much Ruth! 💕
Sisterlocks and then nanoshaded eyebrows a year later. I got all my time back! 💅🏿
Girl yes! I’m micro bladed too lol. Daily time saver!
Love your channel! My sisterlock consultation is in 2 weeks and I'm super excited!

Phenomenal feedback, thank you beauty; I'll definitely wait💞

Thank you for joining my lil community lol 😘!!
I love your hair! I do have a question about swimming. Do you have to band before a dip or can you dive right in lol?

I wish we could’ve saw your grid and length
Check out my most recent upload. I wear it down :-)

Very beautiful locs! They are just georgeous 😍 Are your locs SisterLocs or MicroSisterLocs?
Thank you 💕! I have Sisterlocks on the small end but not quite micro
@@SharidaM ahhh ok i see. They are just magnificent! Love them!! ❤️

Can you do a video about your hair coloring process if you haven't already? Did you use henna or something else?
I had a profession put Balayage highlights in my hair pre install. Have not done any touch ups since.

Do you have issues with dryness? How do you keep it moisturized?
Just light spritz of water and I oil my scalp lightly after a retie.
I wish you would have shown us your locs down.
They will be down in the next video :-)

can you ecplain the grid and your loctician
I just know they work off a trademarked Sisterlocks grid. I’m not a consultant so I don’t know in depth details.
