    Thanx for that video bro.
I used your string trick idea and used a 14/2 black wire
I drilled a hole in a 3/4 inch clear plastic tube and ran the wire through it and pulled
    It through the firewall hole.
    The 3/4
Inch fit over the existing factory tube like a sleeve and I put a small radiator clamp on it. So far so good. 😎

Thank you! I purchased a new tube from GM for $30 and used your advice to get it into place. It was interesting to see the difference in the length between the old and new tube. The new tube was at least 1/2 inch longer!

I'm glad that it all worked for you Damon. Buying the longer tube is a great idea!

I'm having an exact same problem everyone says the tubing is 1 inch too short and it pops and come loose overtime. I have literally for the last 2 years been putting a clear shower curtain over my car to prevent rain getting in it. My dad said it looks like my car has a rain poncho 😆😂Thank you for posting this video.

I threw away that grommet that is suppose to go into the firewall.
I would have had to take out the glove box to get that to work.

How did you remove the panel under the hood?

Best bet is to cut and splice it midway.. it will not stay due to tension from the tube.
Tractor supply, 3/8 plastic coupler and 3/8 clear hose plus silicone sealant.
splice and run new hose through the firewall and into the fender opening, then seal
around the new hose... Original design was horrible and so far Cadillac doesn't feel it's their responsibility to fix it under warranty..hope this helps someone. Now on to the rear
hatch water issue and lift gate release failure..

My wife drove home from her moms in a rain storm and she informed me her passenger side floor board is soaked as well. I'm sure if I took to a dealer they would charge at least $300 or more. I appreciate the insight and will tackle this problem next week.

3 years later and GMC has not said a word about the issue

Are there drain tubes running on drivers side as Well? If they are clogged/disconnect would it cause water puddling on driver side floor under pedals?

jessalynn oleksy I didn't look at the driver side, but I would assume the same problem could be on both sides.

      Yes
They aren’t bad about leaking like the other side though.
