  • LOL, these guys Loves to joke around and they also seem to target the fans. It kinda shows the dynamic and it is wonderful. They are treating the fans like friends or one of the members.... Now that is refreshing

I agree with what u said….there are some songs that are ruined by unnecessary rap in kpop ( or maybe it’s personal because I’m not a huge rap fan) but I just love the fact that all the hiphop unit can sing just as well …so in most seventeen songs which are vocal oriented rappers just sing instead of adding unnecessary rap 🤭🤭 also I forgot to mention …when u said falling flower describes Seventeen’s music …that’s such a huge compliment fr I loooove that song and it’s choreo is just art❤❤ I actually literally cried when I saw their special performance video of that song …it’s just so perfect 🙆‍♀️🙇‍♀️

Some songs are ruined cuz it would have been an Awesome Rap song if they let them do their stuff but.... they are cut short. LOL. Either way I think it could ruin the song.

What amazes me about SVT is that even with 13 members their song lines distribution is one of the fairest in the industry and the fact that everyone is able to sing and rap means that no one is left out no matter what the concept of the song is. Rappers and performers can sing ballads, harmonize and hit high notes as well as performers and vocalists can rap, some examples are 'I can't run away' by the hip hop unit, 'Super' or 'Just Do it' where vocalists rap, 'Shadow' or 'Tiger' where performers rap and 'Lilili yabbay' where performers sing and harmonize. They're just so talented, perfect example of real aces 🔥

Ohhh, excited you're watching this! Coz, youve just touched the tip of their discography so far.. they release so much its just great!! N these guides will give a hint of what to choose to watch as well.
To hear its Seventeen's music.. its a great compliment, imho - for some reason, im feeling proud, lmao.
Looking forward to your SVT reactions!!

Yes Seventeen come up with their own fanchants themselves. They usually write their own fanchants so it fits seamlessly in the song and enhances it (the fanchant for Home is a perfect example of that). And they sometimes make it purposefully hard because after all "this song is super tiring to perform so our fans should also be tired doing the fanchant" 😂.
Seventeen's discography is large (they're an 8 yo old group with minumum 2 comebacks a year) and very diverse because they like mix and matching and experimenting with different units and pairings. You have their fixed units (vocal, performance, hip-hop) each with their own developed sound, as well as mixed units (random combinations of members of the 3 teams), age line songs, "foreign" line songs, random duos etc... And since they're self-producing and all members have different personal styles and tastes, all those different combinations make for very diverse songs that somehow still all feel Seventeen™. That's the beauty of their music imo.

So excited to see you react to the guide but also I was really surprised because I know you already know them fairly well - still. This guide is so detailed and has such good information even people who became familiar with them on their own will learn things watching it I think.
You're so right - there are a few Japanese releases that sound like just "classic" Seventeen sound, but then most of them I think are really made with their Japanese audience clearly in mind for the sound and style of the song. I'm not Japanese (maybe obvious but just to be sure! haha) but I think that's really cool and I really appreciate that they not only do something "different" for their Japanese releases - I often see people talk about how a kpop groups Japanese releases will hit harder or be extra cool or exciting - so not just different, but uniquely more in a Japanese style for sound or aesthetic. Seventeen and their Japanese fans have a very special relationship, from what I have seen. Their Japanese tours and appearances in general are so successful.
I know what you mean - for some groups if the rappers aren't flexible enough to be able to sing well, they will really not be able to just have vocal heavy songs without neglecting a member or forcing a rap into the song or having a song where every member isn't able to shine well. Seventeen doesn't really have that issue due to everyone being able to sing well enough to have ballad songs that include every member, but I also really appreciate that they have the units to let more specialized and unique colors come through in their songs and to let each member in the unit have more time to be heard. Sometimes the OT13 songs go by so fast with every member getting a time to shine that's usually one or two lines - but it all balances out and feels actually much more fair with the inclusion of their special units as well. Something for everyone, and places for their uniqueness and creativity to come out even more. Such a great observation.

It wasn't a survival show! It was just a reality show. It comes with many hardships and missions 😂

The 17 Project was really meaningful for me. It helped me to understand where they come from and how far they really came. It's quite emotional tho. Be warned.
They do have over 100 songs. I love their Japanese releases. Their latest title track Ima-Even if the World End Tonight is amazing. I liked what you said about the units, making each song shine. I look forward to more music (after you're done with the guide.)

Thank you sooooo much for this.
They have 13 members so, this guide did a good job for separate it into unit to make it easier to remember the members name.
And yes 17 make their own fanchat sometimes, and not all group make their own fanchat , sometimes the fanclub/fandom leader or company made it and give itu to fans.
Seventeen almost direct everything for themselves especially in the beginning, from album cover, songs, choreo, marchandise and even the fanchant.
