Hi chidera, i just got admitted for the October intake at GBS Malta..... The adviser from school told me that i will need to show 3,000euros POF for the visa application, but that when i arrive in malta i will need to show 8,000 euro POF in total to be able to apply for permit. pls what do you think about this, because i hear people say its 12k euro and some 8k euro for visa application
Hi chidera. Kindly allow me to ask this question on here! Thanks. Please it's been exactly 2months and a day today I applied and submitted my files at the VFS Nigeria for a student visa. And till today No update, No interview mail, Nothing Nothing. Just that I received a mail saying "passport on transit" on 3rd of April which you later clarified its an error from the CVU...fine. But please what can be the cause of the delay in my visa processing like I said it's 2months and a day today and nothing has come out yet. I haven't gotten a Visa Decision and my passport hasn't gotten back to Nigeria... GBS malta will resume tomorrow(6th may) and I was supposed to travel on friday(3rd may) but to no avail because passport is yet to be received back and decide is yet to be known... this waiting really sucks, tiring snd exhausting😢... kindly help out with some useful information. Thanks once again
Is there a way you can track the passport to know if it has gotten to Malta. Please let your school about the delay. I really don’t know why it’s taking this long.
@@ChideraObinna1 yea I received a mail when it got to malta 2-3days after submission at the VFS. and there's no how I can track it.. I only received passport in transit since April 3rd

When I did my application, I only had to show 3 months travel insurance and I used Axa mansard (schengen)for that which didn’t cost up to 25k. After I arrived Malta I had to get a proper 1 year health insurance (Elmo insurance) for about €125. I don’t know if you can still use Axa mansard travel insurance for one year, I really don’t know.
@@ChideraObinna1 ok thank you very much...so for the accomodations the school ask I pay 700euro..for just 1month which is quite huge knowing I have not gotten the visa yet...is it not better I do an hotel booking to that effect???
@@iyesomiikhena8155 if they will allow you do a hotel booking it’s ok. But I heard it’s part of their new policy that you book a month with them. You can ask to confirm before you decide on what to do.

Please is because you were once a student in Malta that gave a lift to travel to Germany was visa approval needed for you to travel to Germany?
The Malta residence permit allows you to travel to other Schengen countries visa free so yes I didn’t need a visa to travel to Germany.
