I'm amazed the xenomorphs took over Australia considering the competition they would had against those horse sized spiders.

Well you're both right. We are surrounded by ocean. No way in or out. Alien hives could be found so deep within the Simpson Desert or the other 6 huge deserts we have that they would never ever be found. Small population. No way of escaping. Unarmed. They can thrive where nothing else will. Now imagine a Big Red Kangaroo or Eastern Grey Kangaroo mixed with Xenomorph DNA. We would not ever stand a chance. A single egg would be a death sentence.

No dounts about it, that would be a great mini series, spanning one to three seasons. It'd be harsh enough here without the utilities functioning, but adding in an apex predator infestation would take survivors to the extreme! It would make The Walking Dead look like The Sound Of Music.

I love that the comics simply disregard the deaths of Hicks and Newt. I mean, killing off a little girl and the most badass movie character ever, off screen! One of the worst decisions in movie history.

Dude, you should check out the titles by Dark Horse from the 90s. Their Alien, Predator and Terminator stories, some stories where they cross, way before shitty movies came out, are so much better than the films. They showed how the movies should have gone. Awesome channels like this one keep those stories alive.

This NEEDS to be a movie like an apocalyptic world with xenos everywhere it would be darker than the others with people of all ages dying by both xenos and humanity itself, maybe it would take place after resurrection since i think they were already heading back to earth only then to find it is chaos

A Netflix series would work. It would be allowed to fulfill a story as oppsoed to cramming it all in a 90 minite movie.
I mean shit, we had World War Z for fuck's sake! The novel was really good, movie was eh.... disappointing to say the least. And with this we could finally have a real cool futuristic sci-fi war flick. We really only ever get one of those if they have some sort of weird gimmick, like that "Edge of Tomorrow," ("Live, Die, Repeat"), or somethin.

Really solid writing too for a pulp/comic novel. The text has an “accelerating”, punchy feeling to it. Mirroring the spread of the aliens and the associated chaos.
I was about 10 years old too when i first read this novel. It was scary, but addictive.

Really good writing - even if you're quoting directly from sources it sounds really natural. It's all about the monster - only Giger, O'Bannon, Shusett and Scott's alien is this bloody terrifying.

This would make an amazing show on HBO or Netflix.
They'd have to alter it to become canon but. I would happily pay to watch it. HBO would be the ideal ones to do it and they could do the slow and steady build, getting to know and love our main cast of characters and then seamlessly introduce the xenomorphs and showcase it's nature. Really flesh out its behaviors and its initial stealth and zeal as people try and hunt it and contain it only to realize it's too late and the xenomorphs transition from their shadowy hunting nature to their propagation and swarm mentality as humanity struggles to react and lured in with false senses of security at first. It would be absolutely amazing.
It would be cost prohibitive on this scale. 10 times that if Game of Thrones.

"The captain goes down with his ship" is just a legend. No halfway competent navy would waste experienced leaders like that. It's more likely that naval customs evolved that the captain be the last man to leave a stricken vessel; he's responsible for every life on board his ship, so he must do the most he can to ensure their survival in a crisis.

It's a tradition. It's not exactly enforced as far as my brother told me but it is basically what a captain is expected to do if his vessel is sinking. Of course,that can be ignored as well.
I always read it as a simple statement of reality, in contrast to other areas of the military. High ranking army officers were rarely at risk in most historic conflicts. In the Navy though, everybody dies if it goes wrong. The posh officers are at the same risk as everyone else, and it can be read as "EVEN the captain goes down with the ship".
This goes beyond a "comic book dub."
I like the narration style, the filters, effects, music, and live-action elements mixed in.
The clip from the beginning was perfect for setting the stage of this episode.
I appreciate the work and effort you've put in to making this series the closest thing we'll get to a "film."
I remember parts of this, read the Aliens volume 3 that was black and white comic book by Verheiden, it was messed up, if aliens infest more than one city whole planet is like Doomed from the start.

Truth be told, think about it... a single alien will adapt into a queen without the presence of a queen. It may not be a strong queen but it would become an egg layer. A single egg and THAT would be enough. No civilian or civilian Law Officer could possibly take out one of these mothers before there were at least 3-7 stronger queens laying better, more fertile eggs in the basements of little old ladies or guys who don't have families and are never visited or a dark recess in a sewer/basement/you name it.
One egg= end of humanity
I'm astonished that the corporate assholes who wanted to make a weapon out of these things didn't think that far ahead. They were thinking in terms of ants and bees, earth-like insects. The idea that these things work on an empathic level that transcends/mutates[?] human thought patterns so the dreams of the most empathetic humans are so imprinted that the more ignorant/stupid of humans begin to worship what they don't understand and aliens borne from this reality adopt even the IQs of our greatest minds without even gestating any great minds. They just have to be NEAR them... or within miles of a human 'follower' who craves the incubation.
God is not there but this thing IS there. It is real. It can lay an egg inside of you. How much more REAL do you want? These are our gods!!

@@jackofshadows8538 It is an unlike scenario though. If only because of their life cycle. It does not take IQ above 100 to realize that the destruction of humankind is not in their interest. An evolutionarily advanced parasite does not kill its host. After all, humans are able to live without Xenos, the reverse is not entirely true. So Xenos posses another great disadvantage.
How do you procure bodies if humans are able to read footprints and set up tracking and reporting systems?
A man with a gun is far more dangerous than an alien. And can use animals who are able to detect aliens. The best bet is to spread facehuggers, as they are the hardest to detect. But still, there are motion detectors, thermo cameras, all sorts of things that are able to keep people relatively safe.
I am not confident in their ability to destroy humanity. For example, sewers sound great on the paper. It is dark, no one goes there. But that is only because there is nothing interesting down there. If there was a chance of aliens living in sewers, we would flash them out the next day. Everybody would carry a gun, everybody would carry a self-destructive device. There would be walls, seismic detectors, houses on poles.
Night horrors terrorizing fringes of society? Yes, but that is about it. I do not see it happening.

In my humble opinion, this story arc of the Accounts of the Earth War sounds a hell of a lot like the storyline of Capcom's 1994 arcade video game adaptation of Alien Vs. Predator, albeit a lot more cold, gruesome, depressing, and nihilistic. Great job, and keep up the good work.

Honestly the earth war is what should've been Alien 3. With the teaser trailer giving some kind of tease that it would be on earth it just seemed like a natural escalation of things. Alien: 1 alien kills a space trucking crew, Aliens: 100s infest a colony and attack Colonial Marines. Alien 3 should've taken it a step further and realized Ripley's fears of Xenomorphs reaching earth thanks to Weyland Yutani. Honestly might've been a way to end the series with a bang. Earth is invaded and humans take back thier world in some way, shape or form and the series ends on that note.

What is scary is Small hives out in the wilderness or unpopulated areas. The fear of monsters in the woods would come back into human consciousness as disappearing people report would come in daily and you knew you could be next.

AvP gives an idea of just how this could get out of hand. A 'starting point', so to speak. It also has a cool way of explaining the 'ancient astronaut theory', albeit a frightening way. Both 1 and 2 of the AvP series give a 'boots on the ground' view of what a single skirmish might be like. But this? This really would make for a scary script - if done by the right director. Both Scott and Cameron have the skills needed. What would REALLY do it is if the two worked together..like Spielberg and Lucas. Now, you're talkin'! Both 1 and 2 of the original series are, in my opinion, the very best of them!

What a nightmare. But one that was entirely foreseeable. Just one escape and the whole thing could turn into a nightmare. And because of it they lost an entire planet. That takes a special kind of stupid. Sadly Ripley's spirit getting to say "I told you so" probably isn't very satisfying considering the situation.

I have been watching your channel for years but every once in awhile I come back to this video. Something about just draws me in. It makes me wish that a TV show or a mini series was made about the Earth Wars. We have distopian shows abound but they all have hope or something to cling to. How often do we get one where we lose? Hubris and fanaticism lead to the destruction of our society forcing man to abandon its home? It's dark, it's gritty, its part of a franchise that has had a cult following for over 40 years. Good God Almighty it gives me chills just thinking about it. I only ever watched the movies but then I found this channel and it showed me a completely new dimension of this series. Thank you for doing what you do!
