btw, saw some comments about this: I am aware of the 1.18 update for minecraft, I mention it at 3:06. It was the trailer for part 1 of the update, but I was referring to the caves part specifically, hopefully it made sense in context. Also when I put botw on screen when I was talking about triple A games, I was using botw as an example of a triple A game, not a game that was boring.
Hi
DO YOU LIKE AMONG US
I am annoyed becouse the game I play all the time has a battle pass that you have to grind like 200 hours for. And now there is only like 1 week left
@@Hectopath2006 yes
the 1.18 caves update is fantastic! imo better then 1.16, changes generation forever and finding ore and diamonds is a whole lot more fun! you can find some amazing stuff in those 1.18 caves just gonna say that
i agree, in my younger days I had the patience and I sort of liked the grind, now I just stick to 4x games because it's hard to battlepass them, and because the grind feels worth it most of the time.
Oddly enough when I was younger I couldn’t handle grinding because I was incredibly impatient and now I just stopped playing maplestory which I was grinding repeatedly
I ended up liking fighting games a lot more as I got older. Smaller, dedicated communities built around building skills that can't be faked or augmented. The more I liked my real life, the less inclined I was to spend hours in open world games roleplaying as someone who enjoyed their own company.
@@eresoup7229 I grinded for 10 hours so I m different from you back then I say that in the must weird way I possible I realized
The best way to overcome the chore of grind is to give yourself a large scale in-game project that you cut down into smaller tasks, while listening to some music while grinding.
I have games on my computer but I got minecraft PE and always like to make my own personal caves with stairs going down to bedrock but its so boring. I can play music on other tabs with my computer tho.
Also I don't have minecraft on my pc
I often watch anime to pass the time while grinding, I recomend it!
That’s the best way to overcome any large chore
Who the hell has time for that
The sad thing is that a lot of the games I play have gone down this path and I enjoy the games but I am having trouble enjoying them.
It’s not the games, it’s you
@@ishid_anfarded_king Perhaps
That’s what happens when you play thevsame type of games
@Meme Lord you wonder why your bored 🤣
One thing i have to say though is that Pokemon is kinda going down a good path here? I mean yeah, some people have complained the XP Share as it is is broken because it gives too much XP, but honestly, when i did a casual playthrough of BDSP, i didn't mind the XP Share, actually, it was just on point. I never felt like i was massively overleveled, but i do remember making it through Victory Road with relative ease, just for the first Elite 4 member to straight up bitchslap me several times. Once i defeated him, the rest of the Elite 4 was easy going. That is, until i reached Cynthia, who wiped me with her Milotic. Yes, her Milotic, i didn't even make it to Garchomp on my first few attempts. And once i did, it, too, bitchslapped me, until i remembered that my Alakazam has a fairy type attack, and even then, i barely survived that duel.
I agree wholly on battle passes -- but I disagree about mining in Minecraft. It's just so... *Relaxing.* That is to say when your damn cave isn't flooded. Draining is a hassle when you're starting out.
When I was little, a good minecraft friend of mine on ps3 always said "if you're not mining without music, you're doing it wrong". That's when I learn to turn down environment volume and turn up the music or play my own playlist. It's definitely relaxing.
especially when you are listening to some music or watching a video, it's peaceful
@@wolverdep4739 just leave the minecraft music on
@@hello_ree naw I don't feel it

You're actually one of the best channels on CZcams right now. You're going to grow fast, so get ready to become one of the most popular animation channels ever. I'll be proud to say I was here since 50k.

@@zootaxy7589 I’m not mad I said “SHUT UP” cuz as a way of saying pie is my fav YTER
Personally, I don't mind mining in minecraft, it's a good way to relax, and it feels nice just to use fortune to mine diamonds
I love watching yt and chilling when I'm playing/grinding in minecraft
I feel like skyblock has a lot of good examples of grinding. Skills are really good until you hit 20 on any skill. At that point it becomes mindless grinding. Also unlocking collections are really good sometimes, although not near all the time.
Yep grinding fishing and foraging caused me to quit (as well as losing over 1b to a glitch) and now I just have like full storm maxed and full maxed necron with a bunch of items and stuff sitting in my inv
Yeah and then you have to grind so much to get even close to mid/late game with the sharp increase of necron's handles and inflation and edrags etc
I've been playing skyblock since its release on multiple account on multiple profiles, and I can confidentially say that it does not have a single good example of a worthwhile grind
IMO the game is updated faster than you can progress and there are massive timewalls when grinding for a certain item
@@rlvideosgunner LMAOOOOOO
that was a joke right... anyone that has played over a year disagrees so I'm just making sure your being sarcastic.
I've actually started to love no man sky because of the rework they did like 2 years ago or so it makes the whole game a lot more fun then at launch
that game made the biggest comeback i've ever seen
Pokemon fans:Yo this gameplay is fire🔥
The gameplay
True
yes, but I still play it anyways
i’m loving your channel so much 🥰🥰 im going to binge watch all of them!!
This was actually a very interesting video, I don't play all that many games but for the ones that I do I don't usually enjoy grinding but I can confirm when I get a reward out of it it makes it all feel worth it. Also keep up with the fantastic videos yo!
Hope you get to 100k before the end of 2021. The work you put into these videos definitely shows.
This actually catches the feeling so well
Grind is basically just filler for games, it’s fine but only to a certain point. In a perfect world, there would be little to no grind in video games, but if that were the case in this world then most games would be 3-5 hours long.
This video is amazing and I can tell that you put alot of work inro in . I just subbed . Keep it up
This was honestly a really great video! Nice job!
GREAT VID BRO LOVE IT SO MUCHHH like honestly ur slowly becoming one of my favorite channels I’m ur biggest fan
'ppreciate that man
watching this video just made me remember a great game called 'fight my monster' on the web back around in 2010 that i did not play much because I was too young to fully appreciate it
“I wouldnt play so much if i didnt actually enjoy my time playing” this guys never heard of league of legends
Man your videos are amazing, you deserve more subs 100%
tbh this is honestly so hard for me to watch due to the fact I can't stop thinking about a game I used to play, (It's taken down now, and unplayable.) it had the best grinding mechanic ever, and you had to grind for HOURS upon HOURS to level up once or twice out of the 100 needed levels to get more powerful. This sounds so boring, but the bosses you had to grind out felt different each time you fought them, it was the most fun I think I've ever had gaming at all.
What was the game called?
@@willyblondehair8070 It was a child game, on roblox. It was undertale monster mania by robloxo studios
@@AntiNuke_ I thought it was Pokémon Brick Bronze
@@Z_eroOfficial I loved that game too, but I was always too stupid to realize my team sucked and I couldn't beat any of the gyms
@@AntiNuke_ My strat was start with mudkip evolve before electric gym then you can easily take down the electric gym because marshtomp is ground type
You got a new sub with this one!! I love your channel man you have a good ass personality to listen too!
This applies to everyone from many different games, the only reason we grind these things out is for the huge rush of dopamine in the end
Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers!
It’s really nice to see someone who actually covers the games I play in (at least some) detail. Also yeah skyblock is kinda pain after early game, thirtyvirus def said it best (along the lines of “early game is the best part of skyblock.” Everything’s new, a ton of stuff you can do, and this is when you keep on upgrading items, skills, etc. mid game is the worst, where all you can do is grind skills and money methods, but late game is decent, cuz hopefully you have the coins to do dumb junk
i enjoy how from soft deals with grind. the accomplishments are so big you dont *feel* like you're grinding, you feel like youre getting better.
I hope you go far honestly probably one of the most original channels
omg when you said “the grind is too long” i *INSTANTLY* thought of skyblock lmao
This man's videos are just a vibe my new favorite CZcamsr
Congratulations on 100k!
in minecraft the armorer, the weaponsmith and the toolsmith all unlock diamond tool trades once they fully level up, so you can essentially get infinite diamond equipment if you just make a protected village and upgrade them all, and it saves a ton of time compared to mining so much.
you know my mans on that video grind
Because the focus on gaming shifted from a fun past time to a ruthless focused based competition that leaves you empty and searching for the next high.
Damn this channel be groing hella fast keep the work up
2:26 that was the most shameless diamond spawn in I’ve ever seen. Literally left a hole in the ground xD
Great stuff man!
GTAO is one of my favorite games atm and while I hate the grind, I love being able to drive around the city and send unsuspecting players flying in my ramp buggy
Trying to beat Cynthia is so hard. Also good video!
3:52 fuuuuck I watching this while getting alchemy 50 and it was low key horrifying for a video that were mindlessly watching to talk about the game you are playing
"I am ok with mining because I know I will be rewarded"
Me mining for 16 hours with no diamonds
good video, i hope you enjoy your playthrough of hades, one of my favorite games.
I feel like one thing you forgot to mention was the overall length of games when you're constantly getting more. It's not just the grind, but in linear games like horizon zero dawn or death stranding, trying to finish the games out so you can enjoy other games just makes it hard to deal with because you have so much more to finish. Which is the one reason I've given up on a few games
Hey man I really like your channel. Its something super chill I can watch whenever. The part with 30 dollar KBBQ was hilarious. Because I'm the exact opposite I would rather spend 30 bucks on korean barbecue than a 10 dollar game. I'm a huge gamer but I just love food
Mmmm
I agree, I love Terraria, it's one of my favorite games. But OH MY GOD, having to clear half of my world from the corruption or Hallow so I can travel safely is one of the most boring things ever.
For me it's what I realize I forgot to upgrade my pickaxe so I dont have mythrial to progress now I gotta mine for god knows how long with a shitty pickaxe
i always hate doing whatever the main purpose of every game is. i hate battling in pokémon, i hate mining in minecraft, and i hate farming in stardew valley. go figure.
yea mining in minecraft is literally the most boring thing ever.
@@AquosFrost they should remove the "mine" out of the craft it sucks tbh

i can totally relate to this, i often fall into the trap of buying games faster that i can play them

“We haven’t found diamonds in hours, turn the lights on!”
“Oh nevermind, it’s just lapis.”
4:08 lovin the spongebob references lololol
wooo early to a late night pies video less goo, also i personally feel like grinding is a chore sometimes
Good talk, i too feel that
So true especially nowadays but if you are facing the nostalgia problem like me thn we should focus on present experiences rather than comparing it negatively with our fun past.
gl on grinding sir -random guy after teaching a noob
When anyone tells me "just grong for a while" I leave
This is very relatable I grind alot in wildcraft like leveling up all the usable animals, collecting all 99,999 coins (max coins) for finding all the items and getting all the acceivements
In one world of minecraft I didn't actualy mine for ores, instead I was litteraly just trying to get cobblestone for my massive castle. Oh and I needed coal to smelt it into stone.
Love your videos man
Can u do a Vampireknight review?
The HSB example was legendary
The never ending wheel of progress will continue to turn forever.
When we have kids be like "have you gathered 5 stacks of wood get!"
Dude your so underrated!
In Minecraft, my trick is building specifically with cobblestone and andesite, diorite and granite, and if I'm going for a deepslate build, then I incorporate a lot of Netherbricks.
That way, I'm grinding for the cobblestone and deepslate, and oh just so happen to find diamonds and iron.
that bo3 clip hit too close to home, i got the brass knuckles 5 times and the baseball bat 3 times
You just gotta play/do what makes you happy when it comes to gaming
Personally i love the grind
2:37 man really tried making a axe and a pickaxe at the same time
Strip mining is my favourite part of minecraft
6:17 I actually quite rather play different games rather than playing 1 game for the day, I get bored of things pretty quick as I sometimes just start to "not feel like the mood" like for example I will play Stardew Valley and then 1-2 hours later I'd play some horror games lmao
I have only just realised that so many videos on CZcams are literally just like writing those persuasive texts in English class and reading it out loud
Why have I never noticed this before
1:37 wow that was some intense gameplay
and this is why minecraft updated caves
I relate to this alot
As a person who likes to complete games through achievements, grinding feels that it's part of the process sometimes. I like the games where when getting achievements gives you more than just an achievement such as a new mode or secret endings.
0:10 haha p#$n game go brrrrrr... Oh wait that sounds wrong nevermind NEVERMIND!
Been feeling the same way recently
4:47 LOOOOOOL so accurate since i'm a college student now
Search chests in risky reels brings back pain
Oh my god LateNightPies used a PurpleRodri screenshot for HG/SS my nostalgia hit hard as hell
it’s basically no pain = no gain in good games
bad games are any pain = almost never any gain
This guy knows exactly how I feel. One time I was playing a game and I thought “what’s the point of playing anymore? Even if I complete my goal what after? There’s nothing” luckily I don’t have that thought often but when I do it ruins the fun of a game
Hey LNP, about the stripmining comment here is what I do to break the boredom:
I establish a main mining outpost with chests and furnaces (maybe even a smelter array with carts and stuff) and then I use the two sides, left and right, for 3x3 tunnels
Then I put my actual strip mine tunnels all 3 blocks apart for max efficiency and only go 5 torches in after every tenth block
That way you dont actually have to just keep going over and over, can take a break every now and then and it becomes less of a chore
The hypixel skyblock part…. ALL OF US HATE IT ITS SO TERRIBLY ANNOYING TO GRIND BUT WE ARE ALL ADDICTED FOR NO REASONNN
I like how the fork looks a spoon
The biggest game I’ve felt this with is ARK. Everything is grinding and it just turns into a job when you are up keeping your Dino’s and bases.
Official servers are like taht one flintstones meme where flintstone runs towards a black hole then try at the last second to escape but eventually falls in
Editing is just like this but it can get rewarding fast that’s why it’s fun
It's also hard when you only have 45 minutes to get as far as you can in a game while in school
You think it's hard now?
Wait until you are an adult with a full-time job. :(
