AWESOME ROCK STARS!!! Glad they became Night Ranger over just Ranger it fits them well. They are one of a kind. Have seen them many times in concert and THEY ALWAYS ROCK! Thank you for sharing some memories & many smiles...
One of the greatest Classic Rock bands in the world. Would somebody please put the studio version of this up for me/????? Best song writers, best guitarists, best singers, best performers. I'll never forget the day I first heard Don't Tell Me You Love Me. Nothing like it ever before or after.
They are greater than Van Halen or Def Leppard IMO. Despite that fact it's exactly DL holding the best rock ballad I've ever heard (Bring It On A Heartbreak).
to me this is a tour de force performance! This song is a hidden gem off their 1st album and got no radio air play, yet it ROCKED! Great Live Band too...still are! Hard to say that about alot of other 70s 80s bands...keep Rockin Ranger!
Gillis friggin shreds in his solo at the end. He's not all sound and whammy effects. You gotta know how to impress if you win the gig with Ozzie to replace Randy Rhoads
ha ha ha. Been looking for this for YEARS. Recorded this on cassette during the live tv show back in 83. Most bad ass. Lost that cassete, always thought it was Don Kirshners rock concert, but wrongo. Thank god for the internet, I was looking for the wrong show all these years. This was off their very forst live tv appearence on NIGHT RANGER - ROCK`N ROLL TONITE 1983 LIVE AT ROCK`N ROLL TONITE TV SHOW / USA 1983 FIRST LIVE PERFORMANCE ON TV !!!! Lucky I found that info on a euro site of all places, Love this particular rendition with both a drum and guitar solo, and surprised by the quality of a 30 plus year old vid. AWESOME.
Had the experience to witness them live like 35 years ago , and the sound was so good and loud they literally loosened up the acoustic ceiling in the theater , everyone thought it was like some kind of special effect but no , we had foam and rubber all over us , it was epic 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💥💥💥💥💥
BIG FAN of these guys in their early days! Jack & Kelly had a perfect symetry. Just like people who take their coffee black....just straight-up Rock, please. You only have to overlook the candy Kane pants & permed hair. Still better than most so-called rock in 30+ yrs.
Kelly Keagy is the coolest drummer and an incredible song writer/singer! He's a down-to-earth guy I just happened to install a cable internet modem for home when he lived in MPLS after their 80's heydays. He was quite concerned about "NAPSTER" and P2P file sharing of his "GOLD" record songs he had hanging on his wall! He gave me a CD of something he had recently recorded, I need to try to find that in my piles of shit. Somehow I get a feeling, I will get to talk to him again at one of Night Ranger's future shows before we both die. This happened a long time ago and only now do I realize how crazy and blessed a life we both have lived!
I saw Night Ranger on Wednesday and when they did this during the drum solo they all were banging on the drums so we got a five man drum solo it was pretty cool
Not sure how they ever got used to Kelly set up on stage left vs being front & center behind them, but obviously it works - hence the sound wall center stage behind them.
ericou812 what??? That's silly. Jack was the singer for Yankees. Brad don't sing lead as far as I know. You mean Brad could've replaced Nugent? Yes, that's what you meant. Lol
Still think this is the coolest song on the album.
Excellent!!!
Always my fave
I saw Night Ranger perform last month…they’re still great.
Man it’s a got a real drive to it fr
Best concert I ever went to. Sang all the songs. Parents brought their kids. They were dancing in the aisles. So much fun.
great band and underrated.

I;ve seen them playing in the day, so they can be day rangers too.

Camille Davis Russo what I love about this song from the studio is the way the drums build up the speed and volume in the fast middle part.
A great American band for sure.

I know I saw this on TV when it was first aired at least 30yrs ago I was 14!!! Saw Damn Yankees in concert later when I was about 20
I had forgot how good these guys could play!! dam them guitars talk!!!!
I remember watching this tv show! Kelly Keagy is a killer drummer!
+DrummerMan1966 this a great under-rated band
DrummerMan1966 one of the best drummer singers ever in my book

I saw them the first time in 1983 with Zebra at the Fine Arts Center - San Juan, PR… great show as always!
Damn lucky. What a show!
Rock & Roll tonight..memories
Yeah this was a cold-blooded set back in the day and they didn't even show Jeff Watson's solo but this was a great group
very underrated
Kelly Keegan's drum solo kicked ass

Oh, MAN - I remember seeing this on the original telecast...! I've always liked these guys. Never had a chance to see them in concert, though.. :-(

🖤AWESOME🖤
@2:00 "And nowww, it's time to let our drummer have a little fun. Hit it, Kelly!"

What year/show is this from. 1982-3? Was this with Quiet Riot? Pretty sure this is the night I became a life-long fan.
the organ player looks like he has on hospital scrub shirt on
He does. I think he was inspired by Dr Fink of The Revolution, Prince's band.
