Assuming all these on Ali are fake, but the price is pretty low on them, so if you consider the price is for a 2000mah 10A, it seems like an educated purchase option. Current price is about AUD$2.65 each inc shipping (qty 10 rate) from Ali, while a genuine Sony VTC5 2600mah here comes to AUD$9 each for the same 10 qty rate (after adding shipping). VTC5 2100mah appear discontinued but would have been aud$6.80. I guess the other difference is how long they will last. You get what you pay for, until you don't.
I think most batteries sold on eBay/AlieExpress/Alibaba and all other similar sites are fake capacity. To get your money back don't these sites make you ship them back to China seller? That return shipping cost would cost more than it's worth, if you're in USA.... So you lose the money ...

i ordered a couple “sony” vtc6 batteries from ali express out of curiosity more than anything! i don’t have high hopes!!! anyone ever find true high drain 18650’s on ali express?

i dont think these are fake, these seem like cells pulled from used packs, especially considering you mentioned the "3 metal tabs" which are likely to be the spot weld joints

Yes this Aliexpress Guy plays stupid, he tells me they are testing each battery and it is high quality, he doesn't seems to understand anything, any way Avoid his store
They don't state they are original Sony's. They are "new original" VTC6, which doesn't mean they are made by Sony. These days anyone with a factory and staff can make a VTC6 or any other type if they wish. This is how they get you with "clever" wording. If they stated this is made by Sony or brand sony it would be a fake. This is more than likely just a copy with worse performance, sometimes they are B grades.

Not trying to be an @ssh0le, but those seller *never ever* states that these batteries
are *ORIGINAL SONY* batteries. The only say that they are original VTC6 batteries.
*As VTC6 is just a model number, they can be made by **_ANY_** manufacturer.*
