So I meet one of my competitors :) I began scrapping about 4 years ago here in London, Ont, and it has been an adventure and very gratifying to see less items going into the dump yards. I have been watching your vids since I stareted and thank you for sharing with us. Just wanted to say hi and wish you the best in our shared interests.
Thank you very much!! Happy scrapping to you as well.
I don’t think I have ever seen anyone use the claw as much as you do. What ever works.🐎🌻✌️
Great video!!! It was very thorough and informative. Take care and keep the videos coming.
Great video TinManScrapper ♻🌎😎👍
Great video
Heck yeah love your videos man first time watcher just subscribed!
I see a lot of scrapping channels but Yours and Bigstackd are my top 2.
My goodness, that is a huge compliment. Thank you and glad you enjoy it
@@TinManScrapper learned a lot about better scrapping. Thank you this is what CZcams is great for!
Another informative video... Keep them coming Tin Man!
Great video Sir, I'm just curious, do you have any suggestions on how to make a wire stripper or ideas on simple ways of getting the copper out of its coating? I hope you do because I can't afford to buy one {preferably Motorized One} but I might be able to purchase parts to build one, any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. Eugene.
Thanks 🤘🏻
At 7:40 compressor not transformer…sorry
On extension cords should i take off the outer coating. That thick plastic.
It depends on the extension chord. I feel that if the chord is very flimsy than less copper and a lot of thicker coating. I leave those alone. If I tried to bend the chord and it is stiff, than more copper inside, so those ones I do remove the outer coating and upgrade to 60% appliance wire.
Ive seen some breathe the fumes from a smoking compressor while being cut , is that fine
It is just the burning oil. I would not do it for a long period of time. But I would make sure that I had a well ventilated area I was working in
nice jop Tin man
Thank you.
You mentioned vinegar and water to remove the grease in the copper tubing. I was unable to find that link.
I will add it to the description right now
Just added it now
Got $2,90 a pound yesterday for rads
Nice. With the end pieces of copper on or off?
How do you get the gases out before breaking down
Thankfully have a buddy in the business that can safely flush. Most HVAC are licensed and can flush.
@@TinManScrapper does it cost for me wise ?
@@edwinsmith1774 yea it will cost you money so I'd say if your going to take kind of stuff same as A/C units and fridges and freezers I'd save them up and have a bunch done at once they might give you you a flat rate on quantity! ♻😎👍
If everyone scrapped their own old shit, the world would be in MUCH better shape. Plus think of all that copper sitting in landfills, instead of my basement workshop
You forgot the brass in the plug ...lol
Lol, yup. Happy holiday
How much does it cost to remove the freon
I think it depends on who you go to, location, and amount of items. I luckily have a friend that does it for me for a case of beer here and there.
Don't even worry about that just put it inside fridges and the scrap yards take it. They have their own ways of disposing everything that goes to the scrap yard.
What category is copper that looks red
#2 copper since there is a type of coating to make it red.
I don’t think you can upgrade the copper pipes to number 1 because it’s coated in refrigerant, same idea if it was coated in oil.
I soak them in my vinegar solution and then throw with copper tubing. I have never been downgraded.
That's not a transformer, it's a compressor. 7:45
so are the radiator lil copper eelbow macoroni thingss u cut off #1 OR 2 U LEDGIT SAID PUT IN 1 OR 2 LOL SO WHICH IS IT
both. The ones on the side without the soddering are #1 and the ones with the soddering are #2

I see that you don’t read your messages
I try to get to them all. It may take a little time, since I have 2 little kids.
@@jamesfirth1280 sorry i didn’t mean to sound rude, i understand
@@jamesfirth1280 i sent you a message on your last video the one of the T.V’s with my email in it
I cant tell you how much i cant stand your channel. I wish i knew a way to block you. Ive been scrapping longer than you have walked this earth. And i really want you to block me so we can part in peace. Or you can choose to not block me and i will continue to tell you how much i can't stand your channel. Choice is yours.
Sorry you feel this way, but it is your choice to watch or not watch my channel. I don’t know why you think you have to make a comment like this, but If you have been scrapping longer than I have walked the earth than surely you have gained the wisdom to know you simply don’t have to watch!
Isn't there copper tube running thru the sheet tin
Yes, you have to cut off the tin to get at the copper.
@@TinManScrapper thanks for reply I just watched another one of your videos showing best way. Been out in barn all week taking some window ac units apart. Next is some 42' old school tvs with the bell I think you call it. Great info as always. Enjoy your day from Kentucky
@@shawntyler863 thank you. Make sure you check the degaussing chord around the chord to see if it too is copper. The black cable that is coating with electric tape. Some are aluminum and some awesome #2 copper
