Mr Kipchoege is nonpareil in distance running in general and marathoning in particular. Congratulations to him for an outstanding performance, and thank you for posting.

Even though i watched him live, i still find tears running down my cheeks when I watch him breaking his own world record. Truly inspiring. 'No man is limited' as he always say. A story of a legend.

EK is a legend man. He was basically averaging about 2.50min/km for 42km. This is supreme.

It is a testament to Kipchoge's greatness and high expectations placed on him that although he is breaking the world record, there is disappointment that he does not just run and lower his (previous) record by over 99 seconds to achieve sanctioned/legit sub 2.00. We are getting closer every day to somebody going under 2.00, inspired in no small way by Kipchoge

If anyone is capable of running a sub 2 hours, EK is the only one

We are not getting closer by the day. Only two athletes have ever gone sub 2:02. Bekele is cooked and Kipchoge has other goals now. No one else is remotely close.

You are on your way to breaking world record, way ahead of the field, but still commentator asks "how many more marathons does this man have?".
