A new Express LRS radio that can fit in your pocket? Not so sure about it, but let’s see what exactly Radiomaster Pocket is and does it fit in my pocket?

I like it. I always carry a small day pack to the office and now I can throw one of these in with a quad to be able to fly on lunch or whenever the opportunity arises.
I like it but will stick with my Tango II because I use 99% Crossfire anyways and it seems pretty solid!
Good video, Pavel. I liked that it was upbeat, and that instead of saying "it sucks", you said "it's good if you are the right person for it", and explained what kind of person that might be, even if it's not you personally. Your production quality is also looking good. 👍

really wished it was big enough to have the ag01 mini gimbals tho. Really wanted to get a smaller controller and was planning to make a custom case for a t-lite with ag01 mini gimbals. I was literally imagining it looking like this.
Easily detachable gimble sticks! Who ever asks for that?? Lol

I always use dual buttons to arm drones or airplanes. So a xkmbination of the arming button AND one second of the push button and throttle at minimal.
I'm impressed. That switch problem you described is real so certainly could get "exciting" if you used it for arming. I'm one of the few who got a Jumper T18 when it was a toss-up between that and the Radiomaster TX16 and I'm not disappointed. I've been very unwell a lot since I bought it and haven't been able to do much flying as I would like. Note to other Patrons: If you get prostate cancer, research your options very carefully. Radiation therapy is NOT a pleasant option to surgery. Radiation sickness blaagh.
I'm sorry to hear that :( My dad recovered a few years ago from prostate cancer. Not super smoothly but on a longer run it was fine. he had both radiation and surgery

great video! it's clearly they also did marketing well, because so many bloggers wrote about it. I'm wondering how does it comprase to jumper t-20 which looks also small, but also has 1000mw ERLS. It would be great if you consider to make video with comparison with different small radios.
Unfortunately, Jumper decided not to send me anything after I was honest with their T18 a few years ago

today mine shipped an the SA and SD buttons trigger even when i touch them a little more. I Dont have to press them down which makes it dangerous. Is that normal?

No. The gimbals on the Pocket are smaller than the AG01 Mini / Zorro gimbals.
Can it run yaapu or inav telemetry scrips? Seems like the little screen might not let it be used with scripts.
It runs standard EdgeTX, so yes it can use the scripts

Jakiś czas temu przypomniałem sobie moje hobby z dzieciństwa (modelarstwo) i postanowiłem, że do tego wrócę, a że w międzyczasie z zupełnie innych powodów kupiłem mini frezarkę cnc oraz drukarkę 3d, postanowiłem wznieść to na wyższy poziom i zacząć robić modele / drony z pianki XPS. Trochę czytałem, oglądałem (Twój kanał także), wiem, że są uniwersalne kontrolery lotu takie jak Ardupilot np., ale zastanawia mnie jakie radio kupić na początek, żeby było dobre na przyszłość, a żeby nie rozbić banku? Czasami dostaję jakieś powiadomienia z banggood (nawet dzisiaj mi przyszedł newsletter z propozycją Radiomaster TX16 i Jumper T15 - ten pierwszy nawet w promocji kosztuje sporo, ale do zniesienia, ten drugi ma rozsądniejszą cenę) i zastanawia mnie co byś mógł polecić, żeby nie musieć np. za rok kupować nowego kontrolera. Dodam, że mam w planie budowanie nie tylko samolotów czy latadeł, ale myślałem też nad innymi pojazdami. Może mógłbyś zrobić (lub zrobiłeś?) film o radiach, które polecasz?

but I guess my eyes will struggle with the small display sooner or later.
Lot of points to like, but at the end a radio at a price point where you can spend the money easily and easier cause if it doesn't fit it is easy to flip without much too loose.
Has this been the last size missing in the world of RC ?
Radiomaster has developed from a 1 radio only vendor in January 2020 when I had ordered my first TX16S from them, before the pandemic and maybe it was december, a presale version.
It took ages to be shipped and it arrived after first lock down, month later I had paid.
But what an impressive radio eco system they had developed. There was only one product I did not like at all, the textile bag for the TX16S foam was a big crap in my opinion, designed without passion for over 20€ . When it arrived I thought it looked like nothing and has never been used since, so disappointing.
FINALLY: this might be the first indicator for a turning point pricewise
Chinese brands will not cut the prices on the old, introduced radios but they will undercut the predecessors with the newer models. Obviously this is just another build from different components of models from the past with some new pieces like the small display. I bet they will release more with lower prices. Look what is going on in the FC market since speedbee released the F405 Wing FC for about 37€ - I mean that is all I paid at their checkout and included EU vat and shipping , while ali express prices were still above 55€ last April.
Yes, just 18€ who cares, but on the other side +50% more for nothing, if you could get it from the manufacturer for cheap. I had finally tried it that way cause I thought I had to pay at arrival what ever fee, but no, no further fees at all and so I had been really happy. I guess radiomaster will offer the same which I would prefer over ali express orders.

Hello Mr Spychalski! Can i flash Inav onto a F405 Wing that has currently ardupilot on it? Ardu is too complicated for me, i want inav back, but it does not flash. Is it even possible? I dont want to buy another FC. Many thanks in advance.
Yes of course you can flash INAV on top of Ardupilot

attractive radio for the price. but I like real switches rather than buttons. and I wont see lights on the radio with goggles on. too bad its only 250mw. I want 1000

To be honest, glossy is better than "rubber" coated as this coating tends to get sticky

Really another review 🤔🤔. There are like 15 reviews on this radio. How many more radios do we need in the hobby🥱🥱.
Market itself will decide if we need another radio. And the number is as it is because there ware very precise media embargo that just have been lifted
@@FPVUniversity Figures they only allow reviews to be posted today. Anyways I personally feel their best radios are the Boxer and TX16s.
Well, today was the release date for the radio... Would you really expect *any* firm to allow reviewers to release information on a new product before the manufacturer? And as many radios as there are different user groups and a market for. This is a excellent entry level and travel radio... and could be a replacement for that crappy radio that comes with cheap models.
@@pfeerick meh….travel radio. Perhaps for some. I think the Boxer is the better option for that and every day use. But at 65 dollars for the ELRS version yeah perhaps it’s a good option for some. Yeah RadioMaster literally gave these radios to every YT channel for fpv for review.
@@IanF-FPV Not really, it takes up too much suitcase/carry bag space. 🤪 I've actually had this for several weeks now, and it's great for simulator and indoor quads... Much better than the cheapie transmitter that comes with them. Plus it has the range to compete with all the other radios.
