  • Here is how to fix your Nissan 350Z Bose Subwoofer permanently!
    If your Bose subwoofer cutting out, don't go buying expensive replacement parts, it can be fixed permanently with a £2.50 component available on eBay/Amazon, a soldering iron (I picked one up from Amazon for £7) and an hour of your time! A really easy and satisfying fix.
    Part number of relay to search & buy: MCCMA51-S-DC12V-C
    Here's what we are replacing: i.imgur.com/fH7...
    And these are the pins we need to de-solder / resolder: imgur.com/9u5Dbaq
    Soldering is really easy, anyone can do it. If you're not sure, check out some videos on CZcams - It's a skill which'll continue to save you lots of money!

    Terrific got me going again, thanks. If you're watching from Australia, Jaycar has a matching relay, part number SY4066, 12v 10A SPDT relay, fits right in, but to the alternate solder points (the larger pin spacing)

    Thanks for the video. I repaired the amp on my 2003 350z today using these instructions, and my sub works beautifully now.

    There’s actually another amp in the left rear of the car. It’s for all the rest of the speakers. The amp that you pulled it is solely for the sub only. The other amp is about the size of the sub woffer it self. I know that because I have done some research and my grandfather owns a 350z that was optioned with the Bose

    Hey Mine was cutting out. I pulled the Sub amp and checked the relay and all PCB soldier points. I did not find any issues so just cleaned everything up reinstalled and it all seems to be working fine. It's possible a connection was loose (likely on the molex connector) on the subwoofer itself. Best of luck. Easy to work on..

    Where did you get your auxiliary input? All the ones on Amazon I've seen specifically say they don't work with the 6 disk bose.

    getting to the sub amp and removing it is easy and could have been left out. The main part I needed to see, you didn't show. Did you repair the relay? Did you replace it? You really didn't even show the removal of the relay or putting in a new one or fixing the old one. Oh, background music, while you are talking, isn't helpful either. Sorry, this video wasn't really helpful. Keep trying though. thanks.

    is my sub or amp bad? it sounds halfway decent but if i play bass heavy music basically at max it distorts pretty bad on the sub. I do have an aftermarket pioneer double din though so it could just be gained too high?

      @ockerdan Před 9 měsíci

      sorry to reply to an old question but if someone else reads this, you cannot run speaker output from an aftermarket head unit with a built in amp directly into the existing wires, since those wires feed into the bose amp, and not the speakers directly.
      If your head unit has line outs, use those. If not, you need to buy a Line Output Converter first and use that to reduce the speaker output from the head unit back down to signal output levels.

      @@ockerdanThanks for the info! I still have the car actually. I plan on upgrading headunit in the near future so I’ll make sure I get one with line outs.

    Sensible solution uninstall the garbage Bose system and install a quality stereo system .
    $50,000 vehicle with a piss poor radio .

      @CP-kb1du Před 7 lety

      I have a 350Z purchased new, vehicle came with a Bose system, 3 of the 4the speakers blew, the tweeters the same and the head unit is not suited for a chevette pure garage when it worked it jumped , and skipped and stopped.
      Yes I actually heard owned a Bose system , used to drive without music, just listening to the engine notes.

    • @CP-kb1du
      @CP-kb1du Před 7 lety

      Little man why are you so concerned about all of this, are you being paid by Bose? The system is trash not worthy being installed in any vehicle . The system is factory and it was total garbage .

    • @CP-kb1du
      @CP-kb1du Před 7 lety
