Most youtubers push using candles to see their programs. Most profitable traders doesn't even use candle.... they ride a strong trend to profit.

I've done it....only because currencies move to slow. The money is in indices and futures.. I never did prop firms. I have my own money to trade.
I solely left trading forex is because to me trading currencies is just to slow and the money comes in slower.
When I switch to indices I hit the jackpot.

Tori, in case you didn't noticed, all major FX pairs trade in Futures as well as the Spot Forex market, so if you switch to Futures you don't really need to give up on Forex

I swapped from Forex to Futures back in 2018. It was mostly due to leverage limitations in Forex as a US Citizen.
The implied volatility of Forex market is in the lows, prior to the FED and ECB moves with the rates. Then...the market will catch fire again. Personally i trade both, S&P, Nikkei and forex.

I’ve recently moved from trading stocks to futures specifically NQ, there’s a lot of good reasons. Futures are taxed in the U.S. as long term capital gains and not short term. No PDT rule in futures. Now I only trade one Ticker instead of running through a stock scanner to find my trade. Finding a decent broker with good commissions and a nice platform was hurdle through.

60% of your profits are capital gains status. The remaining 40% is regular state income tax
The leverage is great, options on futures can be insanely profitable as well if u know what ur doing mostly because it’s even more leveraged
It’s the brokerage side & also I wasn’t really informed on futures till about a month ago but I’m sure glad I transitioned.
I found futures because of you!🙏🏼 I have 4-5yrs trading Forex and forsure the price is not that accurate depending on the broker plus the spreads..

Definitely Tori, we Ultimately just gravitate towards what is more reliable & safer to trade. For me, the only reason I would transition into Futures is because of their reliability and because you made them popular, that's for me.

While some think traders are leaving one instrument for another , she’s saying leaving the ocean for the land . Futures is NOT an instrument , It’s a field .. forex is an ocean…No lines or referee’s just a lot of liquidity and sunken accounts.
Forex “gurus” are coming to futures so they can make their actual money from promoting prop firms since all the forex once’s are getting shut down most people don’t have money to trade with so they promote the prop firms and courses..

US 🇺🇸 Futures Tax Benefit :
Profits are taxed at (2) levels.
= 60% capital gains bracket
= 40% regular state tax bracket.
FYI
- Most traders don’t qualify.
-some states have varying rates.
-some states don’t have any state income tax
-some traders can create an LLC and qualify.
-Check the current “Capital Gains Tax Rates”
• May 1 2024 Rates
- If income is more than $47k-$518k you’re paying ONLY 15% rate.
-if income is $518k++ you’re 20%.
- Trader must first sign up and qualify for Trader Status with IRS forms.
- or open a LLC and register trading as your primary business

Forex Brokers that use the MT4/MT5 platform are no longer opening trade accounts for US residents. US residents are rapidly being blacklisted with those brokers.... .

Futures taxed at a 60/40 long term/short term even if you scalp daily & everything you mentioned. Forex prop is the wild wild west right now.
Most prop firms in the US have faced sanctions and many a people have lost money. Besides, I find futures have more trendlines than forex. Period.

Nowadays a newbie is blessed with all futures contracts in micro to learn real time real money etc.
20 years ago micros did not exist. so we had to get to learning the hard way. Also, all these funded programs did not exist either.

In New Zealand, not many platforms catered for futures ,now some brokers are starting to make it more accessible ,this may also be a reason (in my part of the world anyway)

I’d say atleast 2k
Most US brokers will require $500 minimum to open acct. now, i would say $5000 and start with micros. Futures is not for the faint of heart
