The Shape of Voice (A silent Voice) is one of the greatest redemption films of all time, animated or live action. It is a 10/10 and everyone who has ever wanted to have a peak into the world of depression, suicide and bullying should watch this movie. I have read on forums that this film actually caused people to seek help instead of doing things that can't be undone.
This made me look up the anime, and when I saw it was only a two hour movie I watched it on the spot. So good. Thank you so much. "A silent voice" if anyone was wondering the title.

I met someone online and I fell in love when I thought I couldn't fall again. She soon had to cut off and end things, because of her own reasons, but I think she sensed something was wrong because I had my own reasons too and if it had not been her, it might have been me eventually. She's one of those people I will always love. We watched a silent voice together for my birthday and then I want to eat your pancreas. I'm learning another love on the piano and I want to make an edit of these two movies over a recording of the piano. I don't know if I'll ever show her with a message of appreciation, but even if I don't show her, I want to make it for myself, in her honour

Im really quite surprised that theres so much people who havent watched or even heard of this anime. Im glad for those whove now found it, hopefully u continue to recommend it to others new and old in the anime world. Imo its one of the best animes and definitely top 5 anime movies. Those new to the anime scene or even anime movies. Or if your just into something simular to "The Silent voice" i recommend "Josee, the Tiger and the Fish" not as impactful in certain regards. But still an amazing watch. Anime movie came out in 2020 but theres also a live action that came in 2003 if youd be into that. Watch on friends.

I remember the first time i watched this... Mix emotion of depression, happiness, sadness and anger at the end such a beautiful underrated, i gotta respect them for making this, plus the another anime they made, "to your eternity" it brings me to such a despair that i started liking thanos... If i can only meet the writer and the whole team behind those masterpiece i would hug them
I just watched the film like not even 30 minutes ago and I had to come rewatch this. It hits so much harder once you've actually watched it, holy crap.
most of the time my sadness gets turned in extreme anger and with that anger I exhaust my body by doing a impossible work-out until I collapse, but sometimes it just isn't that simple and then it turns into a headache because I got to sad and angry at the same time

this movie kinda reminds me of how i was myself. tbh i used to what you would consider a bully. I was fucked up when i was younger. then a little something called 7th grade happen. You would see me not talk as much as i did and i was much more depress then every. Well i was already what you considered depress but during spring break there was a major difference between how i acted and how i was. Before you would most likely see me be a asshole but then after spring break it went from being a asshole to someone who was quite as fuck. I went from someone who just fought 2 people to the one who was bullied because of how i acted. I started to gain new friends and the old ones i had left me because i wasn't the same person i used to be. I still was insanely strong and i did do boxing before but because of what happened i had to go out of state and also go attended a funeral and because of just how mentally unstable i was i stopped doing boxing and focused on getting my life in order first. Next thing was school. I was already doing the minimum effort but now you would see me not wanting to anything not even the things i used enjoy. This also caused a lot of other mental things like PTSD and also you can't forget the fact that now i wanted to commit more than ever. The new friends i gained were always trying to help me and i would also help them sometimes. Now my old friends who still are assholes even now were still mocking me for changing so much and this and that but i didn't really care at the time. Now around 8th grade at the start of 8th grade they start to bully my friends and now im pissed but i didn't really do anything at the time. Around 4 months into the school year there making fun of all of us and its almost unbearable but i still put my face up and also now my grades are a bit better than before. 6 months into school its annoying and at some point they go as far as being physical. Now im pissed and i challenge them. I started to work out again and at this time i was taking taekwondo. They dont know this and they started to mock me at the fact that i challenge them. But still im deadass and i said "fine lets meet up at our old spot and ill beat your ass there" also the "old spot" is behiind the school at the tennis place because no one is usually there. 3 o clock comes around and they finally show up with something called snacks. not even 8 minutes later all of there ass's are beaten and by one person. my friends are also there wonder what tf have i gone through to beat all of them. Also this was one of the first time seeing me in short sleeves because if i usually wore a hoodie to hide my skin or just some comfortable long sleeves. i like short sleeves more but i did do a little something call self harm using things i had like bamboo in which most of my arms and back was filled with marks that to this day you can still see. Because of this i was also what you would consider a tank. Also i was always stronger and better than them. The marks that my friends saw made them want to know just wtf was i doing to myself but all i said was i won while showing a smile. one of the first time i smiled after the death of her. After that they never dared even come close to me or even talk me or any of my friends. Now ofc they were still assholes even after that so i just "adopted them" like 4 more times and gave them a ass whooping. now they stooped bulling but they still are ass holes just behind the scene. Im still depress even if i dont show it and i still have mental breakdowns. Some things are just not your fault but only some things. That is what i learned. Those new to the anime scene or even anime movies. Or if your just into something simular to "The Silent voice" i recommend "Josee, the Tiger and the Fish" not as impactful in certain regards. But still an amazing watch. Anime movie came out in 2020 but theres also a live action that came in 2003 if youd be into that. Watch on friends.

this movie kinda reminds me of how i was myself. tbh i used to what you would consider a bully. I was fucked up when i was younger. then a little something called 7th grade happen. You would see me not talk as much as i did and i was much more depress then every. Well i was already what you considered depress but during spring break there was a major difference between how i acted and how i was. Before you would most likely see me be a asshole but then after spring break it went from being a asshole to someone who was quite as fuck. I went from someone who just fought 2 people to the one who was bullied because of how i acted. I started to gain new friends and the old ones i had left me because i wasn't the same person i used to be. I still was insanely strong and i did do boxing before but because of what happened i had to go out of state and also go attended a funeral and because of just how mentally unstable i was i stopped doing boxing and focused on getting my life in order first. Next thing was school. I was already doing the minimum effort but now you would see me not wanting to anything not even the things i used enjoy. This also caused a lot of other mental things like PTSD and also you can't forget the fact that now i wanted to commit more than ever. The new friends i gained were always trying to help me and i would also help them sometimes. Now my old friends who still are assholes even now were still mocking me for changing so much and this and that but i didn't really care at the time. Now around 8th grade at the start of 8th grade they start to bully my friends and now im pissed but i didn't really do anything at the time. Around 4 months into the school year there making fun of all of us and its almost unbearable but i still put my face up and also now my grades are a bit better than before. 6 months into school its annoying and at some point they go as far as being physical. Now im pissed and i challenge them. I started to work out again and at this time i was taking taekwondo. They dont know this and they started to mock me at the fact that i challenge them. But still im deadass and i said "fine lets meet up at our old spot and ill beat your ass there" also the "old spot" is behiind the school at the tennis place because no one is usually there. 3 o clock comes around and they finally show up with something called snacks. not even 8 minutes later all of there ass's are beaten and by one person. my friends are also there wonder what tf have i gone through to beat all of them. Also this was one of the first time seeing me in short sleeves because if i usually wore a hoodie to hide my skin or just some comfortable long sleeves. i like short sleeves more but i did do a little something call self harm using things i had like bamboo in which most of my arms and back was filled with marks that to this day you can still see. Because of this i was also what you would consider a tank. Also i was always stronger and better than them. The marks that my friends saw made them want to know just wtf was i doing to myself but all i said was i won while showing a smile. one of the first time i smiled after the death of her. After that they never dared even come close to me or even talk me or any of my friends. Now ofc they were still assholes even after that so i just "adopted them" like 4 more times and gave them a ass whooping. now they stooped bulling but they still are ass holes just behind the scene. Im still depress even if i dont show it and i still have mental breakdowns. Some things are just not your fault but only some things. That is what i learned. If you read the whole thing then i thank you.
