What's the Treatment for Hiatal Hernia?

- Hiatal Hernia Syndrome Treatment involves identifying the root cause underlying why your gut became imbalanced.
It's not just the fact that you suffer with GERD (reflux) or bloating, gas, constipation, etc., but why.
It's not just that you suffer with heart palpitations, shortness of breath, panic attacks, etc., but why.
To get to the reason why involves an in-depth analysis of your gut health including the presence of any food sensitivities, infections, toxins, malabsorption and more. Only then can the appropriate treatment begin to truly resolve the problem. Our treatment is natural - drug-free and surgery-free.
Additionally if you've been suffering with anxiety and related panic attacks or depression we evaluate hormonal health and balance that as well.

interesting and great video, just been diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia ( in the last month ) have spend the last 3 years getting heart palpation's often when i lean forward or twist badly,( sat at a lap top can often set it off) trouble swallowing, shortness of breath and light headiness but I hardly get any reflux, tho i can have some days where the symptoms just disappear, trying to get my doctor to take it seriously over here in the UK as been a struggle and it has become very tiring. next stop for me is to try to play about with my diet as often within 1 hour of eating the symptoms can come on, bread looks like it can make things a whole lot worst, shame we don't have clinics like yours hear in the UK
Mine is 6cm- profused sweating - abdominal pain , cant bend - bowel issues, brain fog, chest pains, Bp spiralling out of control, not been in work for 6 months feel utterly exhausted ... why won't these docs in the uk operate unless your life is on the line ....
that sound awful, mine is nowhere near as bad as yours, surprised they wont operate give its massive effect on you quality of life @@skyechambers1968
Some foods can give you symptoms after several hours after consuming. I would say even days
wow as long as that @@sandrodiva6920

Thank you for the great clarification,
Your videos are great but the title says how to treat it not how to diagnose it.

I have a mild hiatal hernia and just got diagnosed with sibo.
I can't believe I have never been told about this before. I have been struggling with symptoms for 3 years. Severe symptoms. Been rushed to A and E at hospital several times with an elevated heart rate and chest pain. I was told they could find nothing wrong. They then said it was all in my head. So, I've been looking for solutions to work it out. I knew it was coming from the gut . I've said to the "Dr's many times. So thank you for the information. I can trace the process of my illness from start to finish and I now know how it happened. 💯 ❤
You need to start doing certain exercises and most of your symptoms will go away as long as you are doing them daily. check Critical Bench Zach Hiatal Hernia Videos

Hello... do you have website or ebook for your hiatal.hernia treatment? 😭
I have a large hiatal hernia. For a long time - I take 1/2 tsp baking soda whenever I feel the acid reflux. I know it’s a short term fix. But is that ok compared to PPIs?
I’m thrilled to have found your work and will be exploring in much more depth. Thankyou.
My pleasure. Baking soda is 100% better than a PPI, which has many dangerous side effects. I have some videos on the topic of PPIs if you want to get some more data. But even better would be to resolve why your stomach is spasmed. Is you stomach above your diaphragm by much or just a large hiatal hernia? If you stomach isn't substantially above your diaphragm we could offer some help.
@@DrVikkiPetersen from an earlier scan apparently the hernia is intrathoracic stomach which I have been told means most of my stomach is in my diaphragm. I just had an endoscopy and the hernia is 5 cm. Waiting on some biopsy results. I am hopeful I can avoid surgery still.
I have more recently discovered I have SIBO, leaky gut and high inflammation. And a lot of food sensitivities. So am working on all that very diligently.
Hey, @@santafejazzy how are you now?
Please help, i have 3cm hiatal hernia, beem to er 3 times in 2 months, all the pills you can think about, and if i go to er again they will probably do surgery. Can someome help me asap, I'm losimg so much hope.
I had serious heartburn and hh. I stopped eating carbs and sugar, did intermittent fasting and my issues were resolved. My sleep apnea was also resolved and many other issues.
Same here. Doing much better!
How you replaced carb like bread etc?
@ksk701 I don't eat carbs nor bread. Just vegetable , meat , fat and a little fruit. I know it seems strange but when you are accustomed to the diet it's like normal. I definitely will not eat carbs or sugar again.
@ksk701 I used to be a bread freak. Couldn't get enough of it. Now I just don't eat it. I may have some real quality seed loaf without gluten, but I don't feel the need for bread.
COVID wrecks my hiatal hernia every single time. Can it improve with a change in diet? COVID inflammation makes it so much worse... Months after COVID infection my body chills out and all the symptoms seem to vanish
Hi Dr. Petersen,
diagnosed with HH 30+ yrs ago... no treatment offered... 3 years ago put on PPI. After 1 yr went off and did over the counter as needed. Gained 30+ lbs and acid reflex turned into Gerd and Barretts Esophagus. Dr. says PPI for rest of my life. Want to get off PPIs ASAP. Changed my eating and losing weight. Dr. says no treatment for HH or BE other than PPI. Any hope for me? Thank you!
There is absolutely hope for you. I'm glad you asked. Consider calling us for a consultation: 727-335-0400. We'd be delighted to help.
Intermittent fasting and keto stopped my severe shortness of breath. There is hope.

If you have been tested for acid reflux does this mean you have hiatal hernia? Do they both go hand in hand? Or can you have acid reflux without having hiatal hernia?
You can have acid reflux without a hiatal hernia in the early days, but as it progresses the sheer pressure of the stomach on the diaphragm is likely to lead to a hiatal hernia of some sort.
My question is how can i fix an overgrown rolling hernia causing shortness of breath and severe anxiety
Go keto and intermittent fasting.
I feeling great now!
I was having mega shortness of breath before.
Ive heard copper deficiency cause hiatal hernia. What are your thoughts?
I have not seen data to support that. Do you have any references?

Have a very small sliding hiatle hernia. Have sore throat, bad breath. But the constipation is the worst part. Doing everything my doc says, he does not think the hernia is the cause but I do. No I dont want surgery,, as I already have a pralyzed vocal chord.

My son is in the hospital right from vomiting. He was diagnosed with Hiatal Hernia 3 years ago. For the first couple of years we spend most of the time in the hospital. It slowed down to every 6 months. When he have an episode he’s back in the hospital. The doctors do not know how to treat him. He on psychiatric medication for saying he want to kill himself because he can’t live like this. He’s not getting little treatment for his vomiting problem. What can I do????😢

My husband has a hernia sticking out so far it looks like he has an alien in him.
So I'm guessing that there is a protocol here, and it costs a lot.
Is there a treatment protocol ???

We checked the sound on our end and it seems fine. Perhaps check your volume? Sorry you're having issues.
That's a "band-aid", not a root cause solution. I wouldn't recommend it.
