To avoid the confusion of such a huge time differences India has taken the time along the meridian 82°30' E passes through the Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh) as the standard time for the Entire Country Thats why The watched shows the same time .

hw answer-The longitudinal gap between Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat is about 30°. Due to this, there is time lag of about two hours between these states. Since Arunachal Pradesh is in the east, the sun rises earlier here compared to Gujarat. As we have only one time zone, the Indian Standard Time is taken from the time of Standard Meridian of India and hence, the watches show the same time in both the states.
The time difference between any two longitudes is 4 minutes. The longitudinal difference between Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh is 30. Hence there is a time lag of 2 hours as one moves from Gujarat to Arunachal Pradesh. To avoid the confusion which could have been created due to following of different local times, the Indian Standard Time has been fixed at 82 degree 30 minutes east. Because it is the central meridian of the country, to bring uniform time for the whole country and any meridian to be a standard meridian it should be divisible by 15 or 7 and half in case of India it is divisible by 7 and half
As there is a difference of 30° between Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh there is a time difference of 2 hours there will be inconvinience so IST is there to avoid that inconvinence Hence they show the same time
