I've seen cops being investigated for involuntary manslaughter and still get time off with pay. Their punishment is paid vacation time.
(The cops hit a very young woman with his car then laughed about it on camera that all they did was cash a check for like a few k, that's all she's worth) I think she was a foreigner visiting or something.
They didn't get in trouble for murdering someone though, they only got in trouble because they were caught laughing about it afterwards.

Another idea I had was when there is a lawsuit instead of we the people paying it off, take the money equally from every officer on the force to pay the suit. Think they might start watching each other to make sure their weekly paycheck doesn't get hit.

Cops could care less about settlements - they don't have to pay them, taxpayers do.
Plus they get that free paid vacation (aka paid administrative leave) as a 'consequence'. The more they violate, the more paid vacation they get!

I went to look after reading this, definitely some weird facial tick going on but his pupils are totally normal for night time. You have to look carefully cause at a glance it looks like his pupils take up the whole eye but at the right angle you can see they are totally normal
It's not a nervous facial tick, he just needs to trim his mustache. He's "chewing" his mustache because it's overhanging his top lip too far. I do the same when my mustache is too long.

They passed a law in Indiana. Where you can't record, film within 25 ft. They pushed it as safety/privacy of minors. I bet it will get overturned as a 1st amendment violation.

6:25 A cop cannot specify that a person be in a certain location, ie behind an ice machine without legally detaining them. Their authority is limited to stating that you can't be in their immediate work area. This was an illegal detainment and illegal arrest.

From my experience, the payoffs or settlement amount does not come the taxpayers, it comes from the agents indemnity insurance. All public officials must carry indemnity insurance or forfeit their office. Too many more settlements, guess what happens? Their premiums go sky high, or maybe loose their insurance all together! That is the power of the People making a difference, one policy at a time.
Who pays the insurance bills? Who pays for that indemnity clause? Where do police departments or any governmental agency get their budget from? How is that not taxpayers money putting the bill? I'll wait......

They could definitely do more to help out We The People.
But they rather help out Law Enforcement and make their lives easier.
Lichen States were Qualified Immunity no longer applies, they could pass laws that state the Police must be held personally responsible, like We The People would be.

Just a couple of weeks ago the US District Court for the Northern District of Indiana upheld a 2023 statute enabling police to enforce a 25’ buffer zone upon demand. Legacy media is among those kicking back, but so far as I know it’s been upheld in every initial challenge.
This one’s on it’s way to the 7th Circuit at the least.
In the Arizona case they couldn't come up with an objective reason for the 8 foot distance. What is Indiana objective reason for 25 feet?

I Indiana now has a law that says you have to be 25 ft away from the cops.
