  • Icy conditions and a lack of talent mean many bank excursions.

Thanks for the in car video. Gives us volunteers some idea of what you get to do up on the hill. (in the spin, 2 feet in.)

Because you guys have been to O’Neill a couple times, do you learn anything from the time before and use it for the next time. Just I think having corse knowledge on a rally would be such a big advantage. I remember asking if you guys made your own pace notes and you said you get given them, but do you ignore some of them if you think you know what the corse is like. Do to hear a right 3 but treat it as a 4 because you know the track and are more confident in your judgment. Also do you keep track of your car set up from last year and make changes accordingly or do you prefer to keep a consistent car and just change driving style. Anyway great video and I hope you guys stay safe and enjoy

It's definitely an excellent tool for car setup and driver improvement. With stage rally, unlike a racetrack, you have very little feedback of what your driving behaviors or car setup are actually doing to affect your stage times- as you rarely drive the same road twice. Being able to have a consistent course to learn on and say, "This is what a R3 feels like at 40, 50, and 60", or "This is the grip difference a newer tire gives me on Corner X" has contributed massively to our improvements as a team over the last two years. I like to change one variable at a time- be it driver behavior or car setup- and approach it very scientifically!

Awesome video, I wanted to ask how the Samosa suspension is holding up and have you had then serviced yet? Also what's the best way to get in touch with a dealer in the US? I'm in Southern California but did you go through FerComp Samsonas in North Carolina for ordering?

Hey Erik, they're holding up fairly well. One damper is in need of a rebuild right now after ~6 stage events. I'd definitely recommend disassembly and check every 2 events or so if using for stage use. And yep, Paul at FerComp North Carolina is the US distributor!
