So i haven't played the game so I don't know for sure, but I think that you use the clock to see the number 8? The clock looks see-through so maybe its like a filter
The clock in the ladies room is also broken to kind of hint you towards going back to get it
It`s weird how you never used the see through clock…and that in the ladies room there was a broken wall clock….and that the wall clock is also red as you mentioned….hmmmm
