How do you download a music to the files

Wow, I'm surprised.. this video was actually helpful.. I couldn't get some files and data from my iPhone to computer, but simply selecting the files and "Save to files" as shown around 04:26 and selecting iCloud worked! Then I easily downloaded from iCloud to my computer.

I touch to download the files, it blinks and nothing. I have the iZip app, and the files that I’ve “downloaded “ are no where to a be found. They aren’t in the Files folder on my iPad… Any Ideas?

@@not_albert373 Well, I have been working from home because of the whole Covid thing. I recorded a video on my iPhone that I needed to upload to a desktop computer so I could edit it. In the office it wouldn't be a problem because I have a iMac there. But at home I have a PC. I was having a hell of a time trying to get the iPhone to connect to the PC. It just wasn't working. That's where the massive headache was building up.
Then I learned about the "files" app on the iPhone, and researched and found this video on youtube. Then I learned how to upload the recorded video to files. And then accessed my icloud account through the web browser on my PC. Finally was able to download the video in full quality to the PC.

Daniel, or anyone else out there, please please tell me how to move music from my music app on my iPhone to the Files app on iPhone. This was not covered in this video and I seem unable to do it.
I don’t think it will let you - especially if you bought them from the music site - they put DRM on them - also, the iPad and iPhone have very low storage capacity!

I still have a question about the iCloud Drive. Are the files in iCloud Drive also still local on the phone and uses iCloud to sync across all devices or are the files on iCloud and not local? That is when you access a file in the iCloud if downloads a remote copy and then copy’s it temporarily?

Besides an android file app. Is very good it lets you copy paste plus allows you to put video or audio or photo etc on smartphones 1st page while Apple iOS can’t even think of doing improve like an android OS
