Also, the Kingdom of the Wicked series gets pretty spicy. The first book feels like you're reading YA but book 2 and 3 read very adult.

You should definitely read Chloe Gong's first duology... it's one of my favorite reads from this year... and the main character of Foul Lady Fortune (Rosalind) plays a huge role in the previous duology... even if you don't read it first. I would still recommend it :)
the light we lost is one of my favourite books! i broke down crying towards the end...hope you enjoy the rollercoaster as much as i did!
Definitely, definitely read these violent delights/ our violent ends before!! It's an amazing read but the little connections that you see from flf make so much more sense if you read the first duology!!

OMG kingdom of the wicked is sooooo good!!! That was the book that reignited my love for reading! Just finished the last book. Super fun! The last book has quite a lot of spice, but still worth it!!!
Kingdom of the wicked is really good and there isn’t much spice in the first book but in gradually increases throughout the series

I bought The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels (and the second book in the series) last week! I haven't started them yet, but I'm really excited to read them; they look like they're gonna be whimical and silly, and just fun. Kinda gave me Princess Bride vibes, which is my all time favourite book (and movie hahah). I think the authour is from NZ, so that could be part of why it's not talked about online a lot.
A book I just finished that I really loved was Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.
From Lukov with Love was the first Mariana Zapata book for me so it has a special place in my heart. It was also a 5 star read like All Rhodes Lead Here was.
I think you're going to LOVE the to all the boys I've loved series- it is such a comfort book series for me! I recommend reading it during autumn! 💕 ps you're making me want to order new books now even though I have a bunch of book packages in my office that I'm saving for a book unboxing video!

Two of my favorite Books are Spin The Dawn and Unravel The Dusk By Elizabeth Lim. I'm waiting for my copy of Foul Lady Fortune I pre-ordered the Barnes & Noble editions but they got damaged so they have to get new additions made

I think you might get a major spoiler for the ending of the These Violent Delights duet from Foul Lady Fortune. I haven't read it yet but I have gotten a spoiler for the ending of Our Violent Ends and I feel like that might be mentioned in Foul Lady Fortune
The Morbids, is definitely General Fiction; and weirdly enough "The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels" is SciFi/Fantasy (this is at least according to cataloguing at the bookstore where I work!!!)

The first kingdom of the wicked books is done is definitely young adult. The second one is definitely more towards adult readers because it gets a little spicy in the third one is definitely a true adult read because it gets very spicy and there are lotta sections that I skipped because of explicit content.

i read the lady scoundrels book a couple of months ago and it was quite good! i didn’t rate it a 5 stars only because i just couldn’t get myself truly into it and that world. and i also realised the last name on the back “bassingwaite” is actually spelt wrong because her last name is spelt “bassingthwaite” in the book ??? weird and obvious typo unfortunately
Based on what I've gathered from your reading taste I'm not sure that you will love Kingdom of the Wicked but I do think you would enjoy her other series Stalking Jack the Ripper. And if you love assassin books you should check out the his fair assassin trilogy (Grave Mercy, Dark Triumph, and Mortal Heart) and the courting darkness duology (Courting Dlarkness and Igniting Dlarkness) by Robin LaFevers.

The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels is such a hilarious, engaging book, but I will warn you that there is a good amount of spice in it, some of it being quite graphic (I had to skip over a few sections).

The normal price for a book in Australia is $30??? Wow, in the UK the full price for a book is around £8 - 12. The exchange rate must be very different.
It’s not the ‘normal’ price. Amazon books are SO expensive. We can get them for like $12 at best, we have shops called Kmart and Big W that have absolute bargain prices of books

Do not read Foul Lady Forture first if you want to read These Violent Delights. I have read These Violent Delights (loved it btw) but not the sequel yet and I recently read the first few chapters of foul Lady Forture and it literally spoiled me the ending of the second book of These Violent Delights, which I’m really angry about… so please just read These Violent Delights and Our Violent Ends first, before starting Foul Lady Fortune

If it's cheaper on Amazon than from an actual bookstore I don't blame her. If bookstores are truly worried about staying open they should lower their prices.
@@Becksnnc places like amazon/big w can charge cheaper prices because they are actually underselling the book in hopes that you'll purchase other things from their stores. bookstores obviously are for books, and don't have that luxury when giving authors fare cuts of sales
Girl move to England if you think $6 is cheap…the average book there is £5, and that wouldn’t even be considered cheap, just the regular price in a supermarket 😂
