Thanks for watching! - Jak na to + styl
Thanks - 69yo woman who was taught cooking and sewing instead of nuts and bolts and woodwork at school. Glad we have progressed and thanks to you for explaining the washers - basic but necessary.
That is awesome!
I’m a 64 year old kid that found this informative. Always learning…too bad I didn’t know this earlier.
I’m a 35yo man, and you just taught me for the first time. Been using them my whole life not knowing
Thank you for the education on these different types of washers!!
“Don’t know anybody like that!”
I chuckled 😊
Wow you are really enthusiastic about washers. Very helpful! Thanks. I am reassembling an espresso machine
Thanks a ton dude you rock i just got an r1 and im becoming a dad so i need to learn some basics we weren't taught by our dads or at school :))
I feel you on that
Very clear. Thanks!
“Get not respect” I learned this the hard way,, after I lost them during assemble, then thought: what difference would it make? Things become loose and falling 😅
Thanks for the knowledge sharing. Be well ✌️
This is awesome.
I try to keep a good mix of washers on hand, but usually still have to go back to the hardware store
because I either didn't have enough or had a surprise repair job.
Great video
Thanks...I am bolting wood on a greenhouse in the wind so this is helpful.
Thank you. Never knew.
another somewhat common but less noticed washer are vibration dampening washers, aka rubber washers, you'll commonly find them around motors or for transport, like on a brand new washing machine, it will have rubber washers with flat washers on top.
I have an old electric chainsaw
The tension bar was missing a screw to keep it taught in the gear. Do I need an additional washer ( which may have been lost and if so where would I place it
Under bar or atop bar for more tension
If you need to learn about washers, ask a bolt!
no doubt!
What washer is used on an input jack of back of speaker cabinet?
Great vid!
What are you guys recommend for keeping a rear view mirror stable adj wise? Motorcycle
Thank you. It may depend on the material of the mirror. Might try a lock washer.
What indications should you look for in a crush washer that it may need replacing?
The most obvious answer is: is there any leak? e.g. the crush washer around the oil pan drain plug / bolt.
Flat Washers - these can increase the Clamping Force. A Flat Washer should be used under a Nut so that the nut does not bind on the assembly it is holding together, that is, hold the Bolt Head stationary and turn/tighten the nut, the nut will rub against the washer as it turns and not mark the assembly.
Do you need a nut to secure further? I have a Thule bike rack with bolt and lock washer but no nut . Is this ok? I tried Thule site but no help. The bike rack is second hand.
yep, still need a hex nut
I noticed you washer hands and under your fingernails really well before making a video where they would be the stars of the show… well done my friend. Got my like and sub 😂 (you see what I did there 👆👆👆)
Kids today know how to edit out the false start at the beginning of the video. Otherwise good, informative video.
Didn’t show the external lock washer in use.
Washer? I hardly know her! 😂
I think if you seriously wanted to spread washer love, it's better to tell us more when to use it other than machinery. Or demonstrate how big of a difference it is with and without washer.
I basically found some washer when decluttering. Thinking of throwing it out cuz it doesn't seems like I'll be using it.
Please remove auto translation; youtube translated washers as ... washing machines ...
I’m always so interested by what different regions call split lock washers because I’ve actually heard so many different names. I’ve always just called them lock washers
