To those who want to "abolish" police....this is life without them. Good luck to those good people wanting to take their block back.
If they refuse to help, why have them?
Why dont you do your civil duty and form or join a local militia and take your city back instead of leaving your job as a citizen to somebody else? You dont need the police. Its actually stated in the law. The police is a public organization formed by the city and the civilians. This is what happens when people like you bitch and complain and do not do what your constitution states and protect your community from enemies foreign and domestic. You are the problem here.
The Bones OK let’s go do our investigation and try to catch the serial killers. I just need to stop at the gas station first and grab a vitamin water and fill the tank. @@darkspectro2948 You REALLY think guns, tasers, armor, vehicles, dogs, mace, batons, radios, riot gear, etc. means UNDER equipped? No, police are OVER equipped. Their scope is far too excessive. They need to only go after bad guys, not "criminals" per se because by definition any law broken makes you a criminal but there are dumb jaw walking/ loitering laws that are mundane. Point being, literally 80% of all police interactions are for misdemeanors yet by definition have people with guns that are responding. Police also have a safer job on average than a delivery guy by FBI's own statistics. I could go on and on about this if you'd like, but it's interesting regarding the perception of law enforcement vs. what the actual statistics show.
I'll go even further, how many time have you seen 3+ vehicles respond to the same scene where nobody actually gets arrested? How many officers responded for George Floyd over a supposed fake bill. I mean, really? Law enforcement is a glorified pansy scheme relative to what it really should be.

who was a good example of what a police officer should strive to be .He helped countless people and mentored many teens in trouble and a few of them became cops because of Mr. Dorn .
He didn't have to go out to defend his friend's business . He could have just stayed at home and just let it happen but he chose to be a decent person and do what's right despite the risk to himself because he had morals. Had it been a white person who killed him ,this story would have been front and center on CNN so they could keep sewing division in our society in order to get more viewership and ratings $$$.

Ian G you realize that if we cut local funding, things like firefighters and pensions also go out the window right? Not ALL our local tax goes to police. The SECOND things go south it’s “I can’t believe I called 911 18 times and they said they can’t help me”. You know what you do? Grab a gun and do a couple jump and jacks and some push ups. Also, another part of their salary comes from tickets they give out and court fines they appear in. If you look at it realistically, by staying home, they’re actually losing money. Police officers salaries are bundled up in one big budget that is divided amongst a couple things. It all depends on the location and police department situation.

This was ABSOLUTELY brought upon by all these protests and riots to “defund police”, the mistreatment police has gone through in the meantime and the FACT that cops have been actually doing their jobs and being put in jail and being charged for it. Police don't handle potential violent crimes in Democrat cities anymore as it may require deadly force. They made it really tough to go into colored neighborhoods as it's been made clear it's a hostile environment.

I built it in 2002 (Springer Softail) and put over 150K miles on it...much of which were in GA, TN, N.C., up the Blue Ridge Parkway, and occasional trips to Arkansas (my home state)

Yeah, this isn't even new, police in Atlanta don't do their jobs even when they aren't calling in sick. I don't know why the media is reporting on it now, makes it look like its the mayor's fault for calling out said protection racket.
A protection racket would be for example I tell you I'll protect you for a price, but if you don't accept or don't pay I attack you. This is far different. This is like hiring a group of bodyguards, but everytime they protect you they get punished. Then you start making them fight to the death in the Coliseum so you can gain popularity with the mobs, but after many have died and/or been permanently injured they decide to quit. They just walk away.
