As a carryon traveler, I always allow for mini liquor bottles in my liquid case. Shot of tequila > than shampoo.
TSA does allow for 3.4oz of alcohol to be in a carry on but check with your carrier. Some do not allow it on board😊

Wow! Absolutely first-class dining. I am so inspired. I fly Coast-to-Coast about once a month for the last year-and-a-half, usually JetBlue. I just got a generic hotlogic Mini. It paid for itself on one one way trip since I'm not buying airport food. Since my departure and destinations are always Regional airports, I have 13 hour days on average with two layovers about 4 hours each, so that's two meals each way. Next time I fly on JetBlue, I have been tempted to bring the ingredients for rent classes signature cocktail and cook for myself food off the mint class menu. You have already outdone that. Presentation is so the key to fine dining and you have hit it out of the ballpark. My strategy, I have cloth napkins to use as a tray table tablecloth and a little Electric tea light, which I have seen used in first class by airlines elsewhere on CZcams. I would love to see what you would do in flight with the hot logic. Making your own hot towel service is now an option.

Really good ideas! My daughter and I are gluten sensitive and pack our own food for flights. I never thought of doing these kinds of meals in bento boxes, going to have to get some for next time!

I saw this video and immediately ordered that adorable Bento box with the bamboo lid. I put it to work on a plane three days later. It was so handy on our trip, sealed up great, very compact! I packed yummy appetizers to go with a split of Prosecco on the trip over Including cured, smoked salmon and little rice crackers. Then we used it in the hotel room to store leftovers from dinner that we could eat for lunch the next day. Thank you. I’ll never pack food the same way for airplane trips again!

If you've never tried cooking bacon in the oven, you should try it out. That's my favorite method. I tried the air fryer too but wasn't as happy with it as regular oven baking.

Yeah, I think because they were made out of bamboo and not metal. We were OK with that.. we did get some looks from people around us and the flight attendants thought it was an awesome idea🙏😊❤️

The easiest way to fill the mini hot sauce bottle is to pour out some hotsauce, then turn the mini bottle into the hot sauce and squeeze in the sauce. I hopebit made sense

Looks like a great breakfast! A suggestion on your hot sauce would be to pour the equivalent amount in a small fruit bowl, then take your little squeeze bottle, press out the air and hold it until you position it upside down in the bowl. It will suck up the hot sauce.

Well, as of this, posting the airlines, do not prohibit you from bringing your own food onto the plane. However, you know how things could change these days. The only restriction is if you’re bringing something like a liquid it still has to Be 3.4 ounces or less and that includes the container not being able to carry more than 3.4 ounces. For example if you have a 6 ounce bottle but you only have 3.4 ounces of liquid in it, they will take it but that being said food is definitely something you are allowed to bring through TSA and on the plane with you. since most airlines do not have a food service any longer. This is a great way to make your flight a little nicer especially if you’re going for several hours.😊💕

I love bento boxes as much as the next person but I am lucky to get myself to the airport let alone prepare something like this to take along.
I fly a lot and I learned during the pandemic that I can survive a 3-4 hour flight with a cookie and a little bottle of water. There's enough restaurants and snacks at major airports if you're absolutely starving. I love airport sushi and $14 sub sandwiches 🥪. You're definitely going above and beyond.

I was so happy that I have these bento boxes for myself and my father, so that when we checked into the hotel to fly out the next day we had food, even though everything else was closed.🙏😊

I agree. If you want to eat certain foods, it’s nobody’s business but yours. You do a stellar job and I have been learning so much. I’ve started collecting and putting together a small crossbody, away from town purse that adds to the small crossbody stuff, editing my car emergency bag and putting things aside for my personal and carryon bags. Also I am taking copious notes and thinking about a kitchen in a bag (2 bags). Love your presentations.

I'm a Type 2 diabetic and need very low carb meals. I often bring snack bars, but I might reconsider bringing a bento box next flight.
BTW, to get liquids in those tiny bottles, I put the liquid/ sauce in a bowl and then squeeze the air out of the little bottle so it sucks up the maximum amount of liquid into itself. Basically, the reverse of what you do to put the sauce on your food/ drink!

I usually fill up my tea bottle on the plane and the flight stewards are more than happy to fill it up and my glass tea bottle holds 19oz. So pretty big size and they fill it up to the top.🥰👍
Yes, as long as they’re using bottled water it safe to refill. Just ask them if they are using bottled water in the heating system.😊🙏

I was at a friend's house cooking for a group of ladies coming over, she had a frozen apple pie that needed warmed up, but the oven was full. We popped the pie into her air frier...best pie I have ever had.

Ask at your local pharmacy for a plastic syringe. Farm supply stores with a veterinary section also carry them. Makes filling small containers so much easier.

Just came across your channel and loving it. This video of bento boxes is so perfect. Brilliant using the silicone cups in the airfryer, just genius. The idea of prepacking your meal for the airlines can also be used when you have a long day out. I also am focusing on low carb and especially low sugar. Yes and even liquid as long as it’s under 3.5 ounces and in something that they can see they usually let it go through and if you have TSA pre-check you don’t even need to take anything out.😊

You could put a salad with some high protein, chickpeas, or edamame in that, and then just bring a little bit of lemon juice and olive oil in those little tiny containers, and make yourself a salad, or even just sauté some veggies and maybe put in some rice and make yourself a nice Asian meal. So many variations that you could do for these boxes! Maybe I’ll try to make one next time that’s completely vegan!😊

Yes, you’re allowed to bring food but not liquids. 😊❤️ I use the tiny muffin tin size.😊
I am new to the channel and so glad I found you on my feed. I love the way you make traveling so much more comfortable and actually rewarding with your tips and tricks. I’m amazed at your creativity! Also as a hint, I too do low carb and high protein for other medical reasons and I found that egg white are great for protein and only 17 cals per egg. So I use a 1 to 1 and it helps. 😁 Best of luck on your lifestyle changes and I know you got this!!!

By the way, egg whites and egg yolks are close in protein and actually egg yolks carry more protein than egg whites gram for gram but also egg yolks carry the fat and all of the other micro nutrients that are so good for you that egg whites don’t carry so we tend to eat the whole egg. Also research is starting to show that cholesterol issues are not caused by eating cholesterol as much as by eating carbohydrates and sugars, which damage the lining of the veins and arteries, which cholesterol, tries to fix and heal.❤️🙏😊

Instead of liquid hot sauce perhaps grind a few red pepper flakes
I could do that, but there’s certain flavor and hot sauce like vinegar that just makes things a little bit better for me😋 but I do keep all those little packets, a red hot peppers that you get from Pizza because my boyfriend loves out on his food😊🙏❤️
Do you have a video about how you set up that container garden? I am seeing some hoses that look like they irrigate it for you. Would love to see a run through of how you set that up. We are starting from scratch. Many thanks :)
I don’t specifically have a video on how I set up the water system in that container garden but I do have a couple of videos, showing how I set up watering systems for other things and it’s exactly the same. Although to be honest with you, I would probably change how I’m watering. My container garden and put in soaker hoses.😊
The best way to fill bento bottles is to put a small amount of liquid in a shalow cup, squeeze the bottle, put the mouth of it under the surface of the liquid and release. The bottle will suck the liquids right up, no mess!
So I did try that and it does suck up some but it doesn’t fill up the bottle and it leaves some left into the dish. So my newest way is to use an injector and fill them😊 ❤️
Oh I loved your Bento boxes so fun! Just love being able to eat well anywhere with a little imagination and planning.
Oh and I just love Diaso so much I have those little condiment bottles too and near them or maybe it is in the beauty and health isle there are pipettes
oops I did not finish... the pipettes makes it easy to take liquid out of the big bottle and slip it into the smaller bottle with out to much mess.
I use it for soy sauces, vinegars, all sorts and even for my perfumes into small spray bottles for in my toiletry bags... If they don't have the pipettes at the moment they also carry a syringe with a wider diameter that would make the transfer easier too, however the plastic pipette is great!
Your Bento Box is so nice and functional as well... love that it air tight!
I did not finish my reply... oops... anyway the pipettes help take the liquid out of the bigger bottle and into the little condiment bottle with out much mess, and if they do not have them in stock at the moment they also carry a syringe to do the same thing... They do have the neatest thing there! I just think your Bento boxes are so nice and I love that they are air tight too. It is so nice to be able to eat good food where ever you are with a little imagination and planning. Love it!

You are so cute thinking on details of the lunch. It is nice. The bento is for National flight? Do you know a good chai in individual packages for traveling?
Thank you! This bento was for US domestic flight. When traveling internationally with a Bento box, you want to make sure you either eat it all or throw it out with the garbage, the flight attendants collect because some countries won’t let you bring food in. I haven’t found it individually packaged chai. I do however, have a chai tea bag of some spices that go really well together and make a great cup of chai on the plane and I will be putting that in a video soon.!😊❤️
