Remember to check local laws before messing with any beaver constructions. In most places it is illegal to disturb even abandoned lodges as they can be the future homes of other animals or wandering beavers.
Well up where this video took place beavers run around everywhere. There are so many lodges and beavers no one really cares.

I am in the middle of watching this but I do not understand why anyone would want to destroy a beaver home. They spend so much time building it and I think it's important that they have a home .Maybe I'll feel differently after I finish this.

Don’t worry at all. There were two other places they could live in and they rebuilt that one we destroyed in a week
@@kadenbeistline4046 If they rebuilt it in a week that means it wasn't vacant really. A beaver wouldn't rebuild a lodge that it didn't care about.
@@JesseKreis Yes it does. There are three separate houses on the lake and they only stay in one at a time. But since we destroyed one of them they decided to fix it so they could go back to it later.

I realize that fixing the damage would take a beaver maybe 2-3 days at the most anyway, but here in Canada we don't disturb nature unless there is not other way e.g. a dam causing major road deterioration.
I can understand the curiosity but why don’t you just leave them alone?
