I thought yard grass was safe! I saw many people feeding rabbits that. Also my vet said that rabbits can eat mashed potato (without other things) and my rabbit once grabbed the banana peel from the banana I was eating and ran away with it. Before then, I didn't know that rabbits could not eat it but thank goodness he survived from it! Also I've seen my friend give her rabbit bread :(

Hi Haley! Could you do a video on the complete journey of clicker training, starting from the age where rabbits can begin to eat non - dried fruit as treats? My bunny is not all that happy with her dried apple treats (she's two months and 3 weeks 😍) so I'm hoping that will change as I introduce her to real fruit. Any way, could you give us steps, maybe? Like, how to introduce treats, how to introduce clicker, etc.
Also could you do diy cage inhancers for smaller enclosures? My bun can't free range just yet because she's so tiny but for the time when she's in her cage (i.e. at night) I'd like for her to have puzzels and ramps and stuff. Any suggestions?
ALSO (sorry to keep rambling) could you maybe make a video about introducing cats and bunnies?
Sorry if you've already made some of these vids and I wasted your timeđŸ€ŠđŸŒâ€â™€ïžI tried to check for them all💜

I think oats is okay, i always sprinkle a littbit of oats on my rabbits pellets. Because they are high in fiber and the bunnys loves them. The are also a great treat because the are so small. In sweden many rabbit owners like to sprinkle a littlebit of oats on the pellets especally im the winter when its cold. It gives the rabbits more energy. One of my rabbits is 11 years old and he gets oats on his pellets and he is totally fine. He is actually in reallt good shape for being that old.

    On the topic of seeds:
If the hay contains few seeds and ears/heads, rabbits need additional fats and proteins. A lack of fatty acids can be seen in shaggy coat, dry skin, lip scab and frequent clogging. To add essential fatty acids such as omega-6 fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids, you should occasionally offer sunflower seeds and/or a seed mixture. About 4 sunflower seeds (without shell) per kg of rabbit per week are sufficient to prevent a deficiency. In fresh and dried grassy ears there are usually enough omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. One teaspoon of grass seeds or small seeds per week are useful in case of poor hay quality or in case of a change of coat. The following seeds are suitable for rabbits: grass seeds (comb grass, cane fescue, kneeling grass, rye grass), linseed, chia seeds, fennel seeds, millet, amaranth, dandelion, fenugreek seeds.
Fat food is an important part of any rabbit diet and should not be forgotten, especially when feeding without dehydrated food! Of course only in very small amounts and tailored to your rabbits‘s activity and husbandry. In the Winter month, when the hay may not have that much quality and you can’t collect fresh (field)grass and meadow, then I complement/supplement the diet with seeds.

Where are you getting your information for each of these listed foods? Have you taken an animal nutrition, biochemistry, or physiology course before? Do you know why each of these foods are not safe? Or do you just know that there is "something in them that makes it toxic so yeah don't give it to them". Do you know the digestive anatomy and physiology of a rabbit? Just wondering. Citing your sources would make this video much more credible.

I love her but she says corn husks are not safe cause they're stringy or something like that and that bunnies can not chew them up properly... they're softer that some hays, vets even recommend you to feed them to your bunny in case you run out of hay while you restock your supply, there super rich in fiber and help their teeth

    • @catmommippy2403
      @catmommippy2403 Pƙed 2 lety

yeah corn husks are perfectly safe for rabbits and guinea pigs, how are they gunna choke on corn husks but not timothy hay. also corn husks are a grass and i fed corn husks to my guinea pigs a ton when they are in season, they never had a single issue. I know guinea pigs and rabbits are different, but their teeth and digestive systems work very much the same way. I disagree on this one issue, but do enjoy her content a lot still.

Oh sh*t. I have a beautiful oak tree in my backyard, and my new bunny has been chomping down on the fallen leaves and twigs. I'll make sure I rake everything up before he spends time out there from now on. This was an eye opener. THANK YOU!

    Urban legends:
So there's a urban legend called "Black Rose"
    Here's how it goes:
    (my version)
There were 3 sisters. Veronica, Alice and Clara.
One day Veronica went to a flower shop. She went inside ask the florist: "is there 5 white roses?" the florist said: "oh sorry there's only 4 white ones. Can a black one do?" Veronica said yes took it home, put it in a vase then sleep.
In the morning she was found dead with her body full of stabs.
Next week Alice went to the same flower shop. She asked the florist: "can i have 6 red roses?" the florist said: "oh sorry there is only 4 red roses. Can a black one do?" Alice said sure. went home, put it in a vase and went to sleep, in the morning she was found dead full of stabs.
the youngest sister was sure that the black rose has something to do with the deaths of her deceased sisters.
She went to the flower shop and she asked the florist: "can I have 3 white roses?" the florist said: " oh sorry we have 2 white ones, can a black one do?" she said yes.
She went home got an axe and put the rose in a vase. She stayed awake holding the axe.
And exactly 3:00AM a arm with a knife came out of the rose.
Clara was terrified. But that didn't stop her.
she got the axe, stood up and chopped the arm. The black rose disappeared.
the next day she went to the flower shop and she saw the florist who had her arm chopped off.
    Fin.
    *I was bored ok?*

Any opinions if it ok to give rabbits Timothy Hay that is marketed for horses??? It just easier to buy in bulk much cheaper too and I already have to buy it for my own horses so I was wondering if I could also give it to my bunnies.

Wow! Thank you! I think my bunny is just smart and knows what he shouldn’t eat. A long time ago, I got him a treat that had basically bird seed in the middle. He took it and spit it into his water dish and I never got him anything with bird seed stuff again! Also, I had gotten him yogurt bites, and he took the open bag and tossed it đŸ€Ł But thank you for this video! It just confirms why he didn’t want those!

  • @itsthatonechickagaincallth7843

Thank you for making this. Soooo many rabbit foods have corn, nuts, seeds, and dried peas in them... Also, I was told eggs were a good "supplement" by many people. I never gave them to Bean (my bun) because it never made any sense to me...
Edit: also, I love that many of us are cancelling these super old pet brands that have been feed our pets garbage for decades.

    Hey :D
I just realised that you are litterally raw feeding your rabbits. That makes you my new favorite rabbit-guru. I'm housing two rabbits for a friend and I must say, that I knew enough to keep them alive, but now I know how to keep them very well too ;).
Cats are strickt carnivorus (pardon my spelling, I'm Danish) - completely opposite rabbits, who are strickt herbivorus. I did not know about grains and nuts being so bad, but again: my cats are raw-fed - due to my wish to avoid processed food, substances not sutable for cat - diets. Why would it be any different to my little long-eared friends?
Thank you for sharing your wisdom :)

Hi, just a totally random question: my bunny keeps wanting to go behind my bed, she keeps scratching at where she would enter and I don’t know how to stop her from doing it. I even put pillows ( I don’t have Nic grids), she also tries to go behind the barrier under my desk so she won’t chew my computer charger. She just scratches it [and I have an inflatable bed(by choice)]. I don’t know how to stop her from doing it, I even gave her a dig box. Just pls give ideas
