Even though the outcome was as expected, it’s sad the dream is over for David Mundy. He’s been such a warrior of Fremantle and the game. 37 years old, 19th season, 376 games. Apparently when he debuted in 2005, 13 of the 18 AFL coaches were still playing . Insane 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Congratulations on David Mundy on an excellent career at the dockers. He was an inspiration for the dockers throughout his 19 year career stint at the dockers and hopefully he can have a great life after footy.

Maybe it's biased to say this as a Collingwood supporter, but I don't see you liking another team as a sin. I for one have respect for Richmond. There is nothing wrong with respecting or liking another team. We can still be loyal supporters of our respective teams. Nobody ever said you could only like one team.

What A great game for Freo and Crisp was Excellent as well as de goey, Mihocek and the daicos brothers. Freo had an amazing last quarter but it wasn't enough but at least they made it into the top 8. Hoepfully a good game next week for the Prelims.🎊🎊😃😃🦁🦁

Freo were good in the last quarter but Collingwood really shut up shop and didn't want any injuries
It was a great 1st quarter - for me that was about it. Freo’s last couple of goals were Collingwood taking a breather. Don’t get me wrong, I was barracking for Freo, but it was not a good game for them. For the pies, yes. But not for them.
Biggest 20 point thrashing if I've ever seen one. Collingwood should have been much further ahead.
Collingwood took it easy the last quarter to preserve themselves for next week. They had no problem with Freo scoring a few goals in the last quarter.
Collingwood too good offensively and defensively. They were on another level. Too quick, too tough, they shut Fremantle out of the game.

I was there for Trinations, relaxing in Perth...decided to go to the naval museum then the Docker/St Kilda game....

Sorry I was a day-and-a-half late, but here comes the review.
And now we have the final four. Geelong, Brisbane, Sydney and Collingwood. The Magpies can dream of a first Premiership in twelve years after perhaps the most convincing twenty-point victory in their history. Dominating from the get-go, Collingwood were determined to avenge last week's heartbreaking loss to Geelong and take their frustrations out on Fremantle and put them to the sword early. It was a battle of two teams trying to keep their fairytale stories continuing, but it was the magic of Craig McRae and his Magpies who were too strong for Justin Longmuir and Dockers. Side by side, they stuck together. From seventeenth to a Preliminary Final, not even the most diehard of Collingwood supporters could've seen this coming. They are the first team since the 2011 West Coast to make a Preliminary Final after finishing bottom two the previous year and only the fifth team ever to make a Preliminary Final after finishing bottom four the previous year as well. Can they go all the way and complete the biggest year-to-year turnaround in the history of Australian Rules Football? Only time will tell as always.
As for Fremantle, this was the first time they ever played Collingwood in a Final. Unfortunately for the Dockers, they had two consecutive weeks of goalless opening quarters and this time, there was no coming back from that. This was a sad ending to their fairytale year and the curtain has fallen on 376-game veteran and legend David Mundy, who managed to score a goal in his final game and put on a show many times during his storied career. The Flagmantle dream is officialy over for 2022, but at least they made it to Finalsmantle. Where to now for the Dockers? Decisions must be made for the free agency and trade periods and once again, they have to get everything right. Their trade plans have failed in the past, but they are learning. Will next year be the final year of Nathan Fyfe and Michael Walters? I may be overreacting, but they are in their 30s now, just remember. Will Rory Lobb stay at Fremantle or will he head back east? I wonder what Jordan Clark will be thinking. Adam Cerra's probably spewing that he didn't get to play in Finals this year.

Well at some point we had to have a crap game this finals series i guess
Collingwood are steamrolling. Dominated every aspect of the game (baring intercept marks I guess). Such belief and determination - not unlike the swans. It’ll be a cracker of a game. No clear winner yet. Close match up. Buddy is gonna suck against Moore - the man is in top form. But the bloods managed to halter their flow last time - now they have to do it again.
Buckley’s words post match on “best on ground” were honest but potentially foolish - "never been a concern ... going to the SCG will be something this team will look forward to". Well it better be a concern now because Sydney broke their 11-game winning streak AT the SCG.
But words I’d love to see force fed are courtesy of Nick Riewoldt - what a cricket bat: “… it’s taken the best team by a mile in the competition all year [Geelong] to knock them off (*edit: plus Sydney...*) in a close game (*... who beat them by 27*) and other than that, no one else (*apart from Sydney*) have been able to withstand the tidal wave of Collingwood spirit this year….” (*Except for Sydney who were the mf-ing first to BREAK that tidal wave at its peak!*) With a comment like that I’m kinda glad he never won a premiership. 😂🤦🏻♂ Jokes! Granted, Geelong are on a 14-game winning streak losing only to the Saints (by 10), Dockers (by 3), Hawks (😂by 12), and Sydney being their biggest losing margin of 30 points.

Totally agree! I think the first few comments apart from a select few had opted for the "kind and courteous" response. First quarter had some pace - I scoffed my beer before the 15 min mark. But that was it. My second beer lasted almost 3 quarters. Should've poured it on - would've made watching freo lose horridly a little more entertaining. (Sorry freo fans, I was hoping they'd pull-through).
