    I thought I knew everything going into this video and immediately had my whole world turned upside down.
    I didn't even know parameter modulation existed, so powerful, thanks a ton!

    In regards to (#7) the "stacking" of ReaEQ filters (High Pass in this case), you can use ReaFIR in "EQ" mode to achieve this much quicker, almost eliminating the undesirable frequencies altogether.
    It may not be as dynamic as ReaEQ, but it does save a lot of time from "stacking" a bunch together if you're looking to simply cut a ton from a specific frequency!

      ReaFIR is a plugin I just can't get into using for whatever reason. Don't like using the graph or the latency.
      For really steep filters I usually go with the JS Apple filter which goes up to 72dB per Oct.

      thank you for the suggestion though. I'm going to give it another try

      In those cases latency isn't an issue, in precise mode you can make crazy cool resonant boosts and cuts, narrow bands etc. It's such a fun playground.

    Very cool info. Never knew about the grid or the resize. Also I'm sure there's an action to float UI as that one is always tenuous for me. Looking forward to learning about the scripts. Thanks!

    Interesting creative usages for EQ, but I was looking for tips on general EQ. Specifically for cleaning up a recording from a live event. (In my case, from a seminar, not a music concert.) Do you have a video for that?

    • @TheREAPERBlog
      @TheREAPERBlog  Před 5 lety

      noise reduction would be my first step. not sure I have a video for live events

    • @alantuttphotography
      @alantuttphotography Před 5 lety

      Yes, I understand noise reduction would be the first step. But at some point, EQ is necessary, and what I was asking is if you had a video on the BASICS of EQ with this plugin.

    • @TheREAPERBlog
      @TheREAPERBlog  Před 5 lety +2

      This video from my free mixing course covers the basics of ReaEQ operation in the first 5 min.
      czcams.com/video/5ZNZTkmxr8A/video.html
      It's all about listening, then reacting with the eq. I think the sweeping technique that I show there will help you find parts of the voice that you can improve and have a more pleasing sound. Do lots of before and after comparing so you know you're improving and not going too far.
      If you want to email me a sample of the audio I can give you some starting point settings I would use.
