M3 STUART, Guadalcanal in December 1942. - Part 2 - 1/35 TAMIYA - Tank Model - [ weathering ]

- This time, I purchased a STAR DECALS M3 STUART decal set separately from the kit.
Set as M3 STUART of the 1st Marine Tank Battalion on Guadalcanal Island in December 1942, and proceed with painting and weathering.
A fierce battle fought between the Japanese and Allied Forces over Guadalcanal Island in the Western Pacific.
Until then, the Japanese army, which had been winning consecutive battles, suffered a major defeat.
It is a battle that is positioned as a historical battle that triggered the reversal of offense and defense with the United States.
In the coastline and jungles of Guadalcanal Island, fierce battles that were said to be battlefields of hell were fought day and night.
While imagining such a situation, I applied intense weathering,
Finished the appearance of M3 STUART that was muddy with dust and mud.

I made my own pipe frame for the roof to be used while moving, added it, and hung a camo net on it as a sun protection.

今回はキットとは別にSTAR DECALSのM3 STUART用デカールセットを購入。
1942年12月、ガダルカナル島での第1海兵戦車大隊のM3 STUARTとして設定、塗装とウエザリングを進めます。
西太平洋のガダルカナル島を巡り日本軍と連合軍が繰り広げた激しい戦い。
それまで連戦連勝だった日本陸軍が大敗北を喫し、
アメリカとの攻守が逆転するきっかけとなった歴史的な戦いとして位置付けられている戦闘です。
ガダルカナル島の海岸線やジャングルの中、日夜繰り広げられた地獄の戦場と言われた壮絶な戦い。
そんな状況を想像しながら激しくウエザリングを施し、
埃や泥でグチャグチャに汚れたM3 STUARTの外観を仕上げました。

いつもは2週間おきに動画を投稿していますが、

次回製作し投稿する戦車はTAMIYA 1/35 ナースホルン（夏バージョン）です。
移動中に使用するルーフ用パイプフレームなどを自作し追加、その上にカモネットを掛け日除けとします。

Always looking forward to a new Scale Model Club video ! The Stuart looked fantastic before the intense weathering. After that, just a little too much sand and dirt for my taste. Still a great looking tank, with lots of detail. Those 50 Cal bullet casings were a very nice touch !

Another impressive video. Your videos have become some of my favorites and give me great ideas. Some of your painting I thought was going to turn out terrible during the first few steps. Such a great job I hate to point out one issue. Along with the cartridge cases there should be belt links from the disintegrating link belt.Again great work I just have OCD😆

舗装された道など無い実際の戦地で、土や砂や泥の上を生死をかけてガムシャラに闘い走り回ると激しく汚れるのは当然のことですから、それをリアルに表現するのもウエザリングの一つの醍醐味と言えます。作り手側としては時間を忘れて没頭し楽しめる至福の一時といううわけです。🍺🍺🍺

@@smc-2 I like your model builds and painting so much... I literally realized at the beginning that I like tanks in the mud, that the girl says every time, why is it dirty again?) When there will be a clean tank. This is such a line when it looks so cool and not cartoonish, I looked at your builds of German tanks that I went and repainted my KV-2, also adding a camouflage net with tree branches to it. I can't stop making damaged tanks after the battle, or just in the form for which they were created. It's such an incredible feeling when someone does the same thing and the feeling that you're doing what the other person is doing, and I've learned so much from your videos that I'm just glad I found your channel) This is my 3rd language, so I wrote through a translator just in case)
