Monster In Paradise
All this living is so worth dying for
So come with me
I can make you feel alive
If you are hearing this
You are in paradise
A monster in paradise
It’s just for the score
You are the thing that makes me feel alive
Covered in gasoline
Heat haze obscurity
Glamorous to the bone
Everybody get down
Ghost of the sky
Shut up and fly
Something for the weekend
Stay on the run
Let’s get the damage done
We move something like this
Killing it is easy now
Watch our faith get twisted round
Ghost of the sky
Never say die
Save it for the weekend
Till the blood runs cold
It’s always about the damn girl
A monster in paradise
It’s hell to the core
But all this living is so worth dying for
A dark dissent has begun
Pleasure pain continuum
Beautiful freak just get your foot down tonight
Ghost of the sky
Shut up and fly
Something for the weekend
Stay on the run
Let’s get the damage done
We move something like this
Killing it is easy now
Watch our faith get twisted round
Ghost of the sky
Never say die
Save it for the weekend
Till the blood runs cold
It’s always about the damn girl
It’s better to reign in hell than to serve in heaven
Surrounded now but no surrender
The odds against the betting man
Far beyond but I still believe
Spin the wheel and light the tires
Take me back towards the fire
I’ve never seen as clear as this
We ride tonight to the abyss
Ghost of the sky
Shut up and fly
Something for the weekend
Stay on the run
Let’s get the damage done
We move something like this
Killing it is easy now
Watch our faith get twisted round
Ghost of the sky
Never say die
Save it for the weekend
Till the blood runs cold
It’s always about the damn girl

Petition to make Tim Capello a permanent member of the band, holy shit. What a great song.
Timmy shreds on 5 tracks on Unicorn - he made a massive contribution to the album.
Tim pretty much just appeared and there was no denying. Imagine the fun these guys have had putting all this shit together. It's pure world class. I crave and believe in those who are meant to align with others and create and mould their craft. This new album has been long overdue but what really bugs me is the fact Alex's voice when he goes about his daily life...as an assumption..... would happily slay any song upon his ears and scoop out those hooks. Alex you're a fuckin gun !! Don't ever stop matey !
@@GUNSHIPMUSICFantastic news! Love a good sax, and he elevates every track he has been part of.
@@GUNSHIPMUSIC have you guys considered trying to kidnap him to make him stay for more?
When does the album drop?
Tim Capello is such a good addition to this sound . Nothing beats a good melancholic , howling , 80´s sax. Love this
Haven't seen that guy since Lost Boys. Excellent!
@@Mymloch He was also in the Gunship music video for Dark all Day
Right !!
Got so hyped when he appeared
I HAD NO IDEA
I never get tired of the "and suddenly Tim Capello" moments
He is legend
You saw that too, huh. I had to go back and look it up just to be sure.
This lineup should be permanent.
100% agree
Been thinking same since I found this song. Love the vocal duet stuff especially!
It should, and Wargasm could also continue. I don't know why it is that only in Metal we see musicians as permanent members in multiple bands (think of Portnoy for example). Why shouldn't someone be in 2 bands at the same time if they can make touring work somehow?
First time hearing you guys ... and awesome!
Saxophone man makes his legendary debut again after dark all day, gotta love it
Allow me to add something really important. Saxophone man is none other than legendary Tim Capello!
And it’s something the newest Midnight album desperately needed! Why they did away with the piercing sax I’ll never know, viva Gunship
@@maxknudsen9785 IMO the new Midnight album went in a little bit of a new direction and I thought their choices worked quite well, despite losing some of the sax. Of course I'll never complain about a little more sexy sax but I didn't feel it was lacking from their album.
@@CGjamppl All the more power to you if you can get down with the album, for me it just did away with most of which made the Midnight stand out. The amount of background group vocals, almost like a crowd singing honestly made me think I was listening to a Coldplay or Imagine Dragons album, which for me was just too detached from what I enjoyed most about their music originally.
Tim Capello, is Mr Sax.
My wife and I have been at the hospital since last Wednesday (today is now Tuesday of the week after) where we welcomed our little boy into this world on 2/16/24 and this song was playing in my head over and over while she was getting prepped for a cesarean section. Everything went smooth I am happy to say and our baby boy is as healthy as can be! I will forever remember that day and associate it with this band! Keep on making great music!
congratulations!
Dude this made my day
Congratulations! I have 3 sons and it’s so rewarding…
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Congratulations God Bless
I'm a Metal guy. But you can't deny. GUNSHIP always makes one banger after another. Absolutely terrific masterpieces.
Plenty of rock in this band! 3:53
I'm a metalhead too, I love hard rock, heavy metal, thrash metal, nwobhm. But synthwave is mesmerizing and touches the heart of every sort of genre, even metal. Listen to Phoenix by Scandroid, it is the kind of Synth metal we need now in the modern era and future beyond.
and the fact the dave lombardo is in this song makes it even cooler. Also a metal guy
Same here.
Gunship is a genre apart.
I haven’t been this excited about an album release in a long time.
Same here…
Omg, same
+1
Beyond hyped for this
I havent been excited about an album release EVER, this is amazing
In a world full of churned out, tedious & manufactured pop, Gunship is just the freshest thing around. Thank you
I read that in the voice of the trailer guy.
Хочу. Весь альбом. Скачать😅
Words of wisdom.
I think you mean churned out tedious and manufactured everything. The second part about gunship is spot on.😂
A third? ☯️
The saxophone is truly the king of the wind instruments. When it speaks, you must listen.
Milkie Way's voice is the PERFECT compliment to Gunship.
It seems like whenever you need them, Gunship shows up, guns blazing, laying waste to all your troubles. This track is another classic.
We can't go back to the 80s, but we can bring the 80s to the present. This is a sick track!
It's truly grossgusting!!!!
100%!
And some kind of 2000s too
We can’t go back, yet 😎🤖🕰⬅️⬅️⬅️
Cancelling the '80s was the worst idea ever.
I live for that little "woo" in the chorus.
Me too I don't hear this enough Gary numan does it in the fall and it's the best part of that song and I think it happens so seldom. When it does I think it's usually one of my favorite parts of a song, at least like these examples and this song because it feels real and it's timed well and it sounds good
Woo!
Yeah how cool is he.
Saaaaaaame
Ric Flair approves !
This song is a drug. It's magic to dance to and such a rush to listen to while driving! Gunship is my antidepressant and stimulant. Damn, it's fire
Especially if you're cruising at a 100K on a motorway.
Totally agree.
"we move something like this "
@@blitzcraig26 around Stockholm motorway tunnels... Sweden's longest road tunnel "Södra Länken", it is beautiful, nice color arts etc.
Here, Here!!! 👏
Everything, absolutely everything flows perfectly. The vocals, guitar, sax, synth, drums, this is just an absolute masterpiece. 🥲
Gunship have the best duets. So many great male + female vocal combos on the first two albums, and now this. It's such a great layer to it. More Milkie Way please!
Agreed. So awesome
Absolutely! I would love to see more duets with Milkie Way. This track ticks all the boxes for me. Can’t wait for more :)
Yes! Her voice goes so well with Alex's
@@EvilRobotStevehey
More collabs with Milkie Way please, your voices mix together like crazy good.
Hell I am 68 ,CURRENTLY INTO RETRO , lOVED EVERYTHING FROM POP TO DEATH METAL , PUNK TO OPERA , DOES NOT MATTER AS LONG AS IT IS GOOD ,AND DAMN THIS HAS IT ALL , AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CANNOT TURN IT OFF .................... NEED HELP !!!!
What was that?? Serotonin?? I didnt think my body made that anymore.
One more thing - hope the collabs with Tim Capello keep happening, adding him into the mix just takes everything up a massive notch.
Look out for plenty more Timmy on Unicorn - he absolutely smashes it every time. Total legend and a lovely bloke to boot!
This just made my day!
@@GUNSHIPMUSIC Fantastic news - good luck to all of you with the album, not that you need the luck, clearly - terrific video, great new song, you've made my week. Thanks!
Oh I'm so glad to read this!! That 🎷
@@GUNSHIPMUSIC at this point I am considering Tim Cappello an honorary member of gunship lol. Dude is just so fantastic to see and hear in your music and videos
Hnnnnnng. It is like every of the standout elements from 'Dark All Day', 'When You Grow Up, Your Heart Dies' and 'Tech Noir' have been synthesised into one track.
Talk about taking your strengths and honing them to perfection. I can't stop smiling. Thank you for this. The album hype has just cranked up to 11.
FACTS!
Nailed it to a t. Gunship listen to this comment! Take it seriously.
Pretty much. This is possibly the most Gunship song that ever Gunshipped.
Tech Noir really gets me in the guts. Never change Gunship
They heard you
Jesus, I was born 1982 but have never stopped listening to new music. And despite the obvious retro feels this just sounds novel and absolutely smashes.
Same. Born in 82 as well and grew up with a dad that listened to classical/played violin and a sister that was into slayer, pantera, gnr megadeth with paula abdul and madonna mixed in lol i have an eclectic taste in music. This band is awesome. Need more tim capello
Petition to make Milkie way a permanent member of the band, holy shit. What a great song.
The female voice comes in handy. Petition granted.
Yeah the dynamic she's woken up in the group is magical
This band never disappoints. One day I will see them play live, that is my goal.
I'm not sure if they do any live concerts? Strangely enough, CZcams only has ONE short clip of them playing in person when you type "Gunship live concert". Everything else is a music video or whatever, all pre-made stuff. It's a shame really because they are such a great band. Could be stage fright or it's also possible they are one of those types that are perfectionists and are worried that playing it Live won't be good enough to do their songs justice. Which is understandable because it's very hard to do these types of heavily electronic focused songs Live unless you have great musicians backing you up to emulate the sounds (such as Trent Reznor's NIN band).
I'm really hoping they go on tour to support the album!
In my fantasy they withheld this album thru covid and cancelled the tour they had scheduled, but it's all about to be unleashed and this video is a teaser of a live show, in a way...
The fact that they liked your comment makes me hopeful that they’ll tour one day
Incredible. I would LOVE to see Gunship live one day
At 4:00 did anyone else catch how the lead singer goes “But I Still Believe” right before Tim Capello starts playing? 😂
Gunship isn't a band it's a spiritual movement. They inspire me to be everything I only ever daydreamer of being made real.
I'm so happy Tim Cappello is still rocking it and has found new life in Synthwave. You guys are awesome.
And when the world needed them most, Gunship returned! Super hyped for this album!!
Tim Capello is literally the coolest person in the world!!
I honestly cant comprehend how you guys are not huge right now. I recommend you to all my friends and they all love you
Their independent, so they don’t have a major record label advertising and pushing their stuff
I hope to continue to watch the growing and blowing up because I love sharing gunship with all my friends too and my public playlists on CZcams
I keep recommending them to all my friends and they all like it
because popular music generally SUCKS! haha
I tell about you to all my friends too and you are the main band in my top playlist on CZcams 🤘
I soooo wish GUNSHIP cracks the charts with this! They deserve it!
Simultaneously hitting the Terminator nostalgia vibe, and the futuristic Cyberpunk 2077 vibe. Very clever, and what an absolute banger of a tune. LOVE IT
Ngl im getting original Bubblegum Crisis energy as well
I love how well this band recaptures 80's sexiness.
May Alex Westaway and Milky Way continue singing together for a long time !!!
@@rocketBTW No, she's got own band and is just a visitor.
@@SergeyPRKLshe's better here than she is in her own band.
Milkie needs to be a permanent addition to the band! Would never have thought that Wargasm and Gunship would be a match but this works so well! amazing as always! Oh and please make sure that you tour the new album and Milkie and Tim are present at every show! ❤🔥
I'm happy to be able to be the witness to this historic moment and see the premiere live. As always Gunship and friends delivered and I didn't expect anything less.
Amazing energetic banger. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the album. That's the art I live for.
I LOVE MILKIE WAY'S CLEANS
As a metal head, this band hits the right spots for me somehow, cant get enough of them \m/
Same! their song "Run like Hell" has some nice heavier guitar going on, love it
I'm chuggin' power chords on a 'Marshall' while listening to it rn. The song plays itself and sounds fantastic with heavy guitar or a 5-string bass.
Agreed.
This track is a goddamn juggernaut - what a way to introduce the album. It doesn't just blow the doors off, it blows the doors, walls, roof and foundations away completely and leaves you with a rather nice shrubbery with a nice three level effect and a path running down the middle.
You forgot to mention that it blew our socks off too.
I've honestly lost count of the number of times I've listened to this one.
i've lost count of how many times i've listened to this. ITS SO GOOD.
Im a old death metal head from the 80s and still, this song is pure, absolute gold (ok its Gunship with Lombardo, Milky Way and Tim all togheter in a cyborg club what do you expect ffs). What a fucking banger. The beat, the vocals, the chorus, the sax, the sexyness, this-is-absolute-gold.
I'm right there with you play deicide Legion 1 minute next minute gunship go figure
wait wtf why is ex-Slayer drummer in this? this barely even has drums audible
Pure
Dude, Milkie Way compliments and enhances your guys sound so well, the harmonies are amazing. And Cappello the legend. Instant playlist! 🤘
Both vocals are godsend, agreed
GUNSHIP I love you!
Your music transports me to the future and the past simultaneously.
Nostalgic synths carry me away while entranced in your lyrics and stunning visuals.
Don't ever stop making music!
"There's no fate but what we make for ourselves" ❤
*I've looped this song over fifteen times and this is not gonna stop. Bury me on this song.*
Gunship and ghost would be a awesome tour
As someone who was 18 years old in 1987, this genre of music does a great job of capturing how awesome and high-energy the 80s were!
That's amazing! I'm a 90's kid that wished he grew up in the 80's cause of my dad and passing his music tastes on to me. Synthwave is amazing and still makes me feel nostalgic in a sense even though I never lived through the time.
@@chpc6217 the word that describes this feeling is "saudade!"
I was 9 in '87 but I was into music early on in life and I had my first synth in '88. The Gunship aesthetic makes me feel like I'm back there.
The nose beers I am sure helped that along...
@@apawstateironic, since Saudade is the name of a band featuring Chino Moreno (who just turned 50 in June) from Deftones, Crosses, team sleep etc...
I'm proud to call gunship one of my favorite music artists ever!
The algorithm brought me here, probably because I play a good bit of Cannons. I never heard of this band before but I love the retro synth-wave! Reminds me of my college days when I got into Shiny Toy Guns. Damn you, CZcams, now I am doing a deep dive!
Welcome to the party! Check out their tracks Fly For Your Life, Tech Noir(and carpenter brut cover), Dark All Day, and Shadow Fury at a minimum!
There is something special happening with this band....
Good god this song jams so hard. Instant classic. Seriously CANNOT wait for the full album!
It's impossible for Gunship to produce a bad song. Everything is GOLD
Still my favorite song of the year. The entire new album is amazing. Bravo GUNSHIP.
this is the best song of all time
Jesus. Adding 50% of Wagasm to the mix is pretty hype. It’s fun seeing Milkie in a non-metal type setting. 👍🏻
I adore how this just feels like how the 80's imagined the 20's and beyond to be. Retro-futuristic dystopia. The Cyberpunk heaven. I love it. And the music was absolutely amazing.
What a track! This is my first time hearing Milkie and the dynamic she adds is incredible. Would love to hear her on more songs.
Well you can. She has a band WARGASM UK
@@TheDemon2.0met her and her drummer Adam in LA a few weeks ago by Whiskey a go go, at the Rainbow bar after I played a set.
She was super nice, surprisingly small world.
@@TheDemon2.0sure he meant with Gunship.
@@TheDemon2.0from what I've heard of her so far on Wargasm, she's far better on this song than she is in her own band.
@@ConnorMcCartney95 Wargasm live is great fun, I recommend it.
Say what you want about any song is the best by Gunship. This song has to be one of the best. That is so hard to say since pretty much all the music is pretty damn good
Damn Daniel, the synths on this are something else!
Good to see you guys putting yourselves out there in a video. Alex & Dan 🍻
P.S. sic solo. Hoping there's more guitar on the album
I guess you mean Alex’ and Dan? ;)
I'm the tallest idiot you can see in the audience at around 1:01 and 1:35 and once again right at the end 5:38
The filming sesh for this in Tufnell park was incredible, it was so cool to be able to chat to the band, the crew and actors who clearly put tons of hard work into this!!! Was so lucky to be a part of it and the end result exceeded my expectations!! Can't wait to hear the album.
Great experience
GUNSHIP rocks!
The chorus of this song is monumentally good.
Goonies never say die
Gunship at full strength. Tim Capellos a don. Even some spicy guitarage! Love the female vocals on this too. Had to look her up. Wargasm stomp!
This is amazing and mad props for getting Tim Cappello to come back for another amazing single by GUNSHIP
There was already butterflies fluttering about inside through this song, and then Tim Cappello started blowing his magic saxophone and those butterflies just took flight like they had rockets shoved up their arses. Awesome! 😅🙃😃😄😊
Hell yes. Tim still on sax. Dark All Day was amazing, maybe Alex and Dan kept this outstanding lineup of power players. I’ll have to look into this.
Great to see how Gunship is evolving, even their music videos are getting more and more professional. To think they've started with 80's movies clip mash-ups as their official music videos :D
i like the mash ups better
This is great but the 80's movie clip videos are awesome and I would hate for them to stop such a cool thing that they've really made their own. Maybe they could do a music video and clip video for each song? Or alternate each video type depending on which songs suit each type? Great work though Gunship!
I'd like more videos like dark all day! 50/50.
@@matthewsummerfield80 I thought this would be a live action remake of it. Pretty good though.

I'm uncomfortable with how obsessed with this song I am....Cool people making cool music. It's just put over the top with Timmy Cap
I am 100% sure that Tim Capello has to be a Highlander or a vampire... He has not aged since seeing him in The Lost Boys.
I'm in my early 40s. Very little new music excites me anymore, with some exceptions. GUNSHIP's "Dark All Day" was a life-changing album for me when it came out 5 years ago, and it was on the highest possible rotation in my life, in my car, at work, at home. I have been eagerly awaiting this new album for years and now that this single has dropped, I feel emotional. I absolutely cannot wait for the full album!
This is a GLORIOUS track. Seeing again Tim Cappello with his Sax really drives me nuts!!! WE NEED A LOST BOYS REBOOT DAMNIT!! WE NEED IT IN A NEW AND POLISHED VERSION WITH GUNSHIP OST.
Amazing work guys!
