- A big shift is coming. In a time of heightened stress and anxiety, I chose to say goodbye to it all and leave it behind. It began with going down to the river to wash it all off, then to the forest to bathe in the sensory atmosphere and forage spruce tips, reconnecting with nature and getting grounded. This week I had a dreamy sunset picnic in the field, worked on the homestead garden, chipped away at my small business restocks and rebranding (which has been causing a lot of emotions since I am doing it all alone) and just took time to meditate a bit and go easy on myself.

Walking in the forest in the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee where I live. Walking in the rain. Listening to nature wake up in the very early morning with my coffee. Thanking the Lord for my eyes to see & my ears to hear. 🥰

My favorite letting go moments is my small patio garden and flowers . Seeing the hummingbirds come to the feeder my daughter gave me ! I live on Cape Cod so the ocean always called to me even though I spent summers as a child in the Adirondacks at my grandparents camp. Its like both are part of who I am. Like the saying All that wander are not lost ! Older now wander not so much but am sure happy I did when I was younger and have memories of friends and lakes and gatherings ! Always makes me happy and smile to see you both live your dreams ! Follow everyone of them !

Ohhhh Ally! This was so Awesome to watch. The forest & waterfalls are so breath taking. They don't look real! All God's beauty to enjoy. You are so very Blessed to live in a paradise like this. That what you said about the water wShing away your troubles,,, is something my dear DAD used to say to me when I was young... He'd say go have a, shower and imagine the water washing all your worries down the drain... I SO love the fact that you two are SO self-sufficient minded! There isn't anything you two can't accomplish with that kind of mindset and willpower! I cannot even begin to tell you how much of an inspiration you are to me. You always remind me of what truly matters, and what brings me the most joy. You remind me to continue to strive for my dreams of one day living immersed in the forest as you are. Sometimes, I do get lost in the anxieties and uncertainties of life, but nature always brings me back into place. Often times I'll find myself looking at the ocean, or a stream, or hills of flowers, and it'll bring a tear to my eye. I don't know many people like me in that way, so you and Kyle make me feel like a little less of a black sheep haha.
I am so appreciative to be able to witness your journey and enjoy the artistry you put into your videos. It really does mean a lot. Always wishing you the best 🤍

My siblings and I were raised with 2 huge gardens, wood stoves for heat and horses on 5 acres. We worked hard from a young age.
