Love this precon deck. Plus it gives warm and fuzzy memories of MTG Ice age.
As a longtime MTG player, I tried a couple of games of FAB with a few different heroes but I found it really clunky and unsatisfying and it felt like I was missing all my impactful plays. Then my buddy leant me this exact deck to try and everything just clicked, I had a blast. Really cool watching this especially where you talk about the earth and ice ratios and keeping back some earths for later in the game, that really made me look again at this deck. Thanks for the insights!
15:57 it should be noted that Entangle doesn't get buffed when it is fused, it gives your opponents first attack on their next turn a debuff.

Thank you for this video. I just got some decks (the new three) I only played two. This one and Lexi. I like Lexi more till I seen this video. I thought I don’t ever attack. Just wait till I hit them with a 10 or something like that. I’m not sure. Yet now I know how to combo a little better

What's so weird about Titan's Fist, is that it's a strictly worse weapon over his majestic hammer, Winter's Wail. I can't think of another instance where a hero's other, higher-rarity weapons were a 100% upgrade over their common (token) weapon. It's very strange to me they went that route. Usually, the token weapons offer something different or not necessarily worse than the higher-rarity weapons.
Can't use Winter's Wail in Bravo, so it loses some Bravos specs

I'm thinking to keep Ice cards and add normal Guardian ones into Odlhim's deck. Smth to remind you the roots from WTR.
Not a huge fan of elements but i prefer ice from all of them and in the end you want to have fun.
What concerns me is that i can't have dominate since i'll use Oldhim. We'll see how it goes !

Awesome guide man, I played a few rounds with the Blitz deck and for what it is, it performed really well. However I am always asking myself when I should use Oldhim‘s hero ability, and if, then which one. Do you have some sort of rule as to when to use it ?
I generally only use it or consider using it when I have a weird hand or when I'm low life. His ability is cool but expensive, so unless you're playing the SUPER long game then I'd use it sparingly!
In my testing, the ice ability it really good to use when your opponents first attack has go again, they have 1-2 cards in hand, and they currently have no resources floating. This ability does not necessarily rely on your knowledge of your deck, but your knowledge of the opposing hero’s deck.
i just got this as a blitz deck to play with my son, hes only 9 and smashed me with it lol. ive heard this hero is hated though as being hard to kill and games taking forever. think i picked my preferred playstyle by accident lol
Do "pitched" values carry over from turn to turn? So could you pitch cards and save the resources for future turns?
They do not, so you have to plan accordingly each turn!

Does this deck still work fine in 2023 ? Im still considering this or Chane blitz deck.

Do you think it is better to just run one element with oldhim in blitz? I could see using ice and earth being more viable in CC
I tend to lean more towards one element and splash the other one!

Mentors going in Arsenal slots, which is where Lexi likes to put her arrows. She said no to wanting a mentor. I tried to call her and get more information, but the collect calling rates to Volthaven are ridiculous.
@@uglykidjoecross3385 with a second arsenal slot, you could leave the face up mentor and still load! I hadn't considered that, actually.
@@DMArmada yea, but that would require the hood. Maybe she gives you are extra Arsenal slot while she is in play, and when she gets 3 Lesson counters, she would give you an Extra Arsenal slot for the rest of the game. Sorry for assuming the mentor’s gender, but apparently rangers are all women in Rathe. Maybe when you hit twice in one turn, she gets a lesson counter and you reload.
@@uglykidjoecross3385 To be fair, Ranger mentor could've been designed slightly differently than other mentors and instead work off of the aura mechanic where the mentor would just be in play rather than in the Arsenal.
