the way he leans in and touches the other person's chair is so damn uncomfortable to watch
😂😂😂😂
who cares! LOL
A fun moment would have been if Nilan had whacked Strombo's hand off Nilan's chair and just continued answering the question.😎
No question he’s a Bostonian. Love the accent and the lingo. I understand it all. I’m 65 and was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston My whole life. God Bless Ya Chris. 🙏
Norfolk or Suffolk county? I'm in Norfolk just outside of West Roxbury.
@@bbb462cid Middlesex. Near Medford.
Even knuckles Nilan knew his place. Damn!
If Knuckles says someone is “dangerous” , believe him!!!!!
Notice he said, Mr Bulger lol
This man has seen the top and rock bottom and he still was strong enough to get sober and clean. Respect! And Chris thanks for signing the jersey! I am probably the only dutch guy with a signed Nilan jersey. Thanks!!
Chris Nilan was tough fighter on the ice and good hockey player to come out of Northeastern university to play NHL
I would have spent part of the 500 on getting my pants dry cleaned after crapping them.
+Westernboy2008 LMAO. Whitey for a LONG time had the reputation of a "good" bad guy in that locals thought he would try and help little old ladies, help kids, etc., but when the truth came out, Whitey was simply a vile POS that killed MANY innocent ppl. And he remained unscathed for so many yrs because of the childhood relationship he had with that FBI agent, Connelly.
Hahahahahahahaha
Haha
Who really needs a date that bad you got to be kidding me see you later! Thanks mr. Bulger but no thanks.
Fascinating story. Wow.
What did you marinade this steak in cuz its......
Nilan is a Boston legend. He's the only Montreal Canadien that I didn't despise.
What about Ken Dryden or Guy Lefleur ? Both well respected men.
Lefleur was an all timer. I have a ton of respect for the Canadiens organization but as a Bruins fan it was brutal. @@smittyinwootown5640
@@martylaquidara7272 I’m a Bruins fan since the mid 60s. I hate them till this day. Will never like Patrick Roy. Ever. But have total respect for the likes of Ken Dryden ( His book is worth reading) and Guy Lefluer They made for some great games.
What a hypocrite Bulger was for telling Nilan to treat his stepdaughter like a lady , while he personaly disrespected them himself.
... and my father told me not to smoke when I was a kid yet he smoked.
Whitey Bulger found it funny that the old chick he lived with in Santa Monica (where they were apprehended) feared him. Imagine being nearly 90 and beaten to death in a penitentiary. Whitey Bulger was a loser although one of his supposed maxims “trust only the Irish” makes my Irish heritage chuckle appreciatively. ☘️
Knuckles could have taken Bulger if he wasn't armed.
But he was...
of course, all criminals are cowards without a gun in their hand.
Then Knuckles probably would have met Kevin Weeks, which probably would not have gone well for Chris
@@emt5330 Kevin Weeks was no "Butter Bean" and Knuckles would've been way to quick with his fists for Kevin to handle.
You know someone was scary when they can can intimidate Hannibal lector😂
Painful to watch the way he leans in so close
Whys it painful??
Love that Irish Boston accent.
+4 star hero That's considered "old school" or a "Townie" type Boston accent, which I also naturally adopted in neighboring Cambridge ("Pahhk the cahh neeuh Hahhvud"). But, with gentrification of much of Boston's neighborhoods nowadays, not nearly as many locals speak with the famous Boston accent, which I find sad, because I think it takes away the character(s) that has helped make Boston famous.
Though if you go to places like South Boston (where Whitey Bulger is from), you can still easily find that authentic Boston accent.
I can't stand the Boston accent, and I grew up in the area. It sounds uneducated. The only thing worse than a Boston accent is a FAKE Boston accent - like they do on TV.
Not a hint of Irish accent!
That’s the junkie accent not the Boston Accent.
Unfortunately still voting like slobs for the fecking Democrats, but you can’t find anybody from Massholechusetts to admit to it…
Behind Osama Bin Laden Whitey Bulger was number 2 on the FBI's most wanted list and Knuckles Nilan kept his cool...damn i love Chris...*Stanley Cup Champion 1986*
George is such a goof. The way he sits in his chair and does an interview is annoying.
I was thinking the very same thing! lol
like Jimmy glick?
Brian Cox It's really gay.
Thinking the same exact thing.
I would have headbutted the guy if he was hovering that close to me.
Knuckles! He went to Northeastern so probably saved that money for Punters Pub
The host is a clown
Why is the guy laughing when he speaks what a crappy interviewer
Apparently, Bulger did attend some games at the Forum. How the hell did he pass through customs?
Have a nice game at da forum Eh....Mr. Jay "Whitey" Miller.... thanks fur da jelly doonut.LOL
Govts n the system works with crimminals
Nilan was one hell of a fighter back in the day....him and Kordic on that team if I remember correctly
Actually kordic was the reason nilan was let go
He was a really good hockey player to
Did Whitney have a gun permit?
I think not.
Only criminals have gun rights in Massachusetts
Yeah -that why we have the lowest gun homicide rate in the country moron.
Why is Nilan talking like a wise guy?
Wise enough to keep some of the cash….
Wise enough to have his name on the Cup….
Wise enough to not reply to you….
Nilan probably got Bluger confused with Jay Miller after one to many punches from players other than Jay Miller....cause we know Miller's rarely did damage LOL. Nilan...." man I hated that guy on the Bruins"
Interesting story! Haha!!
he sounds like an apologist for that muppet
Nilan should have played his entire career in Boston as a Bruin.
Westie boy. CM grad.
And a Northeastern player too, definitely would've loved his career on the B's
That encroaching is an interrogation technique to create a closeness but it is a constant creep in, no in and out.
This dude is darting out like Jack Johnson boxing. Annoying as shit.
Whitey had a lot of nerve considering how he treated woman .
He was dangerous if you're a dirty FBI agent.
I'm glad he doesn't agree with killing innocent people. I don't either. We're both good guys.
“I won’t go kill people, Just beat them up!” Muhammad Ali (paraphrased) talking about why he wouldn’t go to Vietnam, repeatedly delivered by George Carlin 🍀
Why is Strombo touching Nilan's chair?
same reason he crosses his legs like that
Jimmy Corrigan.
Wasn’t Strombo on HNIC in Canada, flopped and got his ass tossed off? I hate these “personalities” interviewers who are as important as the subject. They don’t translate well to other cultures. I mean even w/ the US so similar to Canada Strombo makes me uncomfortable.
Could the interviewer act a little more strange??? Wow. Uncomfortable AF. Surprised Chris didn’t give a “Hey! Back off!!” warning.
Nilan could have KO'd him.
yeah sure he could have! LOL
Let me know when whitey fights 6 foot 5 235 pound guys without a weapon@@ronbonora7872
George phony tough guy
Somebody get knuckles a Percocet !!!
That's real funny dude!!! You got any clue how much pain this guy played in??? HE FOUGHT ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY, HANDS DOWN PROBERT WAS THE HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMP, BUT EVERYBODY DESPISED FIGHTING KNUCKELS. THIS GUY HAD HANDS ON HIM LIKE A SLEDGEHAMMER, AND YEAH HE HAD A BAD OPIATE ADDICTION, BUT ONE THAT HE ALSO WAS MAN ENOUGH TO ADMIT TO AND TO FIGHT IT. HE' S CLEAN NOW AND I LIFT MY HAT TO HIM. I WOULD SEE U DO WHAT HE DID BACK IN THE EIGHTIES MY FRIEND AND TELL ME U WOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN ANYTHING FOR THE PAIN, SAD THING ABOUT ANY TYPE OF OPIATES IS IT S PROGGRESIVE SO THE LONGER U TAKE THE MORE U NEED AND ITS ONE HELL OF A HARD DRUG TO SHAKE MAN
Well said Luke !
nilan made perfect sense. a few innocent ones but mostly just bulger was a better smarter criminal than his victims.
Knuckles would have knocked whitey the fuck out, if it went down. Whitey was a bad man with no reservations to be a Capable killer.
Wow! Now this is big news! Whitey bulger was dangerous! Well holy cow! This is big! I was under impression he was sAint! This guy must have inside knowledge! Im shook to core! Does he know if charles manson was crazy? Please ask him! Im so curious
Charlie was indeed crazy
@@Zeke1379 no way! More big news! First I find out bugler was dangerous ! Now Manson was crazy! This is where u find out inside Info
I am shocked and disappointed that somebody didn't kill Whitey. How many of you people reading this would allow him to fuck up your life, or threaten you or your family, and just take it? I mean, a decent hunting rifle with a scope would have easily done the job from far enough away that not only would you have done the job, but I doubt his pals or law enforcement would have cared enough to make too much of an effort to find you.
I lived in Winter Hill, early '70s. You obviously don't know much about Whitey or his pals.
I know a little bit about Whitey and his pals, in fact most likely some things you don't know, just like I'm sure you know a bunch of stuff I could never know, as I didn't live in Winter Hill. What's more to the point, however, is my original point. If JFK, Malcolm X, and MLK could get assassinated in my lifetime, there is no way Whitey couldn't by exactly the way I described.
Whatever, you say so
Spoke too soon
Whitey and Nilan to classy dudes always.
this guy is such a liar
you couldnt be more wrong. im best friend with his son Chris jr. for gods sake Mr. Nilan was at my house last weekend
Dating advice from a coward that murdered women 👍
Nilan was a cheap shot artist. Zero respect for him. Made me sick to see him in a B’s uniform
