Dyson V8 on Amazon: geni.us/TXm50Q
lol at vacuuming the cat 😂 picking up the hair straight from the source!
I like the hair detangle feature. Couple long hairs and normal vacuums start having issues with brushroll getting all bungled up
Excellent the V8 bought it 3 days ago it does what i want it to do with absolutely no problems great review bro cheers.
Brilliant review! I'm in the UK but I bought because of you. To the point, no hanging about, great graphics, great summary. Amazing. The trouble with your channel is that I don't have much value in subscribing because I dont plan on doing this research too often - but I wanted to take some time to thank you, it's really appreciated.
Awesome, thank you!
Having used it for 4 months now… how has it held up? I’m looking to buy one. Just want to hear your feedback after some use!
It’s fantastic. No negatives from me. Good build quality, good power, easy to use, lightweight. Perfect for my house and does a decent job with mild cat hair too.
The review is super, thank you 👍
I loved the end! That cat loves vacuums as much as you do, I'd estimate.
V8 has to be one of the best model! Wer are using the old v8 animal and I think it’s 5 years old now and it still works amazing. The battery is still good. I just wish it had a flexible attachment
The V8 is still my favorite for the shape of the handle etc. Much easier to use and empty. YAY for Dyson recognizing the value!
Happy about my purchase now. Vacuuming your sweet kitty convinced me even more. ❤Excited for the Dyson to arrive!
Yay! Enjoy!
My favorite vacuum CZcamsr. ❤
These videos are amazing and satisfying
That is so good to hear! Thank you!
Exactly- his reviews are on point. No wasting our time
As always, great review, thanks :) Thanks to your video, I chose the V15 and I'm very happy with it. One thing you could take into account in your tests is that the carpet nozzle is not very good at dealing with the straw that our rabbit scatters on the carpet. This may be a challenge for new vacuum cleaners.
A carpet sweeper might be ok for picking up straw. Depends on how ingrained into the carpet it is.
Mr. Vacuum Wars (I don’t know your name) - thank you for every review you do. Your approach and diligence is appreciated 💯 any vacuum/air purifier purchase I make, i am always sure to use your links to help keep this operation alive. You are a rare gem on the internets 🙌🏻
Thank you!!!!
They also have an Absolute model that includes a soft roller head so the hard floor performance shouldn't be an issue!
And the refurbished V8 absolute is only 199 which includes both heads.
I have a Shark corded stick vac and finally took the plunge on ordering a new Dyson V8 for $299. Never thought I'd shell out for one of these, but cordless has me intrigued!
to note the battery on the v8 is removal and changeable with 3 party battery which have more capacity I did it as the standard battery didnt work very well anymore.
you just need to unscrew I think 4 screw but it is very simple imo.
We got one two months ago as we just renovated from carpet to hard floors. We had the Dyson Animal prior and I was kind of expecting to use the V8 only but with the battery life I find myself using it only on the stairs and for spills (say coffee grounds in the kitchen and things like that). To do the weekly "deep" clean around the house we're still getting the animal out to vacuum rugs and do the dusting on baseboards, fans and other areas. I will say though having the convenience of being able to grab this off the wall and not deal with cords for quick cleanups can be described as a lifestyle change for the better. If you're OCD like me, chances you are if you're watching this video, I'd recommend it especially for the price point.
The ball corded version?
yes@@wigglywrigglydoo
Please consider reviewing one of the Karcher VCN cordless vacuums (3, 4, or 5). It’s a V8-style cordless made by a German company known for their commercial cleaning equipment. It has very promising customer reviews and a claimed runtime that matches the V15. It would be nice to see a brand you haven’t covered before. Thanks for another great video.
I am from Austria and Kärcher as a German company enjoys a very strong position here. But to be honest: They are too expensive for their cheap plastic and less power compared to Dyson. I don‘t really like the Kärcher products my dad bought in the past but i have three Dysons (oldest from 2006) and all of them work. Only a battery change is necessary after a few years.
Thank you for the review. I really wish Dyson would put the laser into the motor head since the wheels does not get clog up quickly by the animal hairs like the soft roller and it can also work on the small carpets without swapping out the head.
Bought this a few days ago and the version I got comes with the soft roller for wooden floors. Picks up larger debris easily.
That is great!
I really hope Dyson restyle next vacuums with old handle design, it was so balanced in the hand and easy to use.
I have an old V8 and what hold me from buying new generations is weight and awful balance, I don’t use carpet so V12 fluffy laser head tempted me but his dust bin is smaller.
So I hope in next generation smarter design.
I bought the new V8 just a few days before you released your review. This is an accurate review! Always enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks! We hope you enjoy your new V8!
I have been using an early Dyson V6 absalute till I had a mishoop the other day and I made it not so functional (dropped very heavy metal onto it and it died). So after over 8 years I finally needed to upgrade. I didn't want the v15 cos I felt I preferred the style, shape and weight of the V8 than the v15. I use it alot freehand so that matches what you said.
I have massively upgraded the battery life, max suction is a bit better, the stainless dustguard inside is much better than the old plastic mesh (I got a tear in mine). I disliked the new powerheads when I first tried them, felt like they just tickled the surface but I have come to really like them with a bit of use. The suction seal is better so leads to less aggressive brushing but just as effective cleaning. The low power setting feels like its alot less than on the V6, but it is tons quieter, cleans juat as well, then when you go to max its a hair quieter but a much nicer sound, so a win in my book. On full power I get some more of that fine packed dust out too. Though max power is short on battery life much closer to the v6 battery life, the drawback is that the longer recharge on the V8 means you tend to want to vacuum on low everywhere then hit max for the worst spots only. I did this on the V6 already due to its smaller battery but still have to despite the "longer runtime" on the V8. I am sure the longer low power life is the lower suction and more effecient powerhead more than reduced consumption of the vaccume fan itself. Not sure the about the washable HEPA filter though.
I am happy, its a solid upgrade, was disappointed bye the accessories all being a different style so had to get an Absalute again and couldnt reuse the old ones. Cost was ok. Its a Dyson not a cheepo but $549 AUD delivered seems ok to me. Given my last one was over 8 years old and on its third battery I think thats reasonable as I paid probably 100 more new for the V6 than the V8.
I think the auto variable speed and the wet mophead "submarine" would be the ideal upgrade for this one. That wet head does not use suction so the V8 feels like it would be ideal to upgrade with.
A comparison of the old V6 with the new V8 in low and high and battery life would be an ideal addition to this video to help people who are replacing a device know what the differences actually are before they buy. Just a though for how future videos are done, as comparisons to past models may seem un-needed but they are informative. As users frequently look to videos to see how the new model stacks up and compares to their old ones.
The reason I prefer this style of vac over the longer newer versions, is that I can easily open everything up and blast out all the stank nastiness that resides deep in the vac with my air compressor. Can’t do that with the ones similar to the V15 style. Bout a year ago, I bought Dyson’s top of the line V15. 😮, that sucker was immediately packaged back up and sent back to Dyson. Wouldn’t own one if they were sold at 25% of their asking price. Just no way to get the innards clean. Without an air compressor, I have no idea how y’all are cleaning out your vacs. Trust me, if you see the plume of funkiness that an air compressor gets out of your vac, you will be buying an air compressor!
You don't know what it's like to have your best friend completely erased by a Dyson V8. One minute we are eating a snack, the second my friends arm is already in the dustcup. Once we got home we were going to go the Sizzler!
Great machine 👌
i can't seem to find front filter replacement for this specific new model. Will the old Filter types work for this one?
I have the old v8 and v11, guess which one I reach for and which one I hate? gonna have to give this new one a go too.
I am loving my Dyson Outsize+. I got it brand new from Offer Up for $350.
Could you please make a video about what is okay and NOT okay to use the dysons to vacuum? I.e. dry rice, cheerios, popcorn, beads, powder, etc. I think people would love that! I’m always uncertain what will destroy my vacuum
Worth pointing out that the battery is removable. it’s just not quick release. It’s three screws and Dyson sell replacement batteries at a reasonable cost on their website at least in the UK, and they even have a CZcams video on how to do it.
I understand that you don’t put prices because they are subject to change, but could you put the MSRP price and not just the $$$$. Thanks! Love the reviews!
Which currency?
Is there a visual difference between the old and the new model? I'm looking to buy the new model and i am concerned about buying the old one by mistake. Can't seem to find a picture that tells the difference between them
hi, is the new AEG (elektrolux company) öko 7000 or animal 8000 available to you in the UK for a test?
How to recognize if WE have the New model or the old one ?
I think the two filters deserve mentioning. There is the usual cap at the end you need to clean, but also down the middle in the container section of the handle. That extra filter should keep the HEPA filter from getting clogged as much. The V10 is basically junk after two years because dirt starts to seep in through the seams of the canister and immediately clogs the filter.
The V10 and above still have a pre motor filter, it's just built into the end cap
You can’t figure a way to seal it?
Is the gen 5 worth it or the gen 5 outsize
just picked one up....nice review
Hope you enjoy it!
Vacuuming the cat looks handy - i have a pet giraffe - would the V8 vacuum an adult giraffe or should i change pet to something smooth like a rhino or an elephant please ?
What vacuum would you recommend for my household? All hard floors and long haired cats so kitty litter and kibbles on the floor.
Im not looking to spend 1000€ on it, something 400-600€ 20-30 minutes of battery is sufficient.
Very cool!
Thanks!
This one or the Shark Detect Pro? I can't decide.
What I don't understand is why is this channel so underrated?? It doesn't even have the tick or check mark 😕
We own the original V8 and it has 2 stage filtration, do the new v8's and the V8 origin have 2 stage or just the hepa? You didn't mention this.
Is this considered the Origin then? I am learning about Dyson's V8 Animal after a friend gave it to me because she thought it died. I brought it back to life for at least 2 years. I recently purchased the Shark Smart Detect and I am not sure I really like this. So I am researching as I am considering returning the Shark to get the Dyson
Had a useful video idea for a while but was waiting for the next dyson video.
The user is able to buy individual accessories separate from the provided bundles for their dyson models. Like hoses, motor heads, crevasse tools etc.
Wonder if you could do a full video on the backward compatability of these accessories.
If an accessory from older models work with newer models and vice versa. It'll make shopping for accessories much easier.
What I almost never see is focus on decibels. Which cordless vacuum cleaners are both powerful and silent? 🤔 By silent I mean under 78 dB
Is this V8 Absolute or V8 Slim?
Is the new v8 better than cyclone v10 absolute?
This guy must have the cleanest house in the world.
Does it come with more expensive price?
Wait, so Dyson stick vacuums will blow the 0.01% of done particles right in my face as I use the vacuum?
We need a full episode with and about the kitty.
What can you get done in 9 minutes? And how long does it take to charge? P.S. Thanks for the review. :-)
Thanks :) And the cat was clearly enjoying being vacuumed haha 😅
You're very welcome!
Just purchased this. Seems like it's going to be great but is it true that you have to hold the power button the entire time you vacuum? No way to switch it on and off?
That is correct. We hope you still enjoy it!
Not removable battery? And when it dies or becomes week what fo you do you throw it in the garbage?
I like my v6
Please release the Dyson big and quiet review video. Thanks
Working on it!
@@VacuumWars can't wait!!
V8 power!
First!! 🏆
How do you know you have the new model? Is there a different model number?
This is what I want to know too!
0:24❤😂
I still have 3 original V8's that I've since converted to work with Dyson batteries. Still terrific vacuums. Edit: (Not Dyson, Dewalt batteries!)
Cool!
V8 is a dyson it should work with dyson batteries !!!
Thanks!@@prtbone78
How did you convert it to use DeWalt batteries?
BTW u knew what you meant Jason. Lol was just messing with ya
Does the new V8 come in the same trims as before? V8, V8 Origin, V8 Animal, V8 Absolute?
Whats the difference between them all? Is the Origin just a target exclusive version of the basic V8?
How do you know you're getting the refreshed version?
The V8 Absolute is on sale right now for $280.
It'll be great if I can buy just the updated floor head attachment for my old V8
I got you.

Can you do a review on the Cleanmax pro series Comercial vaccum ?
I have the same vac😂
@@user-cx8yt5fi8q is it good because I want to get one for my cleaning business
It seems that the V8, V11 and V11 Outsize will have endurance in the Dyson lineup for many years.
People seem to be really happy with those!
vacuuming the cat lmao
How do you differentiate the old and new model? And also if I go to the official danish Dyson website, it doesn't show that the motorized hair screw head comes with the base model?
also realized that, dyson is selling the old version. retailers put « next gen » in the title.
How do I know which one is the new 2023 version ? … I see the V8 and the V8 absolute..
Any chance you could review the Roborock H7 Cordless Vacuum? On paper it looks competitive with Dyson but much more affordable.
Unfortunately that vacuum has been discontinued.
@@myNEONCITY oh that’s a shame
We need new technology! Ultra light , ultra durable, ultra reliable, extremely efficient, ultimate sound reduction, extremely high capacity, 1 million times test for rough user, easy remover for every single part (including those with screws now without screws) ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Got one yesterday 😉😉💪💪 329 E
Enjoy!

When are you going to review the Dyson 360 Vis Nav?
We will order ours once it is available in the US. We can get started on it after that.
Okay, thanks for the info!@@VacuumWars
We are finishing our review of the Dyson Vis Nav 360 today! Come back tomorrow at 4PM EST for our full review!
The only good thing about the v8 is the dewalt battery mod you can buy for it, too bad you can’t do that for the other models
What exactly is that¿
Does it make a lot of noise when rolling on hard floors? I'm buying this for our tenant. Their current vaccum makes horrible noise and she cleans every single day!
Glad to hear you are happy with it!
@@VacuumWarsI this you missed the question in my comment.
I bought one and yeah its awesome... I get excited to vaccum the house just so I can use it
So glad you are happy with it!
I bought a Kirby recently and I'm kind regretting it. The power is there for sure, but the ease of switching accessories is laborious and confusing.
We hope you are able to enjoy it still. There is a lot to like there.
4:19,oh thats a no no😢
If they didn't improve the battery than it's not worth buying.
The V8 update is stealing the V12 Slim's lunch.
The power settings are not "low power" and "high power" but "normal power" and "high power" 😉
I need a new charger, had my dyson for years, vacuum is fine just need a new charger.
If the new V8 is like the old one, it's just 2 screws holding the battery.
Non-removable battery is a big no-no from me
There’s some 3rd party adapters for the V8 that can use power tool batteries you can swap with on the fly. Vacuuming for hours if you’ve got multiple batteries.
Exactly. Wahh 😢
Well the old version was considered non removable because it was screwed in. You could still buy new V8 batteries. Could be the same here.
Identical setup as the original, remove the screw, pull the battery and replace it.
The only reason the v8 sales today is because of the dewalt battery mod

V13 $100 off at Costco
Thia thing sucks for wooden hard floors. Mine got ruined by the head…..only using it for a year now…so dont buy when you got a real parquet.
v8 is much cheaper. You think it could handle car mats ?
Have one of these and the battery died within a year. Replacement battery died even quicker.
I love Dyson but I haven't had good luck with these things at all.
I bought a V8 in 2016 and used the heck out of it until I gave it to a family member. She still uses it all the time. I did replace the battery (it's easily removable with a couple of screws) because it didn't run long enough to cover my entire 1700SF. I don't see any improvements to the accessories on the new V8. That small motorized brush roll is a downgrade, IMO, because the brush doesn't come close to either edge like the older one did.
If you spill cereal on the floor and immediately reach for a high tech hoover rather than a dustpan and brush then you can be the first one on mars
People that complain about small trash bin. Hey of your floors can fill this bin up with one use then od say 1 clean more pften or 2 get an upright upright.
The worst thing Dyson ever did was not labeling their max power mode as “picking up an entire potted plant mode”
The number of acquaintances and friends that run around with their Dyson’s on max and then complain that it only last for eight minutes, all the while having no idea that they just used a vacuum in some sort of emergency hyper power mode the entire time makes me just want to die. A friend used my V10 one time, and I immediately could tell the next time I used it they used it at max because they had completely circumvented the cyclones and clogged the filter.
I’m quite sure filter clogging was not Max mode, in fact it would prevent filter buildup from higher g forces, but your points on max mode are correct. It’s almost like driving a car, you don’t want to always run it on max power or you will wear things out.
Your friend probably turned on the unit with the bin open. All the dust ejected from the cyclones would just get fed to the filter since the cyclones can now pull air from the ejection port. You can look up cyclonic filtration for more technical details. James Dyson actually got inspiration from a sawmill using a similar apparatus.
Battery lasted about 13 months! Tried to order online and the website is horrible! Additionally, The customer service was not knowledgeable about navigating it. She refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor! I’m going to some other brand since I can’t seen to get a new battery! I’ll go back to a shark of some kind!
Tozlar şekil mi değiştirdi mk 😂 2010 da ki tozlar 2024 ile aynı. Yani bu ürün eskiden işe yarıyorsa hala işe yarar
Dyson can’t stand up by itself. It has to lean on something. Thats annoying. It use cheap battery too. I have to replace after one year. Not worth the money.
