Thank you so much I needed this vid
So I have a B450 motherboard and originally had 16 gb of DDR4 Ram at 3000 mhz installed. I purchased the exact same ram to upgrade to 32 gb and at first I was alarmed that it kept booting then immediately restarting right after I added power but it did boot me into the bios where I changed the speed and voltage to match the other set. However once I got to my Home Screen something was completely messed up. I couldn’t connect to any networks (no networks appeared) and the sound had a red X through it and it said audio services are unavailable. I couldn’t use the windows search feature either when trying to navigate to the CMD window to check for issues. K couldn’t run any troubleshooters either ( seemed like something corrupted in the process somehow) I ultimately had to reset my whole PC to get it back up and running. And yes I did install it correctly, ensured the right speed, and it was reading 4 sticks at 32 gb.
thanks!
Ahhh it seem easy to switch it or add put there, like not take all parts out then put back but that would be great!
So do I just get rid of the old 8gb ram stick then put in the new 16gb ones and then it should work? Sorry I’m not good with PCs
Thank you so much bro
Do you have a video on installing a NIC on one of the PCIe slots in a CyberPower PC? thanks
i found out mine is DIMM DDR4 does the model matter which one i get mine doesnt have a model on it so im a little bit confused for example if i get a corsair or a crucial one does it matter..? im on 16 ram atm i need 48 & my pc says i got 4 slots but all i see is 2 slots
nice simple explanation
Awesome dude! Thanks, we have the same pc case lol
yo sick ass video bro helped a lot
I wise man once said “straight up”
How do you know exactly if you need to skip a channel in between the 2? On mine someone said I'd have to but I'm still not sure because I'm not really noticing any difference.
Hey I got the exact same pc and was wondering how you got your fans to be so quiet. My fans sound like jet engines when I turn my pc on .
If you still have the Intel cooler it' most likely that, I'd change the cpu cooler and the sound will go down

Got 4-16gb corsair installed. Seemed to work just fine and started up with no issue. My PC is only 2666 and I bought 3600Mhz. How do I check its running at correct speed?
Can I please have some help? My monitor won’t display what’s going on after I installed the ram
I just bought 3000mhz of ram i have intel corr i5 8400 will it work bu be capped at 2666 or will it not work at all
What no one talks about is the software side of things. Can 2 kits of 2x16 GB of RAM work fine with each other? There’s also the fact that motherboards have capacity limitations which is why my X570 is probably not posting with two kits installed (totaling 4).
deadass my pc came with a DDR5 and i purchased the same one from amazon and just installed it i didn’t make sure it was the same or anything i mean they both 8GB
@@NyctophiliaOfficial Yeah. In my case, my dumba$$ wasn’t making sure they were seated properly so my PC wasn’t posting. Both my processor (5900X) and my mobo (TUF GAMING X570 Plus) can handle up to 128 GB of RAM. On the flip side, you definitely want to make sure your RAM is QVL supported for the corresponding motherboard.
Sometimes you can also get bad RAM which may not cause the system to boot or cause instabilities. Even when buying the same model RAM, double check to make sure the CAS latencies and timings match up between the two kits.
will the corsair vegeanance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 High Performance Desktop Memory Kit, be goo for a B450 APRO MAX motherboard?

Is the CL channel usually on the ram stick or is it in a manual or something
Thats the numbers I said you might have to input yourself.
It's on the side
Hey can you tell me where you bought this ram from and is your pc a prebuilt if so is it a 15-10400F and a 1660 super because that’s what I have. Also what did you mean by channel 2 and 4 for the ram installment
Yes it's the same pc, I bought that ram on Amazon but it's overkill for that PC
I'd look at ddr4 3000mhz 2x8gb
You have channel A and channel B
@@NWCPcbenchmarks so when I get 2x8 Gb ram sticks I would put them in A1 and B1
I have a prebuilt with i5-9400f and 1660. I installed my new two 8gb 3600mhz ram so 16gb in total ram. The RGB for the ram turned on and everything but there was no display. Could you please tell me why it isn’t working? I also put it on slots 2 and 4
Try taking out the CMOS battery with no ram in and the computer unplugged
Depending on the board you have it doesn't support 3600mhz so taking the CMOS battery out will set it back to default speeds
do i need to match the cl channels on the new ram I am adding with the old ram? Everything between the two sets is the same I just don't know the old ram's cl channel, so I cant match it before I buy the new one.
No it doesn't but to avoid headache it's easier if it's all the same.
It will just pick the slower of the two automatically
If I have a xpg kit then can I switch to another kit
can i get the link for the RAM you used in the video

Could you run 2x16 or would it be maxed at just the 2x8? Would be it better in the long run?
@@NWCPcbenchmarks thanks im assuming it's come down a bit since u got it cus it was a lot more a fewmths mk but I just ordered 2×16... and i currently have 8 in now my question is shld I do both 16s and the 8 or just the 2x16s , I made sure that they were 3200s like my 8

Great video. SO as long as it fit into the slot on the mother board, it is basically fit ?
Yep, and you should hear 2 clicks, just make sure it matches the kinda ram you have ddr4 or ddr5

if i get 2 more rams would it matter where i put the ram or are there specific spots i need to attach them in
Does the ram have to be the same brand because i recently bought a gaming pc and I dont know what brand it is can maybe help me please?
Thanks for the tutorial, it helped a ton lol
I have two installed but have the third left over, is it alright to put the third in as well for 24 gb?
Its always recommended that these ram sticks are in pairs of 2 or 4. Having odd numbered ram sticks can cause inconsistencies or instability.
How do I check what kind of ram my motherboard supports. I remember there being this website that tells you that but I forgot what it's called. Could you help me
If your unsure of the name of your motherboard, do a userbenchmark test and at the top it will say what board you have, next you can look up the board specs with Google
I installed my ram and now my screen is just black??? My board supposed to support 64 gb and I’m only trying to go up to 16 but the old 8gb ram works fine if I take out my new ram
Leave the new ram in and unplug the PSU take out the CMOS battery on the motherboard and leave it out for 10 min
Put it back together and plug in
If my first ram is in my ram slot 1 would the other ram stick go onto slot 3
You have to look up your motherboard and see what it says it needs to be
hey maple i was really looking forward to this vid and was wondering if you could link the ram you got so i can get it once i get this same pc
I wouldn't get the same mine is too fast for a b460 board this is better and does all the same stuff

Unplug the PC, take out the CMOS battery off the motherboard, as well as the ram
Leave it out for 5 / 10 min, put it all back in and try the PC again
This will clear your bios.
Make sure the display port is hooked up to the gpu and not the motherboard
Mine started blinking red what does that mean
I also have another question on my pc it only has 2 slots for ddr4 ram does it matter where I put the ram in or is there a certain order
If you have two sticks it doesn't matter, one you'll have to look up your board
Look up the board to find the online manual on what channel to fill first

And would i also be able to buy a better graphics card like an Rtx or GTX ?
I saw someone say you have to clear CMOS when adding RAM. Is this actually necessary?
For a cyber power pc does it have to be that certain ram stick because I was thinking about installing Corsair 2x16 3600 into my pc
You should be fine using 3600mhz ram as long as the motherboard supports that speed
I got a question so my ram is teamgroup and if I get teamgroup and same specs but the ram looks a lil different then the one I have now is it still fine

So. One of my ram sticks broke. I'm buying a new one. Can I replace the broken one if they are the same brand and gig type?
They should work fine together, there are some rams that look the same, same speeds, same size and dont work without changing some numbers on the bios (xpg is bad for that)

Idk if this is a "Dumb Ass" question or not but I've never gotten a real answer 😂 Do you have to to buy/get the same brand sticks of Ram that are already in your PC or can they be two different brands? I know it will probably "work" just asking is there any problems/negatives to it! Appreciate you My Brother! Great channel/videos My G! 🤘🏽
It can work, that problem can be they have different values of latency. This could cause the PC to have some problems. But if you already have the sticks just try it
@NWCPcbenchmarks Ahhh! I see! 😏🫡 I actually thought that! Really Appreciate You My G! Def helps! Especially because I figured as much but wanted to be 100% positive. I've just never heard anyone else ask/talk about it really. & anyone I know that knows anything about building PCs/PC Parts/etc. all said the same! Its not "Law" that you use the same kind/brand of Ram in your PC already but they advise it just as you did! Keep up the great work my brother! ✊🏽🫡🫡🫡
Ya there's different cases for everything, not every part is made the same and it's not law.
I used two different ram sticks in a friends PC with no problems. Tried on my ryzen build and it wouldn't run right even after changing speeds and latency
Mine is not clicking when I put it and I’m scared to break it and when I pull the lever to make it in place it doesn’t go any the wall
How do you find out what type of stuff can be supported by the computer for ram
Look up your motherboard you have and it will have a list of supported ram type and speeds.
If I had 2×8 could i just add 2 more 8 gb sticks to the other 2 vacant slots to make 32 gb total?
Yes but get a match to what you already have, or it could be a pain to make it work

@@NWCPcbenchmarks update im getting a new ram maybe tomorrow or the next day still trying to figure out if CL matters or not my ram is CL 15 I believe my motherboard asrock a320m/ac planning on getting the corsair vengeance 3200 CL16
Yes lower cl the better
Let's say you have a car that goes 50mph, (2400mhz) but it only has to make 10 stopa aka cl 10 vs a car that goes 60mph (3000mhz) but has to make 16 stops aka cl 16

This is why some people say 3200mhz cl 16 is better than 3600mhz cl 18
Both are good but both have different problems

It's best to just use 2 new stick but you can still use the 3 sticks but doesn't give any boost

@@stepbrotwisty so if your comp is automatically taking you to bios then its because you are trying to start your pc with another drive that doesn't have your windows on it (if I'm not mistaken).
