Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on Itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?
Friday Night Funkin' is an ongoing project that will continue to receive updates, bug fixes and new content. A full version of the game is currently in development, having been successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign. Check the changelog here for information on the latest updates. 🤍💙Nice detail that when comes to Daddy Dearest and Pico, BF is rude and swearing. But when comes to Spooky kids, he is much polite and do not use swears, since he raps against kids💙🤍
Honestly love how he plays along to Skid n' Pumps obsession with spooky month/stuff, playfully rapping along about scary and spooky stuff happening to them. Unlike Dad battles where he insults him and treats him with disrespect, very nice touch.

That Dadbattle might be one of my favourite FNF songs ever! It adds so much energy to both BF and DD as well as letting GF join in and add some neat context to the fight and bringing some great interactions between all of them. DD’s vocals are so bold and intimidating, the key change really ties it all off and that dialogue in between and at the end of it is really fucking funny 😂😂
I personally really like the lyric swap key change combo. Really feels like both sides are laying all the chips down, especially with the first line being "Ran outta strikes".

I love how BF is such an arrogant punk with Daddy Dearest and Pico but when he’s rapping with the spooky kids he’s goofy and polite. He’s an ass most of the time but is nice to the kids and that is such a fun character detail

like their expressions are supposed to always be the same. [but this is a high quality mod so you can get away with more.]
dd is always the same over protective at first but then warms up to bf when he realizes "hey i can make this guys life hell and have fun without killing him." he also a sore loser

all in all the mod devs and singers did a great job of making the characters back to their normal selves.
i agree. That's why its makes me cringe when some players or youtubers get upset because the mod isn't "family friendly". It's like they forgot about the death screen or the dialogue in Senpai's week

there are some secret songs that can be accessed, the first one i tink you jave to press left right up down on the main menu, second one i think is on the freeplay menu you write "sheldon" and that's another secret song

There are actually 2 secret songs, if you press left right left right up down up down in the freeplay menu I think you get one and if you press s-h-e-l-d-o-n on the main menu you get another
