Sark has already said that he was in a Bama QB room that had Hurts, Tua, and Mac Jones. All of them got their time and all of them have become starters in the NFL. Hurts had to transfer and now Murphy is leaving Texas which is fine for both of them. But there is no need to get all flustered about multiple star QBs and one of them waiting a bit. Arch is going to be great and he wont panic.

@jasoncanady7055 it's a one off win. Just like Tulane beating USC in the bowl game last year or Appalachian state beating Michigan back then on the blocked kick. Every dog has its days. I think Texas will fare better in the SEC with time as they have deep NIL pockets vs Oklahoma but nothing immediate in 2024 season. Texas will realize when they play SEC regularly that you can't tout a top recruiting class when they are all WRs and DBs and compete against Georgia 7 days after playing Oklahoma. Bama, Georgia, LSU, and Florida are getting top recruiting classes from the trenches is what keeps them relevant every year. That's all I'm saying. Texas A&M is great example.

It'll be interesting to watch what Arch does. I think the Mannings, as a family, are brutally honest with each other and know where Arch is as a quarterback in the pantheon of top-tier D1 QBs. And I would expect that Cooper, his dad, would have some good insights on being patient, and preaching 'just be as prepared as you can when you get your shot' mentality. Longhorns fans showed some impatience, but Ewers shut that up with his play, but I think the Mannings are looking long-term and making sure he is physically and mentally prepared for the NFL.

Peyton wanted to redshirt, but was forced to play because of injury. Eli redshirted, was a back up his second year, and then took over the starting job in his third year in campus. Archie Manning just did an interview with SI where he talked about how happy Arch was at Texas and said that Eli had the ideal developmental timeline.
That should be a clue. Arch isn’t going anywhere, and will step into the job in ‘25 and start torching teams thanks to his patience and Sark’s mentorship.

That's because you don't know college football as well as you think you do. Have you been asleep since August? You're confusing "hasn't done it" with "can't do it".

If you're not Alabama, Clemson or Georgia , then Texas has accomplished the same or more than your team. Try again Junior. maybe try something other than a fake narrative.

Kick Ewers to the curb 😂 😂 😂 they better not let Manning leave just so Ewers can stay. I might be in the minority for that line of thought.

Travis was faking that injury. He is not superman. Go back and look at that video. The defensive player never touch Travis ankle. His ankle was tucked under his butt. When he was down and got up he was prop and kneeling on his right knee. Who do you know that suffered a high ankle sprain returned to practice the next day. This was highly dramatize. Give him a Oscar!

Texas will be 6th in the SEC. Arch's goal is to do what the mannings have never done in college which is win the National Championship. Not happening with Texas going into the SEC. Georgia, Alabama, LSU gives him the best chance.

@joe92 you count a 1 off this year and you think it's the standard. 😄 you watch too much big 12 football. Remember TCU vs Georgia which is the reason FSU isn't in the playoffs. Anyways it's looking to be Alabama vs Texas in this playoffs and it's hard to beat a team twice. Let alone a SEC champion twice. Unless Texas loses to Washington.

@joe92 haha. You forget how bad Texas got whooped in the national championship with colt playing or not playing. Same how LSU ran through Texas in 2019. The horns fans say they lost by 10 points apparently didn't watch the game. They couldn't stop LSU. BTW 2024 they chose a bye week before Oklahoma instead of Georgia which is 7 days after Oklahoma.

Arch Manning is not going anywhere- he is doing himself the best thing by redshirting, adapting to college life, building up his body, learning the playbook, his teammates and how to succeed in college football by being under Sarkisian's wing. He doesn't need money and with Ewers prone to getting hurt each year- he might just be the starter sometime in 2024 but definitely in 2025- he will be running the UT offense. Sarkisian is building a top tier annual program at UT. Arch Manning is a huge piece of this program. Maalik Murphy is going to the portal in 2023, they are going to lose a lot of good players on both sides of the ball so playing opportunities will be available for the next man up in 2024.
