Also, I personally think Summit is a more laidback experience when farming loot, you don't have to run around like crazy as in the countdown game mode

Countdown still the best especially if you’re new trying to get expertise up all named items and targets loot
I was born in the Summit, lived and thrived in the darkness. I've seen many fellow agents not make it out..
I have played the Summit in Legendary three times (complete runs) and about six times in Heroic; the problem with the Summit is that the loot is too scarce, I remember playing entire floors (even in Legendary) without having a single drop. The Summit is not a story-driven game mode, if you play it is for the loot, if the amount of loot is insufficient I don't see a valid reason to grind 100 floors for the sake of it.
Somehow it also feels like it takes FOREVER
I find doing floors one to ten, reset, rinse and repeat.
Or once you've killed the boss of floor 10 and picked up the loot, as long as there's at least one person left running around.. Quit to lobby and replay floor ten over and over..
That's a pretty decent loot run to do.
Heroic with all directives, major loot!
Ive been running it solo on challenging with a bunch of different directives active and have gotten more loot than i know what to do with. Even got my first two exotics yesterday from rogue agent drops. The only thing that hasnt dropped are the components for ridgeways pride ive only had one component drop
I really liked the summit but felt there was so much potential to make it something amazing. The fact that the Summit was just random rooms until the top floor really hurt. There was so much potential to make that mode absolutely amazing. It should of had an edit mode, so you could create your own summit and people could play them. They could have did the summit as a true standalone mission. Make it so the summit is controlled by a faction. Have side missions like clearing floors, restoring power, freeing hostages, etc. They could have lieutenants as bosses (maybe a big boss every 25 floors). They could have made it something awesome. Shit they could have did a "Nakatomi Plaza" mission during the holidays. The summit has been taken over by some faction. You need to rescue hostages until reinforcements arrive. But make it like Survival. You start with a pistol and work your way up as you take out enemies, etc.
The summit is a cool feature, but I would have loved it if they had it like an actual mission and each season there was a new faction that controlled the summit, but each faction controlled the summit differently and the floors had different layouts, hazards, et. And just have it along with the manhunts. It would give people even more to do. But seeing how they did this Stovepipe manhunt, I am hoping they continue with that.

Something not mentioned in the video, you can actually get two Hunter masks from the Summit. If you complete the Summit during the Holiday season you'll be rewarded a Santa Claus themed Hunter mask

Skillz question, can you get the Scorpio in the Summit? I lost mine and haven't been able to get another one to drop.
I myself have both the Capacitor & Ridgeway's Pride.
They made changes to the quest for Ridgeway's Pride, originally you had to get an exotic component on each difficulty in the game & the hunters in Rogue agents or 5 instead of what it is now 3.
Summit & legendary + 5 directives =nice God rolls 😊
Compared it to heroic and in 10 stages legendary you get mote than in 40 stages of heroic
The summit does drop exotics. I got my capacitor, and my ridgeway's pride from completing the missions. I've also got the sweet dreams to drop there as well. I had on shotguns for targeted loot. I was farming for the Scorpio. I lost it and it's hard to get back. I wish I could craft another but you need one to do so. 😢
Can you keep the gear you loot from the summit and Wony in general and use it when you go back to the main game ? I don't own Wony yet so I'm curious about this.
Heroic with 5 directives gives you optimum chance to get good rolled loot that gives you 125% increased chance to get targeted loot
and you also get 2 backbag charms 1 on 50th and 1 on 100th floor they look nice and 2 patches aswell on these floors
Can you get The Apartment named smg in summit or is it only dark zone

is it good for farming momento back pack? im struggling to get it. I can do challenging. heroic is still hard for me
Also if i leave Summit, can i come back the next day to continue on the same 3 floors somehow? 1-100 is too long for me in 1 sitting
I completed the 5 challenges for the summit to get the capacitor but when I checked it went back to challenge 1 and didn’t get the capacitor
I just did 1-100 and I’m mentally drained.
How long did it take?
Myself and fellow agent were farming for the capacitor, and we both got one to drop within the first few floors
It is a reward for 5 challenges for everyone first time

Yea haven't been there, ever since they've got rid of the summit floor 10 farm. Simply not worth it, waste of time. I'd rather play countdown (when it works🙃)
Not to mention the Summit is an easy way to get an Exotic cache...Just need to do 30 floors on any difficulty. Easy components. The three issues I have with Summit are 1)Getting through the 30 floors can feel like a grind due to the repetitiveness of the mode. 2) The amount of loot is pretty scarce. I can run several floors without even seeing a Targeted loot item drop. 3) The XP gains are rather minimal IMO...well at least until every 10th floor (boss) floor. Don't forget We all remember using the Floor 10 farm for XP. You can still farm floor 10 for loot though...especially if looking for an exotic. Still fairly efficient, but you just don't get the XP.
There's no real reason to do this now that countdown exists though. 2 runs will get you an exotic cache and thats about 40 minutes.

For anyone bored of playing summit on heroic, try it out on legendary. I found it’s obviously a lot more difficult but it also forces you to be a lot more tactical and it feels a lot more rewarding.
@@Jordan-ln9rp yeah that is true. I just think it’s a good challenge. I did about 10 floors last night but haven’t checked my gear to see if it’s any good. I have a feeling it’s probably going to be very similar to heroic.

The Summit is ok but the loot drops in this mode are rare. You get much more loot doing a Countdown run than doing 10 or so floors in Summit
For me the summit is nice to loot but the hunters come 2 at me so it's a bit hard and as I put it on challenging they got me few times until I got a support from a player I was bloodthirsty for them 😂😂😂
How do you get past the poison floor, like I am just always dying?

The chest is mostly behind a locked door. Look for it and shoot the lock to get in
Countdown not working is the only reason to go there on a normal basis
Anytime I try to matchmake for countdown. It can only find one player. That's the reason I don't play countdown!
countdown works fine like 1 in 8 runs is bugged and if you just wait like 2 minutes it starts up.
@@TaureanSmoke what difficulty it takes me about 2 minutes to find a full 8 random squad on challenging or heroic, but heroic tends to be packed with noobies trying to get carried and messing up the whole squad so i just run challenging.

lol it's every 3 floors but starting over at 10.20.30.40.50.etc. so 3,6,9, 13,16,19, 23,26,29, 33,36,39 and so on. Hope this helps clarify it.
Does the level of difficulty how high your attributes will be? I’d like to run 100 floors on normal but if it’s going to be effecting the level of attributes then I’ll try it on a higher level thank you for your videos very informative
Yes difficultly does give better rolls I have done it on challenging an heroic the drops are all over u can get garbage on heroic if solo challenging it's faster but if u have a team to me the drops are higher rolled

Zero. Dark Winter can't drop from the Summit or the Light Zone. You can only get it from DZ, Named Item Caches and (maybe?) conflict caches. I got both of mine from Named Item Caches.

I got mine on my NEW PC account open world bounty. It does drop from open world bounties now 100% got mine live on stream. Some say they have gotten as a drop too

Skillz how can u say this. It barley drops loot. Some floors don't drop anything but one are two mods. The capacitor yes good idea but for loot bunk . Plus countdowns broken for what now two weeks .
It drops loot just not a bunch of loot but for me 3 three reasons had nothing to do with loot. It had to do with capo toe, ridgeway and the hunter mask

You only get it the first time you do summit.
Here’s a reason. Countdown is always broken. I can barely get into a countdown maybe 1/5 tries. Summit is incredibly boring and the loot drops are 💩

the summit has the worst loot in the game, to get loot and maybe a good loot you need to play in group and with ton of directives...is not worth it at all...about the capacitor you can get it from bounties in open world.
Capacitor does not drop without gettting it first from what they have said. Ridgeway will not drop until your craft it. That hunter mask drops no where else

That's a pvp exlusive. You can only get it from named cache, pvp related cache or darkzone

1 big reason not to do it is it’s the most boring game mode ever created it rinse and repeat every lvl descent will be exactly the same played it on pts was so boring and won’t bother when it does go live

The Summit is absolute trash once you've got the Capacitor. The XP is awful and the whole place is miserable. I call it Depression Simulator.

The reason not to do the summit: NO LOOT DROPS. Solo players are lucky to get 1 DROP PER FLOOR. No thanks; it's actually more efficient to WAIT until the loot you are looking for is targeted on the map. F the devs for nerfing Summit drops AND xp. The only reason to do the summit is for the exclusive items ( Ridgeway's and Capacitor). After that, it just tedium without reward.

The Summit is trash. Boring, monotonous, and the targeted loot drop rate is about 1/10th of what you get from Countdown.
The Summit is boring and repetitive but yeah, it's a good targeted farming run.
