    I know this video is old as hell BUT, I CAN confirm the G4 Kneepads are a pain in the ass to get into the pockets as well.
    Not only is it a pain in the ass but, the kneepads look and feel as though they're being pushed out of the pants, anytime I take a knee. I've had to readjust my kneepads and reseal the velcro closures after about 20 times of taking a knee. I'm definitely not a fan of how they did the overall setup with the kneepad pockets on these pants, in terms of how they fit the actual kneepads. Be it the G3 or G4 kneepads.

    I'd love to see a review of the G4 Combat Shirt if you've got it.

      EGC_Warlock maybe one day but not right now. When I get one I’ll post a review!

  • @carlosleonardogomezhidalgo1573

    The only question that I have is this one: I see most people who wear those tactical pants with pads that they don’t blouse them to wear boots. So those pants are made different? Or you can still blouse them when you wear boots

    Greetings from Ukraine.
    I'm thinking of ordering G4 combat pants, but I can't find information anywhere about how they fit and whether they stretch at the waist.
    My waist ( 89cm =~35 inches) is right on the border between size 34 and size 36.
    I am very worried that if I buy a size 36 they will sit like a bag. Or if I buy 34 and they do not stretch, then I will have discomfort after eating or while sitting
    The VTX RIPSTOP™ fabric has 2% elastane which should give a fairly flexible ride, so if the waistband also has stretch properties then I wouldn't have to worry about the 34 being a problem

    • @NemeanIndustries
      @NemeanIndustries  Před 2 lety +1

      I would go 36”. They have a waist adjuster tab with velcro, so you’ll be able to make it fit perfect. I have a 32-33” waist but always get 34s and they’re great.

    How do you deal with G4 pilling? Just pull them off? Cut them off? Asking because I got a G4 field shirt and it's already pilling on me after one wash.

      They’re just a tad slimmer. I still buy the same size as I do in G3 and they fit great.

  • @ExploTheOne
    @ExploTheOne Před 5 lety +1

    I've run it for a couple FTXs and the only downside for me is that the material is pilling really heavily at the more intensively used parts. (eg.: crotch, bottom, end of the legs.) It doesn't seem to weaken tho, but it's annoying. What about yours?

    • @NemeanIndustries
      @NemeanIndustries  Před 5 lety

      ExploTheOne I’ve worn em in some thick brush and had the same up on my thighs/ groin area. Also, they don’t do much to stop thorns from penetrating your skin.lol

      Loads of people have the same issue with this new fabric.

    • @ExploTheOne
      @ExploTheOne Před 5 lety

      @@Tremulousnut Thats good to know. I thought at first that mine was badly treated on the outside hence the severe pilling. Mine looks like an old pair of sweatpants at this point... still no tears and fading tho despite the heavy use so thats good and still comfy af. The pilling is outrageous tho, not that looks are the important part, but still i would expect better quality for almost 280 bucks

    • @Tremulousnut
      @Tremulousnut Před 5 lety +2

      @@ExploTheOne Fading is more of an issue with FR clothing, like the 6.5 ounce fabric used on the Crye AC FR, or to a lesser extent, the Drifires. There's something about FR materials that don't hold colour well. VTX ripstop is still NYCO but with a different ratio of fibers and the introduction of spandex to the mix.
      The warning signs were there from the beginning, nobody noticed until Crye released it to the public.
      Rich from Reptile House noticed something, in the promotional materials, Crye stated: "3x tear strength of NYCO milspec requirement" - Crye is playing a clever game here. It doesn’t mean that VTX RIPSTOP exhibits three times more tear strength than NyCo, or abrasion resistance. It simply means it’s three times the minimum required for passing milspec.
      I'm not saying all of this is bad, but I guess this is the new set of tradeoffs Crye is going for. They are moving towards more comfort, specialised features, but at a cost of reduction in durability. I guess G4 with all its features were tailored for a certain type of door kickers with a big government budget.

    Are you satisfied with the central closure Velcro on the G4 pant? Is it reliable? Does it unexpectedly open during certain movements like running, jumping, or crawling? Does the Velcro lose its gripping power over time, or does it remain as effective as the first day? Thank you.

    • @NemeanIndustries
      @NemeanIndustries  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Nope, it’s a pretty large bit of velcro and when it’s under your belt it’s not coming undone.

    Serious question, are they true to your real waist measurements? I ask because with Levi's, dickies, wrangler I wear 34x30.. my issued acu or multicam bottoms are med short.. but my actual waist measurement is 42? The website measurement chart directions are to order off your actual waist size... thanks for any all info I appreciate it.
