0:00 Intro.
0:05 The shop removed the 2nd throwout/release bearing and replaced the clutch fork and the clutch now works.
0:23 "Customer declined repairs, but it had a broken radiator support bracket, so the radiator slipped out and was hanging, the condenser ended up getting scraped until it opened up and Freon was leaking everywhere out of it, the radiator hose ended up being in the way of the shift arm on the transmission but it also had body and slight frame damage, all this was because of an accident the customer got in."

0:50 No extra info.
1:02 Another good reason to get a vehicle inspection before purchasing a vehicle.
1:15 This decayed fish was found under the hood during the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) on this brand-new vehicle.
1:21 Drivetrain parts were removed so they can be sold.
1:31 GM (general motors) SUV.
1:42 The mechanic used a floor jack and jack stands and did the tire rotation for the customer.
1:49 "Whoever installed the spark plugs most likely used an impact gun for the ignition coil bolts."
2:02 "1 out of 6 spark plugs were like this. Not sure if the ground electrode was missing from the factory or the customer broke it off."
2:10 The technician said he was about 10-15 feet away when this happened.
2:20 "If you knew the customer you would be like oh I see how that can happen lol."
2:31 Instead of putting the under tray that fell off in the back of the van the customer taped it to the hood of their vehicle.
2:43 The children's car seat was loose/not properly secured. The ball is supposed to tell you if the car seat is at the correct angle, which it looks to be but it's not tight enough so it rolls back and forth causing that noise. Good find on the technician's part!

At least we had one smart customer who decided to sell off a vehicle for parts instead of driving it away.
They probably did try to drive off, but it just broke in two
That customer is MVP of this video.
@@egyphon right!
Maybe people were selling the bits that fell off as he drove away.

"There's a lot of wind noise when I open the sunroof." sounds a lot like "When I step in the shower, I suddenly feel moisture."
Yes, but you don't realize that the wind noise still happens _when it's standing still!_ The shop has called a priest in for a consultation.
I bet they even added "but only if the car is moving" 😅
"When I hit myself with a hammer it hurts."

And it's really bad at 100mph in the rain.
The customer sending a complaint to the OEM because their brake lights glow is a prime example of people going as far out of their way as possible to avoid admitting they're wrong or stupid
At least the brake lights work.
Well, it's become "Presidential" at this point. Granted...this is by far NOT a new behavior from people, so it's not even close to _just_ The former Cheeto-in-chief's fault. I think he just showed folks that it was totally okay to be that ignorant and confidently incorrect. :(

I'm guessing the explanation embarrassed the "genius" customer to the point that they wanted a camera that doesn't show the brake lights...at night. Easy solution, either don't use the brakes or don't look at the screen. Try using the mirror maybe...
"I lost my trailer when my entire frame failed and the poor guy behind me probably died. Can you put a new hitch on for me so I can kill someone else?"

Soon we'll see a spray foam car. "Customer brought in their spray foam car. Apparently the last owner installed some metal and painted over it" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
well tecnically all cars of the tuning era monsters of the early 2000 were made of foam , fiberglass and glitter paint xD
To be fair, a foam core between two layers of fiberglass is a standard boat building technique.
A foam core between two layers of rust does seem dubious.
in the next episode there will be someone saying that he spray foamed the car because someone on the internet said this is how boats are done
Along with a bit of JB weld and a few zip ties.
Crocs. Not just for walking anymore!
The fact that a balky shifter was the only symptom that Mr. Radiator Dragger noticed amazes me!

Milk crate guy had so much faith on the crate
And here I thought there was no limit to what a milkcrate could do.
Worked with his old car that was 70% sprayfoam
He failed to fill in the holes of the milk crate with spray foam. Shortcuts like that are the source of many problems.
I've got buckets that come with a picture of a mercedes e class resting on them, one under each wheel. So I suppose the milk crate isn't too wild of an idea haha
I weigh 220. A milk crate will barely hold me on the edge corners. It's not a step stool either.

Put enough spray foam on the coil so that the hood holds it in place.

When in what dimension does someone think two plastic milk crates will keep a Toyota sienna in the air 💀
You think people are smart?
Well, you can stand on a milk crate, so it should be able to hold ten times that weight, right?
The customer is probably thinking, "I should have used MORE milk crates. That was my mistake."

Americans are entitled and think they have a Dog given right to ride. They also think car repairs should be commensurate with the value of their car. You can't explain them why a trans R&R will cost $5,000 for their $2,000 car.

1:31 - I wonder how far this complaint went.
Step 1) Complain to the dealership. Tech says this is expected behavior because of the light from the brake lights.
Step 2) Complain to the manufacturer. The representative says this is expected behavior, and that brake lights are required by law.
Step 3) Complain to the government. The government says that brake lights are required safety equipment and that you should go pound sand.
Step 4) Customer pulls the brake lights fuse. Customer gets rear ended in the middle of the night because the tail lights aren't working and then complains to the dealership.
We've gone full circle! 😆

I appreciate your faith in morons. They just won't let you (or me) down.
The wind noise sunroof complaint reminds of me a similar story way way back on the old Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers radio show. A woman complained of a zip zip zip noise with the driver's window down. They could not replicate it. She said it happened mostly driving down her own street. So they drove out there and found it was the echo from a picket fence down the road from her house.
To be fair an intermitent noise you can't figure out probably isn;t a bad thing to get checked. I wouldn't exactly expect most people to realise its an echo.
That rotted in half spray foam parts truck reminded me of my neighbors truck. Early 90s 1500 Silverado he bought from a good “buddy” that he was all excited for. I asked how much rust it had being over 30yrs old and in WI and he said very little, it’s really clean with a new engine. This thing was so rusty the RR Xcab mount was gone, GONE!! He brought it to a muffler shop for new exhaust and the frame cracked in half while on the lift. He had it fixed and when he told me what happened I asked why he bought it with the cab clearly not sitting on the frame properly, not to mention literally every other body panel being toast as well. He didn’t notice, a 3-4” variation in the body lines and he didn’t see it🤦🏼♂️ Told him he needs to punch his buddy in the mouth for that BS deal. Yes he’s still driving it yes it’s now a whole lot worse than when he bought it and no I don’t let him follow me anywhere 😂

I grew up in the desert southwest. I have lived in the "rust belt " since 2000. I am still floored at the short life of vehicles due to rust from so much salt.
You can protect them from it. Just apply protective layers when new and it won't really get affected. We salt the roads here too and cars last Much longer than this - heck, most of our cars are older than 2009 and we have mandatory yearly inspections that won't allow rust damage on structural components.
Rinse the underbody after the roads are dry, and you'll keep it mostly at bay for cheap
Seeing some of these horror stories makes me glad we have mandatory roadworthiness testing of vehicles in the UK... mostly.
