Bright Message Records is a brand new Rotterdam based reggae label focused on different soundsystem related subgenres of reggae. The fruitful collaboration between The Roots and Dub Attic and Masego Soundsystem resulted in the bright mission to spread a concious and positive message amongst Jah people through new music. Embracing roots, dub, and steppers artists, Bright Message Records supports both international and local based chanters, producers and players of instruments. Good afternoon Sister Joanne, I know what you mean hahaha.
Blackboard Jungle is a Rootical Warrior Sound system with its own label.
These are tunes that rub a bit with the original roots and culture sound.
On the other hand, there are certainly very good tunes among them.
Not everything can always be 100% to your taste, but you will continue to have that with a slightly larger label.
I bought almost all their productions in one batch on vinyl. That's why I enjoyed playing this session.
The next studio session will be roots and culture again, this will take a while, because I have invited some guests again.
I hope to go live sometime in between.

roots and dub… in regards to this session your dancing was in fact the highlight of the entire show… now what I’m about to reveal to you Arie’ might just shock you and you might need a sit down after you hear me say it but..roots reggae is not my favourite genres of music… I’m more of a dubstep.. electronic dance music rock and roll kinda broad… I only tune in to these attic sessions because I really like you and what it is you’re trying to do.. and you’re succeeding at it too.. see you are spreading that beautiful message of love.. harmony togetherness..hope for a better world and overstanding and for this.. To be honest, I also like electronic music, that's why I upload some stepper sets every now and then. I also have a lot of techno vinyl. As I have mentioned before, I have a busy company. When I came into contact with the sound system culture, a switch turned in my head. Instead of just chasing money, I discovered that respecting each other and being good to other people brings much more satisfaction and joy to your life. From that point of view I started the attic. Playing and spreading my beloved reggae music and creating a beautiful meeting place for my brothers. Very nice to read that it appeals to you and that you appreciate our efforts.
