I'm not familiar with Scott or what he does, but as an average person, I can only admire that setup from afar. Reality hits hard when I return to my CSL DD and homemade rig. 😄
We love and use both. The main reasons we use Asetek are two fold: 1) The software auto switches to the sim that you are on. This is so underrated to how good this is. If you think about who some of our customers are - Like Scott - They may not always be on the sim and may not want to learn and remember all the nuances. With Asetek if youre on iRacing, it switches to iracing profile. Gone are the days of being in a race on ACC using an ACC profile, get off the system for a week, come back to get into iracing and notice how your wheel doesn't feel right because you left it in the ACC profile and forgot to switch it. This has GREATLY helped many of our customers with ease and customer issues. 2) We have done countless blind tests with people between a Simubue Pro and Invicta and public events. Almost every single time people would tell us they preferred the asetek. Both are very good and since using them both often, I personally hate my DD2 at home and recently switched it. Note that Asetek purchased Simucubes IP. Doesnt mean they are identical but the foundations and software are built from the back of Simucube.
Imagine paying 50k plus and the sim isn’t connected to the monitors so therefore imo it makes a weird disconnection feeling to what you’re seeing and feeling. I believe they monitors should move with the cockpit, of course I see why the size and scale of the screens are super wide can be a reason why that isn’t the case but something I noticed
Take a look at Dbox (the system used) and many other motion systems - sigma integrale, Dofrealtiy, Qubic and others…. Monitors aren’t attached to the system… we don’t make the motion system but we work with the different brands. They specifically do not attach monitors. You also, like everything else, adjust and account for motion in the software. Think how when not using motion the inside of the car is simulated that your moving up and down etc - it can do the same thing with motion. Lastly, in real life race cars, when you hit the brake, the car isn’t looking to the floor - your head does. The cars hardly move due to race suspension. People really should try things and understand them…
@@passone Many unfortunately still dont want VR. Fortunately it can easily be added to this system. We work with Pimax, Meta, BigScreen, and Varjo directly. Many customers get vr sickness, struggle with the constant configuring of the headset, the disconnect between the real world and in headset and more. Personally we feel VR is def moving in the right direction. Its not nearly as crisp and clean but can be so immersive. Yesterday we had two pro drivers on both types of systems. They ultimate preferred the triple screen set up as VR was "too blurry" in the distance and some what disorienting. A lot of this one can get used to with time but some dont want to bother. For others its also about use case. If many people will be on it, much easier for them to use triple screens not to mention not having to deal with another persons sweat lol.
Who ever passes the turbo s 992 especially Scott s which is full of pure turbos titanium exsausts and bunch of things again to have fun with 720 s he just doesn’t know anything about supercars he just chooses like a women the one with the nicest colour and the nicest shape .. the comparison between Porsche and McLaren is like comparing a Mercedes with Kia 😂😂😂the 911 992 turbo s is the best 911 ever made so fast in 0-100 2,6 sec and this time is stock .. omg it’s not just fast and for a game the sound of the pure turbines is creepy the quality of the Porsche is above any super car ..for this my friend stay in games and game room and learn the supercars for those who knows … any way the construction with screens and the reccaro that you made in Scot is fire 🔥 you are indispensable for these things but about super cars …….. 🤔 maclaren only problems cheap materials …ok is fast car but the comparison with a 992 turbo s is chaotic the difference.. so simply ..
Considering I have both of them as well as others, my comment was based purely on what I said in the video. If you only had to choose one supercar and you had nothing else, the one thing that people would pick would be McLaren or Lamborghini well over at 9:11 turbo S. The reason being is that it’s more than just speed and comfort. It’s also about what people are going to look at and what people have always wanted. The best part is that you took all the time to write this and chances are you don’t have either one of them. The McLaren is not using cheap parts. It uses light parts. That’s one of the big misconceptions about the people on the Internet who don’t know anything versus the ones that actually understand what the car is made for. it is extremely raw compared to the 911, the Lamborghini, the Audi R8, and others. It looks like a true supercar, drives like a true supercar, and checks all of the boxes. This is not at all to say that a 911 turbo S is not great. It’s the perfect for my wife. It’s a great daily however turns zero heads (unlike the 992 GT3RS) and is just too easy. There is no rawness to it. So in your opinion, if it’s you want to pick the 911 Turbo S over at McLaren by all means go for it. Chances are when you pull up to an event with others and everyone’s paying attention to their cars and not yours you’ll second-guess why you did that choice. Again, it’s a great car, but definitely not the first thing that people decide to go by when they want a “ super car “

Any reason why Asetek over Simucube for wheel bases?
