    I've just discovered that other than the control valves, you can get all of those parts at your local Lowe's or home depot for less than 1/2 the price, and that is not even including the 10% military discount. I'll be building this valve for a lot less than 200 bucks. Thanks for the tips sir. Your videos are helping me to save a lot of money on my business startup cost. I have subscribed.

    Got lucky and amazon had the those metering valves on sale for 30 each! I built mine for under 150

    We sell them for 350$ as well. Lots of guys make their own. We’ve been running them a couple years now with no issues.

      Power Washing here’s a link. We probably sold about 100 of them this year. Everyone likes this design pretty good. Your exactly right on over tightening. It’ll crack one in a heart beat.

      @@southeastsoftwash4020 Don't the 1/2" check valve for the shc need viton o'rings ? I haven't seen a buna o'ring hold up very long when exposed to bleach, or could it be switched out to viton ?

    I used a 4 way ball valve hose splitter and it works good. Had to add check valves on the hose.

    Good video Jason. I have been using ball valves instead and they work but have a tendency to loose their
    prime. Check valve may fix that though. I may build one of these. Again very good video. 👍

    Would it be ok to build this exactly the same except for with a 3/4 inch barb at the top going into the pump. I want to fee my 7 gpm with a 3/4 hose. Is this even necessary?

    Been some time.. but do you know of control valves that could be powered by say, 24v and open/close to various levels to allow a variety of mixes between water, SH and surfactants? Is there a limit to the number of these you can put on.. not sure there would be a need for more than three.. but perhaps one for degreaser, another for a different stain remover, etc. What is the overall pressure these items need to handle? I assume since they are typically connected at the low pressure spigot/hose before the pressure washer pump.. they basically need to be large enough like 5/8" to handle 5gpm to 10gpm flow rates?

    Hey Jason would it be better to use 3/4 for better flow I saw where you use 3/4 on suction side

      you can but i noticed when i was doing roof mix so both valves all the way on i had to turn the pressure up on pump to keep it running and not pulsing the pump

I figured they were better but are they worth the cost compared to the pentaire valves which are pretty much a 3rd of the cost. I want to build a system…I’m willing to spend the extra money if you think it’s worth it

    How do you determine the settings you need for different strength mixes? Do you experiment with different settings and calculate it based on the settings for your pump?

      I did a bucket test to see how much it was pulling. And through that bucket test I knew what percentage is I was porn at what and how much I was pulling chemical wise

      @@kingofpressurewash There are 3 valves. 1 for water, 1 for SH and 1 for surfactant. To test for the SH% do you test it with the water valve open all the way? Do you have to turn off the surfactant valve so it has no affect on the test?

      Chris Lane I ran it with my water valve all the way open. And then I also ran it with my surfactant where I thought it needed to be also which is barely cracked open

      You really need to do a bucket test to make sure what it’s pulling

    So what is your usual percent range for roofs 4 to 5 Or around 50/50? I know it depends on the filth but I mean on average.

    What's better direct drive pumps or belt driven? I have a 14 horse predator engine 420 cc. I'm researching a pressure pump for it and I haven't seen any comparisons of the two styles of pumps I've mentioned, any and all help is appreciated.

      I like the belt driven pumps for the fact that you don’t have all that weight hanging off of the housing of the motor. Some direct drives won’t pull water either

    Hello, I have questions about the proportioner, I understand that on goes in sh, one in water and one in soap tank( small nipple) my question is this: do you dilute the soap down first ( elemonator) and then it goes trough the proportioner or do you just pull it as is.? Does that make sense?

    I’m trying to figure out where to buy bulk chemical/bleach that is a strong concentration an a good brand of surfactant/soap. I’ve been sticking to purple power for soap an Lowe’s 1 gallon bleach concentrate, the bleach works well It’s worked so far but I sometimes have more trouble then I want with my batch’s being not strong enough an end up having to go back to the store to get my chemical. I’ve been making batches in a 8 gallon tote that I carry around on a little cart where I use a downstream receiver hooked up to my pressure washer so I don’t run it through my pressure washer pump. I’ve looked everywhere in my area an have hit a wall every time. recommendations please I’d greatly appreciate it!

    Great Videos as always. Would you say it would be 1/2" hosing into the proportioner (water and chlorine line) and then 5/8" out into the pump and then 5/8' through for the applicator/house wash hose?

    Jason I decided to build one of these and it turned out pretty good. Just wondering do you really need a water valve since it is open 100% of the time?
    I run mine with the 3 valves but wondering if I could get more flow without the water valve. Just run a check valve and 1/2 plastic pipe instead.
    I run a 7 gpm North Star 12 volt pump.
    Seemed to loose some distance after installing the mixing manifold . Was batch mixing and using ball valves before.

      No you really don’t need to the water valve other than priming the sh and stuff. I did have to adjust my pump so that way it would actually run right when all three valves are open

      Power Washing I am going to take the Pentair water valve off. Still run a check valve though. May run a one minute bucket test and see if there is any flow difference before and after with the water valve. Thanks man for doing this video. Saved me some money and the mix valve is sweet. No more batch mixing 👍

    Correction on one of the parts jason. On your website you have listed 3 -1/2 inch 90 elbow female to male. And you on this video are using female to female elbows.

      Yeah that’s because the parts are ordered was the inch and a half and not half inch so I had to make went to work

    Guys dont buy the parts for this stuff off of amazon you will pay 300 or 400 percent MORE than its average price, do a simple copy paste search to find way better prices.
