To paint you activate something to draw on in the world, like piece of paper (you can make your own paper with Ashfall too) with something to draw with in inventory, like charcoal, inkwell, paints. The rest has in game instructions. I'd advise to start fast, at first your drawings will have quality of preschool modern art attempt and if anyone will buy them, then just for use as toilet paper.

Don’t you have conflicts between TR and Rebirth?
He just ignores them. Should be a bit less severa than in Fathis days. Mostly faulty mesh replacers not keeping vanilla bounds. It's still advised to use more modular sollutions.
