- Here is a complete review of our new Burris fast fire 4 from unboxing to mounting on the gun! We absolutely love this new sight, everything about it just makes sense. We hope you enjoy the review!
Just installed a Fast Fire 3 on a pic rail. I took your advice and mounted it all the way forward. I agree on the field of view it gives me. Now I've got to get it patterned and dialed in on my turkey loads. Thanks for sharing and good luck this turkey season.
Fantastic! They sight in reallyyyy fast. Just eye ball and see what your gut is. Tend to be high on a pic rail
Waiting to get my Beretta APX A1 and mount the Burris fast fire four.Enjoyed your great review covering all the great features on this optic.Your comment on mounting of sight forward on a shotgun makes perfect sense from an experienced hunter. Thanks for the great video and enjoy this turkey season.
Thanks, we try to make It as easy to get because we had to figure It out the hard way
Great review. Nice to hear the practical uses vs reading bullet points off a brochure.
That’s what we were aiming for
Not the red dot for you if you are going to put the shotgun through a lot of abuse. Had mine sighted in and after throwing it in the boot of the quad for a few hunting trips the red dot was off by close to 4 feet on horizontal aim. Would not hold zero.
I have a very similar setup I just purchased and have found the Tristar isn’t cycling rounds from the mag. I just shot 50 rounds and not a single one even ejected. Hope you’re having better luck with yours than I am!
Which tristar? Ya mines pumping rounds through no issue whatsoever.
@@DIYHunter same one you have. The 20ga Viper G2 Turkey. Glad to hear yours is working correctly!
@@Jube450 you don’t suppose it’s the rounds your running? I have 2 different 12 gauges and low brass rounds tbey won’t cycle at all, I’ve only shot high turkey loads. Not that It should matter, but a thought
@@DIYHunter I’ve ran tss loads and high brass 7.5’s out of it and neither work. I read on GobblerNation someone said it takes upwards of 100 rounds to break in, which I find absurd. I’m at 60 rounds and still notta. Calling TriStar tomorrow and taking it to a local gunsmith to have a look over.
@@Jube450 that is crazy what part does It jam during, not even eject?
You think this will hold zero on a 12g with slugs?
I know this more ideal for turkey hunting. But do you think it could be used well for waterfowling? What MOA would you recommend for duck and geese hunting? I like the speedbead mount to line more up with the rib and front bead. Any thoughts would be awesome.
We run them for waterfowl also! Adjustable MOa size on this model which is great
would you ever consider it out to 100 yards? maybe for varmits?
No, but we have a 12 gauge that takes 3.5” we can choke down for varmits with TSS that would be close to that
@@DIYHunter Tks
is there a mount to mount it directly to the shotgun rail, something like a new Aimpoint Acro S-2?
SumToy
Question I know a lot of people use red dots for turkey hunting, do you ever feel like you’ve spooked a turkey with the glare of the lense since it is red?
Glare on our lenses aren’t red not sure I’ve really ever seen that. And they have sun shields. So I’d say definitely not. More of an issue off our camera lenses for sure
Good job
Thanks
Funny dog
What shotgun? Barrel length?
Do you trust this optic to handle 12 Gauge on a semi auto platform without losing zero?
We have It on a bunch of 12 gauges. Haven’t had an issue in years
what about shooting flying ducks would it work for that ?
That’s what It has been being used for more and more!
Can you take the pic mount off? I am trying to put it on a sumtoy mount
What would i want to take the pic Mount off for? It’s what i Mount the sight to? I’m not sure i understand
This red dot took forever to come out.
Took a hot second thars for sure
@@DIYHunter I just got mine today, paid $317. Feeling is there is too much going on with the reticle option. The 11 moa + 3 moa center kind of have no use. The dot and the circle wing is useful. The cover is made of plastic. I like the versatility of it but having already too many purpose made red dot, this one only work if this is all u have. I wish there was more brightness settings.
Awesome video!!!
Hopefully It helps someone out trying to decide
Have you used that red dot to shoot ducks and geese by chance ?
Yup, both. Use the larger MOA
Do u think it’s a pretty good red dot never heard of em would luv ur opinion
Burris has been around 50 years or so, lifetime warranted no questions asked. Works great, we own a bunch
🤣🤣🤣🤣...Recticle.....🤣🤣🤣
