A quarry diorama on top of a helix: construction and detailing

Ever been in a quandary about what kind of industry to model on a branch or spur line? While I was considering what to model atop my layout’s helix, I came across a photo of the Martins Creek Quarry loader. It became the inspiration and guide for the development of the diorama outlined in this video. I scratch-built the structures from plans that I scaled from the prototype photo. The diorama also includes sixty-one trees that I made using the wire-armature method.

Thanks Peter. Thanks also for the request. I have been assembling some footage on tree-making, so it's good to hear that people might find it interesting. I think it will be more effective with narration rather than text, but that likely will make for a lengthy video (~15 mins). What do you think? Cheers
