@@GregWittstockThePondGuy thank you for going natural and caring about the eco system. I'm a water baby that grew up near lakes and wetlands. In the 50's the water was clear. Until people (farmers, the county etc. ) started using chemicals to kill weeds and and it seeped into the lake and killed off the growth around the lake that was the filter system. :-(

Happened to our river in Canada …we had a farm that banked on the river and it was pristine and teeming with life and plants…A plant moved into out town a few miles away and it dumped waste into our river….dead fish, frogs, plants ,bugs…gone overnight. Swimming hole and wading areas lost…my Dad came into the house to tell the family and he cried. We were all in shock. The river has somewhat healed in this day but is still not very viable . That happened when I was about 9 yo and this year I’m 80. We must all guard our waters. That family home farm was settled in the 1800’s and never harmed the water. It and the fiver fed us kept us healthy and gave us great enjoyment and safety. We also need to return to former farming tactics which didn’t rely on chemical…natural fertilizer from the cattle, and crop rotation and not excessive tilling with big machines.Just my opinion.
The in farm in this story was a 100 acre farm and supported a family of eight to 12 people and they all thrived .
Laura and Aaron, you are turning your property into an American Wonderland!
So very blessed to be able to raise your kids in such a beautiful environment.

They ALL will be blessed for doing gods work with giving up their time to bring the families vision to life.... Laura you are going to LOVE watching your pond water babies grow.... I have a SMALL pond with 3 koi's ( oldest being around 5 ish years old... I had my first koi commit suicide ( it jumped out of the pond) as I'm sure you're aware that koi do jump out of the water... Would LOVE to have a pond like yours but not sure if it will ever happen... I LOVE my babies...LIVING THE AQUA LIFE

I know Benjamin and Samantha were your biggest concern, when considering whether or not to put in a pond, but you could see right from the start just how much they love this new space. Until this video, I had no idea of the true scope of involvement of so many people, and kudos to Ken for his masterful editing of this video and cutting in footage of all the players. And you are the hostess with the mostest - being "on" all four days, hosting, socializing, guiding, feeding, and making feel comfortable -- multitudes of new people....we are in awe of you! Quick random question - we have long seen in videos the neighbor's b-ball court behind, but for the first time, noticed their serious night-time lighting of the court. Do they illuminate it often? Good thing you are on good terms with all your neighbors! :)

I completely teared up when Laura so very carfully helped the lily into the pond. Like it was a baby. So easy to see how much this have meant. This is way more epic than the hartley ever what. These last few days have been amazing for the dedicated followers of Garden Answers. This has been breathtaking viewing! I thought the Hartley construction and landscaping magical….. the long driveway with the developing treescape and floral recesses sculptural……the cut flower garden and the orchard with the meadows cape beneath so ,so floriferous…..and now the pondscape with its rocks, trees and plants. Laura, it’s just so lovely a space, so peaceful looking. But I must say, when you sat in front of the pond in the calm of the morning you just looked as pretty as can be. You just look so content and, I’m sure, relieved that this project produced such a wonderful result! It was such fun for our two youngest to watch being put together - with all the big equipment. Benjamin must’ve been in Heaven!
This was so fun watching the symphony of creators design this beautiful area. Calling it a pond just doesn't seem glorious enough! I bet you will miss these folks, they are a party waiting to happen!!!

The pond looks beautiful! My grandfather used to feed fish in his backyard. His tip to not waste fish food to dissolving is to tap the rock 3 times with pvc pipe, drop the fish food. They quickly learned the taps meant food and they would come up to the surface to eat. He also tethered a floating ring to the shore an tossed the food in the ring to contain the food .
So a week ago you didn’t have the pond. And now you do 😎 what a magnificent addition.

Laura and Aaron, what a special life you have created for your family. This pond couldn’t be more beautiful and I’m excited to witness all the plants and fish grow to maturity over the years. So many wonderful memories to be made for Benjamin, Samantha, and their cousins and friends. Yours will be the go to house for all to gather. (the kool-aid house)

This whole process was just magical. The entire project is just so wholesome. I so appreciated your inclusion of Benjamin and Samantha. They will forever remember that. It's amazing how much can be accomplished when you don't care who gets the credit! Or even better, make sure everyone else gets the credit! I keep pausing the video to stop and take in what's been accomplished. I've waited with bated breath every day this week, waiting for the next installment and seeing the progress! It looks like it's been there forever, but then I remind myself that every boulder and every article there was chosen and placed exactly how it is--a million decisions, large and small! Also, the greatest gift you can give someone is to TRUST them! Clearly, all these people are professionals, and you just trusted them with your property and let the pros perform their craft. I loved all the edification at the end, thanking each person and promoting each of their businesses, websites, and CZcams channels. My eyes stung on several occasions, it was so touching. I loved seeing the tent out there and can imagine how fun it must have been eating with everyone and becoming fast friends. I am more than a little curious about the price tag for all this, including the plant materials and the koi, but I'm just in awe and now have a new thing one my Dreams List! I'm looking forward to seeing it continue to develop!
I’ve eagerly anticipated morning arriving so I can watch the next phase of the pond installation. I loved every minute. Since this pond is nothing that will happen at my house, it was great fun to watch this process. It’s truly beautiful and I know the whole family will have joy and memories for a lifetime. I have always thought your gardens and land space is so beautiful and couldn't get better and then the addition of this which looks like it has actually always been there. Beautiful slice of heaven! I love the fact you thanked everyone separately on camera - was nice for us all to 'meet' them all. Of course, there are more people behind the scenes such as Monica and your mother and other family members. Also, I'm sure Bethany and Paul played an important role in taking care of the gardens on a normal basis while you and Aaron were busy with this project. Looks like you all had a blast - such love and respect for each other.
That was such a nice thing for her to do, she is a class act!

Oh! Laura! I have so enjoyed watching this! That pond is so beautiful! It was also a joy watching all the comradery and fun everyone had. I can see your thankfulness for such a blessing. Laura, you are very special, and it was very obvious by all the people who came to help you and Aaron. I know Aaron is loving this as well. Also watching Benjamin and Samantha was so sweet. Her little squeals at the release of fish made me laugh out loud. Enjoy, sweet family!!
